Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi held, on Saturday, the first session of the Council of Ministers.

The cabinet approved, on Saturday, a set of decisions in its first session headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
A statement by the Office of the Prime Minister received / scales News / copy of it, that " the Council of Ministers held its first regular, headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Kazemi and the Cabinet approved the following resolutions:

 -
I / authorize the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance to launch the salaries of retirees.


Second / Repealing the previous Cabinet Resolution No. (97) for the year 2020 on the subject of stopping the financing, in addition to approving the draft of the Domestic and External Borrowing Law to finance the fiscal deficit for the year 2020 and referring it to the House of Representatives in accordance with the provisions of constitutional articles.


Third / The Ministry of Transport and Culture to renegotiate with hotel managers for the purpose of reducing room rates in hotels, and the food rests with the Ministry of Health to accommodate returnees from abroad for the purpose of booking them in those hotels.


Fourth / Requesting the House of Representatives to complete the vote on the new election law and send it to the Presidency of the Republic for the purpose of bringing it into effect after its publication in the Official Gazette.


Fifth: Providing logistical support and providing all the capabilities available to the Independent High Electoral Commission to enable it to hold elections after fixing their date.


Sixth: The ministries and entities not affiliated with the Ministry of Cooperation with the Independent High Electoral Commission by providing human staff to carry out the electoral process.


Seventh: Amending the Law of Parties so as to lead to the regulation of the legal status of parties ’work on democratic national foundations that guarantee political pluralism and democratic transformation.” Ended

Direct: The Iraqi Cabinet issued a number of decisions in its first regular session, headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi .

The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement today, Saturday, that the council discussed its working mechanisms, economic and health conditions, and issues prepared for its agenda.

 The Cabinet approved the following decisions:

First / empowering the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance to release the salaries of retirees .

Direct: Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi said Saturday evening: "Our government is transparent, not a government of dark rooms."

In a speech broadcast on Al-Arabiya television, the Iraqi Prime Minister announced orders to release the detainees from the Iraqi demonstrators, with the exception of those involved in the blood of the Iraqis.

Al-Kazimi confirmed that he will work to hold the negligent accountable, and the government will work to provide compensation to those affected by the repercussions of the spread of the Coruna virus.

Al-Kazimi said: "We will work towards holding transparent Iraqi elections."

Direct: Today, the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq directed all the courts that present cases to the demonstrators for their release .

In a statement, the council said that the directives come in line with the invitation of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi on May 9.

In his statement, the Supreme Judicial Council added that the investigative judges had previously directed the release of those arrested on the subject of the demonstration as demonstrations are a right guaranteed under Article 38 of the Constitution, provided that it is not accompanied by an act contrary to law against state institutions or against persons.

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, during the consultative meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security held on Saturday, ordered the release of detainees from the demonstrators in coordination with the judiciary except those involved in Iraqi blood.

Al-Kazemi’s directives included not tolerating kidnapping crimes, prosecuting the perpetrators and bringing them to justice, protecting peaceful protesters and preventing violence in all its forms.

Text of resolutions of the first meeting of the council of ministers

The Council of ministers held its first regular meeting, on Saturday 9 May 2020, under the presidency of the prime minister mustafa kazami.

At the beginning of the meeting, the prime minister welcomed the members of the government, calling for hard work in the service of their people.

The value of our work was to succeed in the difficult situation and turn the crisis into opportunity and hope.

On the subject of the elections, kazami stressed that it is a priority for this government to ensure safe and safe conditions for the holding of elections, and we are looking forward to the work of the independent high electoral commission and is a true partner of the government to reach fair and fair elections.

The Council of ministers discussed its working mechanisms, economic and health conditions and issues for its agenda.

The Council of ministers approved the following resolutions :-

Second / #cancellation of former cabinet decision no. Fourth / request the house of representatives to complete the vote on the new election law and send it to the presidency of the Republic for the purpose of its entry into force after its publication in the official newspaper.

V / provide logistics support and provide all the possibilities available to the independent high electoral commission to enable it to hold the elections after scheduled.

VI / Ministries and non-Ministry of cooperation with the independent high electoral commission by providing human support for the electoral process.

Seventh / Amendment of the law of parties to regulate the legal status of the work of the parties on Democratic National Foundations That ensure political diversity and democratic transformation.

Al-Kazimi added: We have decided to form a crisis cell of specialists in foreign affairs and international relations to conduct discussions with the American side on reviewing the strategic agreement between the two countries to protect the unity and sovereignty of Iraq.

On the conduct of the elections, Al-Kazimi said: "We have issued a decision to form a committee of experts to coordinate with the relevant authorities to overcome obstacles to conducting early, fair and fair elections."

Al-Kazemi continued: We also decided to return the hero brother, Lieutenant General Abdel-Wahab Al-Saadi, and to promote him as head of the anti-terrorism agency.
He pointed out that "the government will be transparent as we promised you, and it will not be a government of dark rooms and in every decision we make to serve the public interest."
