Stupid people who are making this worse than it is. Panicking people and causing undue stress. Over reacting before all the facts are in.

I know a few sick people and it's like the end of the world... Just like a couple of bad banks and they crashed the markets... This is how after huge run ups in stocks, the big boys take the money... Just think in the last couple of weeks how many people are down in their 401Ks... Remember for every sell there is a buy... A few weeks ago big money was selling... Now little people are freaking out and trying to save their money buy selling, guess who's buying? Yup.... Rinse Wash Repeat...

‘Jeopardy’ & ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ To Film Without Audience Over Coronavirus Concerns

In what may be precursor to things to come in the TV industry as the U.S. is trying to contain the rapidly growing coronavirus outbreak, game shows Jeopardy! and Wheel Of Fortune will tape episodes without studio audiences for the foreseeable future, Deadline has confirmed.

Distributed bu Sony Pictures Television, the long-running syndicated game show film on the Sony lot in Culver City. The news of the temporary elimination of studio audience, first reported by TMZ, comes as Jeopardy host Alex Trebek continues his duties on the program while battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Also factoring into the decision is the fact that the game shows’ audiences are generally older and come from out of town. The CDC recently advised people over 60 and those with underlying health problems to strongly consider avoiding activities that involve large crowds and going on long flights.

This was sent to me by a friend.  I thought I would share it with the board.  From a medical point of view she is spot on.  It is a bit sobering and a bit terrifying.  This is why the markets are reacting.   P.S. My heart aches for Italy.

From a American lady in Bergamo:
“Some friendly info for my fellow Americans. The news media in the US  has not captured the severity of what is happening here. I am passing  this on because each of you, today, not  the government, not the school district, not the mayor, each individual  citizen has the chance, today to take actions that will deter the  Italian situation from becoming your own country’s reality. The only way  to stop this virus is to limit contagion. And the only way to limit  contagion is for millions of people to change their behavior today.

If you are in Europe or the US you are weeks away from where we are today in Italy.

I can hear you now. “It’s just a flu. It only affects old people with  preconditions” or what the American President is saying that a week ago  he was expecting it to go to zero.

There are 2 reasons why  Coronavirus has brought Italy to it’s knees. First it is a flu is  devastating when people get really sick they need weeks of ICU – and,  second, because of how fast and effectively it spreads. There is 2 week  incubation period and many who have it never show symptoms.

When  Prime Minister Conte announced last night that the entire country, 60  million people, would go on lock down, the line that struck most was  “there is no more time.” Because to be clear, this national lock down,  is a hail mary. What he means is that if the numbers of contagion do not  start to go down, the system, Italy, will collapse.

Why? Today  the ICUs in Lombardy are at capacity – more than capacity. They have  begun to put ICU units in the hallways. If the numbers do not go down,  the growth rate of contagion tells us that there will be thousands of  people who in a matter of a week? two weeks? who will need care. What  will happen when there are 100, or a 1000 people who need the hospital  and only a few ICU places left?

On Monday a doctor wrote in the  paper that they have begun to have to decide who lives and who dies when  the patients show up in the emergency room, like what is done in war.  This will only get worse.  Read this again.

There are a finite  number of drs, nurses, medical staff and they are getting the virus.  They have also been working non-stop, non-stop for days and days. What  happens when the drs, nurses and medical staff are simply not able to  care for the patients, when they are not there?

And finally for  those who say that this is just something that happens to old people,  starting yesterday the hospitals are reporting that younger and younger  patients – 40, 45, 18, are coming in for treatment.

You have a  chance to make a difference and stop the spread in your country. Push  for the entire office to work at home today, cancel birthday parties,  and other gatherings, stay home as much as you can. If you have a fever,  any fever, stay home. Push for school closures, now. Anything you can  do to stop the spread, because it is spreading in your communities –  there is a two week incubation period – and if you do these things now  you can buy your medical system time.

And for those who say it is  not possible to close the schools, and do all these other things,  locking down Italy was beyond anyone’s imagination a week ago.

Soon you will not have a choice, so do what you can now.

End Quote

Right now Bergamo is one of the worst areas in the worst-struck region (Lombardy)...

I fully agree with what she states....Infact lockdown was applied to the whole country...But kind of late honestly....

Let's hope

Right now  the number of the affected by CV is 8,500

There have been ( so far) 631 deaths

Can you still get readily available supplies?

Ive always been a prepper and could hunker down for a few months easily.

Its always been for an earthquake. Not worried about the virus. More worried about unprepared people and FEMA lines.

Masrour Barzani sends an urgent invitation: Fears of citizens losing their lives are on an alarming rise
2021-03-29 06:23   Shafaq News / The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani said, on Monday, that the rapid rise in Corona virus infections in the region is a matter of concern.
Barzani wrote a tweet on his Twitter account, "It is not the time for politics now, as the health sector in the Kurdistan Region is facing a difficult test, fears of citizens losing their lives have risen and the gains we have gained from the health measures that we have taken are at risk."
He said, "The rapid rise in injuries is a matter of concern, and in these sensitive situations, I call on the governors in the four provinces of the region to shoulder their responsibilities in protecting the lives of people and to take all measures that would protect the safety of citizens."
Earlier today, the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region issued a warning about an outbreak of the virus, after yesterday, Monday, nearly a thousand cases were recorded, which is the highest toll this year in the four governorates of the region.
Since the outbreak of the virus in the region, 119,480 people have been infected, 108,483 people have recovered, and 3,643 others have died, as of Sunday.

