The Purported New Leader Of ISIS Captured In Iraq

Recommended Posts

May 21, 2020 @ 7:28

Iraq’s National Intelligence Service announced on Thursday: “Today, the terrorists named Abdulnasser al-Qirdash, the candidate to succeed the criminal al-Baghdadi, was arrested. The arrest came after accurate intelligence.” A picture of the prisoner was attached. Qirdash is believed to have conducted the running of the terrorist group after Baghdadi killed himself to escape American capture. He may be the highest-ranking ISIS official to be caught and therefore a valuable source of intelligence on the estimated 14,000 to 18,000 members still active in Iraq and Syria and other parts of the world.

Cornered, IS chief Baghdadi blows himself up with 3 kids

Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the elusive leader of the dreaded Islamic State (IS) terror group, died like a coward, “whimpering and crying” in a US raid, American President Donald Trump said. Baghdadi, who was in his late 40s and carried a bounty of at least $25 million, presided over the brutal ‘Caliphate’ he had set up in Syria and Iraq.

The President said Baghdadi died “after running into a dead-end tunnel, whimpering and crying and screaming” and dragged his three children with him to certain death. “He reached the end of the tunnel, as our dogs chased him down. He ignited his vest, killing himself and the three children. His body was mutilated. The tunnel caved in on it.” Trump said test results carried out on the remains of the man who blew himself up in the tunnel “gave certain, immediate and totally positive identification” that it was Baghdadi. “It was a very quick call that took place about 15 minutes after he was killed.” — Agencies

HOW IT UNFOLDED

  • Special forces take off after 5 pm in Washington DC; copters fly for an hour & 10 minutes
  • During 2-hr on-ground op, forces target a compound outside a village in Idlib near Turkish border
  • Shooting from copters continues for 30 minutes; copters fire missiles at two houses, flattening one
  • Copters land and special forces blow holes in walls of a compound to avoid booby-trapped main door
  • Baghdadi runs into a dead-end tunnel, chased by dogs; he detonates his vest, killing himself & his 3 kids

Thank you Theseus! I never saw that before.
I’m guessing that maybe the detonation of the vest was accidental, going by the description of him running away and crying. Someone who would do that probably doesn’t have the stones to blow himself up.. He probably tripped and accidentally detonated. Either way, good riddance.

No he set off the vest intentionally as all reports indicate

Fyi - Theseus Did A Great Job Answering Ur Question ! ;)

But The MAIN REASON U Don’t Remembering It Happening Is Because The Leftest Media Buried The Story Even Though It Was Bigger Than The Killing Of Osama Bin Laden During The Administration Of Their Propaganda Hero Obama ! :o

The Left Also Went Completely Ballistic When Trump Honored The Hero Dog Named ‘Conan’ Who Was Injured By The Suicide Bomb Explosion After Chasing Baghdadi Down To The End Of A Tunnel !

And They Went ‘Ballistic’ Because Trump Merely Originally Suggested Honoring The Hero Dog With The Purple Heart While The Pursuing Soldiers Stood Safely Back Prior To The Explosion - Which The Cowardly ISIS Leader Detonated With Three Of His Children After Realizing That They Couldn’t Be Used As Hostages ! <_<

The military dog who helped U.S. special forces kill ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi last month was honored as a hero at the White House on Monday.

Conan, a Belgian Malinois military service dog, was honored in the Rose Garden by President Trump, who called the canine "incredible" and "brilliant." Vice President Pence and first lady Melania Trump also attended.

"Conan did a fantastic job and we're very honored to have Conan here and to have given Conan a certificate and an award," Trump said.

Conan helped the military special forces track al-Baghdadi down a tunnel during the raid in Syria, though the dog was injured during the mission. The dog has since made a full recovery.

"Having this extraordinary dog here today is all a reflection of our armed forces and the great job that they do. Conan is really a hero," said Pence, who petted the dog throughout Trump's brief remarks. "It's really a joy to be able to help welcome him here to the White House."

Conan was not accompanied with his usual handler for the event.

The Belgian Malinois resembles a German shepherd but is smaller and has shorter hair, making it an ideal choice to help aid missions and patrols in the hot Middle East.

"They're kind of the first line of defense," Ron Aiello, a retired Marine who runs the nonprofit U.S. War Dogs Association, told NPR last month. "Their job is to detect any type of danger that's out front."

Trump, who on Monday called Conan a "tough cookie," has previously praised the dog. He also tweeted out a photoshopped image of Conan receiving the Medal of Honor.
