Finally, the adult in the room says no more money. The World Bank should have done this 2 loans ago because making the thieves richer doesn't help the Iraqi citizens. This bad news to the crooks of Iraq could be just the thing to force them to think of the citizens for once an do the right thing.

Thanks Mary B for the article......

The Iraqi Central Bank denied, on Tuesday, news circulated by the media about the World Bank’s apology for assisting Iraq in dealing with the emerging Corona virus.

"Some local media circulated news that the World Bank apologized for helping Iraq," he said. "This is not true for two reasons. The first is that there are long-term agreements with the World Bank and ongoing meetings with them."

He added, "The second reason the World Bank cannot leave Iraq is because it is one of the countries with a renewable financial environment."

No worries. Iraq said they have money for another 14  month.

If I'm not mistaken, that was the CBI talking about their reserves. We don't want GOI digging into CBI reserves, as this is what is used as a basis for monetary support (ie. the value of the dinar). The more reserves, the higher the IQD can be valued as the CBI reserves are kinda like a 'guarantee'. Besides, those GOI fools will just steal it. IMO.
