Shafaq News / The "al-Fath" parliamentary bloc announced on Saturday the reasons for the resignation of the Alliance leader Hadi al-Amiri from the membership of the House of Representatives.

The bloc's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Asadi, said in a press conference held at the Parliament building, which was attended by a reporter of Shafaq News, that "the media reported on Al-Amiri's resignation from the membership of the House of Representatives."

He added that "in order for the analyzes not to proliferate the reason for the resignation, Al-Amiri submitted his resignation from the membership of Parliament to devote himself to his work," noting that "Al-Amiri was keen to attend the most sessions of Parliament, especially those related to important decisions."

And Al-Asadi said, "As a result of the adherence of the Al-Fateh coalition within Parliament, Al-Amiri submitted his resignation, and the alternative, Abdul Karim Al-Ansari, will be part of the coalition and the parliamentary bloc."

Meanwhile, the PMF denied, in a statement today, what is being circulated in some media outlets regarding the replacement of the head of the authority with Al-Amri.

Parliamentary sources said earlier today that the leader of the "Al-Fath" coalition, Secretary General of the Badr Organization, has submitted a formal request to resign from the membership of the Iraqi parliament.

The sources told Shafaq News that Al-Amiri submitted a formal request to the parliament presidency to resign.

The sources added that the leader of the Badr Abdul Karim Al-Ansari organization is the alternative candidate for Al-Amiri for the parliament.

The sources added that Al-Ansari will formally repeat the parliamentary oath after Parliament approved Al-Amri's resignation.

Al-Amiri resigned, “ to devote himself to his work”.

Good riddance!!!  What’s his work, counting his embezzled billions from the people of Iraq.
