Artitech - 1st and foremost I am not a orthopedic surgeon, (darn). I have been helping people for many years and have researched the heck out of the subject. Every situation is different. I would say that if you grind it down to the nub then a "total" is necessary. If you catch it early then a hemi is possible: Way less invasive. I would also recommend that the procedure be done anterior (from the front) verse a lateral (side) procedure. Old school doctors do it from the side and many don't do a hemi. I would push them and only do a hemi. Try not to wait, catch it early. Like any other profession get one with experience, one that has done at least 75 - 100 or more would do the trick. Hope it helps, BW Total: 1
Artitech
Hey I really appreciate your response Big Wave! The Dr I have been being seen by, told me he went in from the front like what you have described! Thanks again, side note, I have been going and getting Extracorporeal shock wave Therapy.(ESWT)! It has really helped me with the pain! The problem is it’s very expensive! Thanks again! 🤠 JMHO 1
