Governmental advisor: Budget restructuring is the only way to pass it

The appearance of Mohamed Saleh, the financial advisor to the resigned Prime Minister, Adel Abdel Mahdi, confirmed on Monday that the only solution to pass the budget is to restructure it, indicating that the deficit is not solved without sacrifices.

 

And the Iraqi News Agency quoted Saleh as saying, "Structuring the budget and returning it to the first square is the only solution to pass it," noting that the deficit is not solved except with a financial operation and needs sacrifices.

 

He added that "the House of Representatives has the task of reviewing the legislations issued from 2003 to today that have significant unchanging financial consequences.

 

"In the event that the budget is not restructured and no alternatives and other solutions are found, it is likely that it will not be approved this year, and current investments and expenditures will remain, and the reliance will be on the amount of revenue only," Saleh said.  

 

He continued that "the deficit exceeded fifty trillion dinars, and no compensation is required for him except for borrowing, and the country cannot bear other debts."

One of the guys in our wee IQD GROUP suggested we invade Iraq again, and this time install a “ better class of people “ who’s interests are more in keeping with the financial success of Iraq rather than the financial success of corrupt politicians bank accounts and laundering $$$$$ to Iran. 

Hindsight is always 20/20, huh.
