Today, Monday, a session is held to vote for the government of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi . And sources of the event reported that there is a semi-final agreement to pass his government.

At a time when the Sunni and Kurdish blocs, in addition to the Shiite blocs, pledged to attend and vote for the Al-Kazemi government, the State of Law bloc, the National Coalition, and the Sanad bloc announced their non-voting in favor of Al-Kazemi.

The event sources also added that the dispute over the Ministries of Interior and Defense had been resolved, as the team would take over Juma obstinacy of the defense portfolio, while the portfolio of the Ministry of Interior would belong to Lieutenant General Othman Al-Ghanmi.

The sources also said that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi directed the Ministry of Transport to provide flights to transport deputies from Basra, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah governorates to the capital, Baghdad, today.

It is expected that parliament will vote during its session tomorrow, Tuesday, on Al-Kazemi’s ministerial government, while some sources suggest that the session will be held next Wednesday.

It is noteworthy that Al-Kazemi is the third Prime Minister appointed since the resignation of Prime Minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, under pressure from the massive protests in December. The other two candidates withdrew on the pretext of political interference.

And Al-Kazemi has until May 9th to present his government squad.

Never quite ready to commit, are they ..

After all their years of foot-dragging, I’m honestly surprised the protesters haven’t burned the whole place down by now.

Would have to agree.

Member of the House of Representatives for the Hussein Arab will movement confirmed today, Monday, that the session of granting confidence to Mustafa Al-Kazemi Ministerial Cabinet will be held in the large hall for health protection.

Arab said in a press statement, "The venue of the session will be in the conference hall within Parliament, due to its large size and there will be a distance between each deputy and another for health protection."

Arabs seemed comfortable with the passing of the government with "the continuation of some problems, especially some ministries, whether in terms of being from the share of this or that party, or objecting to the personalities nominated for it," he said, "it is likely that these differences will be resolved because they are not completely fundamental."

Fadi al-Shammari, a member of the political bureau of the "wisdom" movement led by Ammar al-Hakim, announced on Monday that most Iraqi political forces have agreed to give confidence to the government of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kazemi.

Al-Shammari said in a statement today that "wisdom, conquest," "walking" and victory, and the alliance of Kurdish forces and parties will vote in favor of passing an independent government.

He added that "Iraq is on the brink of an abyss, and the formation of a new government with absolute powers and popular and political support is an urgent national necessity away from private moods and interest accounts."

The State of Law coalition, which has 26 seats in the Iraqi parliament, announced on Sunday not to vote on the Al-Kazemi government.

The National Coalition led by Iyad Allawi, who has nearly 20 seats, joined the law coalition to announce that he also does not vote on the government in the parliament session scheduled for this week.

Al-Kazemi needs half + 1 of the total number of parliament members to pass his government.

A new development for Al-Kazemi’s booth, after its use
of the “easy retreat”

The parliamentary bloc Al-Fateh revealed, on Monday, political negotiations to replace the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance between the Shiite component and the Kurdish, while stressing the resolution of candidates for the ministries of the Interior and Defense.

The MP said the opening of Fadel Fatlawi Twilight News, said that "political forces have agreed to resolve the internal candidates for the two ministries of defense and, to be received by the Interior 's first corner Othman Ghanimi and be the defense team corner Gomaa stubbornness".

He added that "there are negotiations and political talk to resolve the ministerial cabinet and replace the ministries of foreign affairs and finance between the Shiite and Kurdish components, provided that the Ministry of Finance for the Shiites in return for the Kurds to receive the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

Al-Fatlawi added that "political dialogues and negotiations regarding some candidates for ministerial portfolios are still ongoing and not resolved yet, stressing that "the last negotiations within 24 hours will resolve the ministerial cabinet and pass it in the parliament."

From his part , said MP Mohammad Baldawi, the Twilight News that "Prime Minister - designate Mustafa Kazemi, until the moment and negotiate with political forces, which declared its opposition to his government 's dialogue was not cut, and will not vote in favor (a coalition of state law and national coalition), but is to make there are open lines with These powers."

And Baldawi said, "The Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazimi works in a way (the easy plain), as he deals with political forces, on the principle that does not give them everything they want and does not cut off dialogue and negotiation with them."

Yesterday, Sunday, the National Coalition led by Iyad Allawi announced the non-voting of Mustafa Al-Kazemi’s government, as a special session is scheduled to be held this week.

The State of Law coalition led by Nuri al-Maliki announced - 26 seats as well as no voting for the Al-Kazemi government.

The National Alliance bloc has 21 seats officially, before it was exposed to splits, and its members joined other blocs.

For the government to obtain the confidence of Parliament, an absolute majority (50 1) is required for the number of members present not the total number to grant confidence, but its chances in light of the escalating opposition seem difficult.
