It will also push many people into crypto’s.  I kind of think that is the plan.  I worked on me.  I’m in.  Zero interest on a 10 year is RUBBISH.  You can get 2% on many Crypto’s and if you are early and stake your coins I’ve see some as high as 12-14%.  Big question though, is it safe?  Will Crypto be declared illegal?  Will your account get hacked?  What happens if the electricity goes out and you can’t get your money?  Lots of questions. Eventually this will all be figured out.  Now is the time to exploit these bull runs while we can after a 3 year long consolidation and basing period.

I just earned 20% on my holdings in crypto today alone. And over 45% in the last two weeks.

Check out this post that I made in the crypto section for a better understanding of where I believe

we are at.

As far as being made illegal, we're way past that point now. The more important question is how much

regulation will the governments of the world place on cryptos? Good thing that Trump isn't a big fan

of regulation.

I have some questions about gold and silver:

Assuming that silver will be worth 1/10 the price of gold in the future.

Suppose, for the sake of argument, that gold will be worth $10,000 per ounce and silver will be worth $1,000 per ounce.

If I buy 100 oz. of silver today, at $30 per oz., it will cost me $3,000.

In the future, my $100 oz. of silver will be worth $100,000.

If I buy 1 1/2 oz. of gold today, at $2,000 per oz., it will cost me $3000

In the future, my 1 1/2 oz. of gold will be worth $15,000.

If my math is correct, why are all the "experts" (i.e. Robert Kiyosaki and many others) telling us to buy gold AND silver?

Why aren't these experts telling us to buy ONLY silver?

What am I missing here?  Why buy gold at all ???????

I agree Floridian.  Maybe because if things go to crap they will confiscate all the gold like they did in the 30’s

Since you are doing the Math.  Look how much BTH, ETH, and XRP you could buy for 3k and then use 80k for BTC as a high price, 10k for ETH and 2k for XRP.  Now what do you want to invest in?  Those are the figures the Crypto Gurus are throwing around.  Of course we all know about Guru predictions being Dinar holders.

I buy silver and the coins mentioned as a hedge for dollar devaluation and inflation.   I usually have only about 10% of my monies in hedging tools but I have a lot higher percentage these days.  I’m not liking what I’m seeing with our Government ( 25-27 Trillion in debt), the Fed and their QE programs. (printing of money) and the prospect of a Socialist winning the election in Nov.

Buy Silver, buy some Cryptos, and a bug out place for if the dollar crashes

I’m not a prepper but I found this to be amusing at first and then curiosity got the best of me and I ordered a bag. 😝 😆

I have some XRP.  BTC and ETH are not for me.  I bought some silver, but I'm looking ahead to try to get some more as insurance.  People are suggesting gold, and I just can't figure out why.

I have some survival food, but as for a bugout place, that's way beyond my reach, until XRP comes in. 😀

Pitch, let us know if it does taste like shortbread cookies. 😁

I’m thinking vanilla flavored cardboard taste.  😂 😆 😝

Floridian, I have always bought more silver than gold.  Even when Gold was so much cheaper. Silver is tougher to find, mine, refine and it has more industrial uses.  As far as a bug out place, it can be a friend you know who lives out in the country or just a place you think you can hang out for a week or two.  Maybe a nearby State Park or a secluded beach.  I have a friend who has buried food and other supplies near an old lake he uses to fish.   You may also look at some other Altcoins like Cardano or Tron, Lend, Vet.

Thanks, @Pitcher

I am considering buying Vet.  I hope it goes on Coinbase soon.  I don't want to open any other accounts.

I had an account with a foreign exchange and then Americans were no longer allowed to use the exchange, and I had to scramble to get my crypto off the exchange.  Big hassle.  Too much for me to deal with.

And what do you think the effects of this will be?

Furthermore, I  don't by the Covid19 excuse.

With the coin shortage it seems more likely that the U.S. Mint is cutting production because it needs to produce the new real money coins.

@ladyGrace'sDaddy @Pitcher

Interesting video LGD, thanks.

The West Point Mint chose to make less Silver Eagles.

His advice at the end of the video was to buy Gold Eagles and Canadian Silver Maple Leafs.

Wouldn't it be better to buy the Silver Eagles, as they would be more rare and maybe worth more in the future?

Also, I checked prices:

The bullion dealer wants $37.31 per Silver Eagle

The Government Mint wants $64.50 per Silver Eagle

Floridian, we are think alike. I am buying cryptos that have a defined purpose. I will get into the trading down the road. I have set goals for myself. I have met those in XRP and I am now working on Vet. I like Silver over gold and I have been buying , even at these prices.

Yes, we certainly do think alike.  😊

Is there a thread here that guides the neophyte through the process?  - i.e., I'm finally understanding what's behind XRP, Bitcoin etc. what's driving the values as a digital asset and why these have value; and I know zippo about setting up an account, where to go so I won't lose my shirt etc. I saw there was some talk about starting a XRP thread - but I'm looking for the basics. Is there a website that can be recommended for more education? Thx

If you go to the Crypto News Thread you will see that I have posted some decent news sites and exchanges.

One of my favorite news sites is Todayonchain.com

I bought my first bitcoins at Coinbase.com. It took me less than 20 minutes and I was a little shocked how easy it was to buy and sell on this site. Just make sure the computer, or mobile device you set it up on has an email address for the verification process.  I have so many computers and other devices I couldn’t figure it out for about 5 minutes.  (because I set it up on one computer and during the verification process I couldn’t get in because I tried to do it on a device with no email).  Make sure you read the directions and you will not have an once of problems.

I have since opened up accounts on other exchanges that are a little more complicated because of the security process.

Maybe some one of the others who own Crypto can chime in.  Don’t let an unfamiliar situation keep you from opening an account and getting you some.  It’s not very hard and if I can do it anyone can.

There are also Separate Threads on Ethereum and XRP.  Check em out.
