Why would there be an Iraqi Finance Expo

on June 22-24th.....

Just sayin.....👍

Because It’s An Annual Event In It’s 3rd Year - Which Was Originally Scheduled In January (See Below) But Has Been Postponed Twice This Year ! :o

First Because Of The Protests In Tahrir Square In Which Hundreds Of Protesters Were Killed By The Iranian Militia’s - Which Led To Abdul-Mahdi’s Resignation !

Then After That - It Was Rescheduled For April ! Only To Be Later Postponed Again Because Of Covid ! :surgeon:

So Now It’s Been Reset Yet Once Again For Later This Month ! :lmao:

But This Is The Hopium Thread - So Let’s Just Go With Whatever Reasoning U Were Thinking As To Why They’re Having It This Month...

Iraq Finance Expo: The future of financial technologies in Iraq

image.thumb.jpeg.4b1c5ecc5cea2a0f8ac448afa02aabcb.jpeg

Officially cohosted with Central Bank of Iraq, the 3rd Annual Iraq Finance Expo (IFEX) is dedicated to unlocking the latest financial technologies and innovations in the Iraqi financial market. Now in its 3rd year, IFEX is now hosted at the Baghdad International Fairground.  The full range of Iraqi Financial service institutions are represented at the exhibition including Iraqi and International Banks, payment service providers, finTech start-Ups, digital technologies, investment companies, capital markets, etc.

The 2-day IFEX programme shines a spotlight on Iraq’s rapidly developing banking and financial services industry. With traditional banking methods now out-of-date, new technologies are leading the charge in global growth trends. Iraq is poised to take advantage of these innovations.

The third edition of IFEX will give insights on the Iraqi financial services community providing a platform for financial experts, banks, digital agencies, finTech start-ups, tech companies, and software providers to explore new opportunities and provide solutions to big financial challenges.

First, you did not make me mad, and no apology was necessary, but thank you for offering one.  It's just that quite a few of us here like hoping this is about to pop, for us, it makes the passing days (weeks, months, years) more enjoyable.  Other people don't want to get excited unless there's proof it's about to happen, and that's fine.  But us hopium people would prefer to be with our own where we can support and encourage each in reslishing out hopium, and without having others try to bring us down.

I tried my best to be courteous and respectful in how I conveyed my sentiments to you in my post yesterday, and I just want to acknowledge and recognize that you were exceptionally gracious in your response - thank you for that!  Me thinks you might be a bit of a hopium partaker yourself!  GOOOO RV!

I just read the updates on the Xchange of America thread.  Apparently Treasury vault been sending out emails to past customers asking to buy back dinar.  The is most likely because they have more buyers than they can handle and need to restock dinar.  It seems they started at $800 about a month ago and has been increasing $25 with each subsequent email.  Last night the offer jumped up $50 and they're now offering $950!  The IQD prices on ebay have gone up over 50% - over $150 per 100,000 dinar - since last month.  These things tell us a lot of people are really wanting dinar lately and the most likely reason is that they're getting wind the RV is about to happen.  🤞:praying: for this weekend!!

Oooh, Hopium, I like this part of the statement:

'The United States discussed providing economic advisors to work directly with the Government of Iraq to help advance international support for Iraq’s reform efforts, including from the international financial institutions in connection with firm plans to enact fundamental economic reforms.'

Does it make sense to have this event with the dinar valued as it is today? What's the point if the discussions and agreements have to be completely revised when the dinar goes international??

6-13-2020  *** Dinar Guru Update ***  Reports are coming in from Dinar Guru members that some large currency brokers are out of dinar stock.  I made a pass through several dealer sites - some are showing they have dinar for sale, some are showing they're out.  Buyer Beware - It appears some dealers are completing sales  without actually having the currency on hand.   Wait times for orders have been as long as four weeks.  Some of the delays are Corona related.  If you want your dinar right away be sure to confirm ship times with the dealer.  Last I heard Citi Bank was still selling dinar.  It seems there's been a disruption to the supply of dinar to the dealers...why?  We don't know.  Is it the auctions?  Is it the borders?  Is it a long-term issue?  Is supply drying up?  Stay tuned as the gurus chime in on what's happening with the dinar.  The latest guru reports will continue below...

Checked out some of those dealer sites, too, and saw a million dinar ranging from $950 circulated to $1400 uncirculated--that latter price is high!?  Looks like if you want some, though, you can still get them.  Some of those sites noted that the dinar is their highest selling currency (volume-wise).  They were dinar sites though!

It will certainly be interesting to hear if the supply is really drying up, though.