Let's start with some POSITIVE Recovery Stories.

But WAIT, let's FIRST lookie HERE at the CDC "statwistics".

      Summary
What is already known about this topic?
Early data from China suggest that a majority of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) deaths have occurred among adults aged ≥60 years and among persons with serious underlying health conditions.
What is added by this report?
This first preliminary description of outcomes among patients with COVID-19 in the United States indicates that fatality was highest in persons aged ≥85, ranging from 10% to 27%, followed by 3% to 11% among persons aged 65–84 years, 1% to 3% among persons aged 55-64 years, <1% among persons aged 20–54 years, and no fatalities among persons aged ≤19 years.
What are the implications for public health practice?
COVID-19 can result in severe disease, including hospitalization, admission to an intensive care unit, and death, especially among older adults. Everyone can take actions, such as social distancing, to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect older adults from severe illness.

So, OK, the 85+ yr olds are MOST vulnerable AND those having PREEXISTING CONDITIONS.

Well, LOOKIE HERE. A 95 yr old WWII Vet WITH multiple preexisting conditions. Did HE, pray tell, "expire"???!!!

      Obviously NOT!!!:

      https://www.foxnews.com/media/95-year-old-wwii-veteran-survives-coronavirus

But WAIT, UNIMAGINABLY there is one BETTER YET!!!

A 104 yr old WWII Vet. Did HE, pray tell, "expire"???!!!

      Obviously, NOT!!!:

      https://fox8.com/news/coronavirus/104-year-old-wwii-veteran-recovers-from-covid-19-celebrates-birthday/

So, WHAT, pray tell, ABOUT THEE 2019-2020 "flu"???!!!

2019-2020 U.S. Flu Season: Preliminary Burden Estimates
Other Languages CDC estimates* that, from October 1, 2019, through March 28, 2020, there have been:
      39,000,000 – 55,000,000
      flu illnesses
      18,000,000 – 26,000,000
      flu medical visits
      400,000 – 730,000
      flu hospitalizations
      24,000 – 63,000
      flu deaths
*Because influenza surveillance does not capture all cases of flu that occur in the U.S., CDC provides these estimated ranges to better reflect the larger burden of influenza. These estimates are calculated based on CDC’s weekly influenza surveillance data and are preliminary.
**Influenza testing across the United States may be higher than normal at this time of year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. These estimates may partly reflect increases in testing in recent weeks and may be adjusted downward once the season is complete and final data for the 2019/20 season are available.

      https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htm

      WOWZERS!!!

WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE FROM THE FLU NOT COVID-19!!!

      AND THEE COVID-19 Hysteria Continues.

Of COURSE, A BIG Thank You to ALL the Libtards AND THEIR "weaponized" Snowflake And Buttercup Idiot Brigade Volunteer Forces!!!

      Hey, Lookie HERE:

COVID-19 cases in the United States by date of illness onset, January 12, 2020, to April 2, 2020, at 4pm ET (n=63,995)*
      * Does not include cases among persons repatriated to the United States from Wuhan, China and Japan, or U.S.-identified cases where the date of illness onset or specimen collection date has not yet been reported. Date is calculated as illness onset date if known. If not, an estimated illness onset date was calculated using specimen collection date.
Note: On March 24, CDC updated the data included in this figure to include estimated illness onset date.
Cases of COVID-19 Reported in the US, by Source of Exposure*† Cases of COVID-19 Reported in the US, by Source of Exposure Travel-related 1,388 Close contact 4,325 Under investigation 233,566 Total cases 239,279 * Data include both confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 reported to CDC or tested at CDC since January 21, 2020, with the exception of testing results for persons repatriated to the United States from Wuhan, China and Japan. State and local public health departments are now testing and publicly reporting their cases. In the event of a discrepancy between CDC cases and cases reported by state and local public health officials, data reported by states should be considered the most up to date.
† CDC is no longer reporting the number of persons under investigation (PUIs) that have been tested, as well as PUIs that have tested negative. Now that states are testing and reporting their own results, CDC’s numbers are not representative of all testing being done nationwide.

      https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html

For 20Mar2020 - 23Mar2020, THE SOLID STATISTICS SHOW THE RATE OF CONTRACTION OF COVID-19 IS GOING DOWN, DOWN, DOWN!!!

Sure, 24Mar2020 until NOW has to be updated.

The trend, HOWEVER, favors a turn for the BETTER!!!

What an IDIOCY STORM SO LET"S LOCK EVERYBODY DOWN FOR VIRTUALLY NOTHING!!!

BUT, HEY, THE LIBTARDS WILL TELL YOU:

WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE FROM COVID-19 SO DROP YER SHOTS 'CAUSE WE'RE GONNA PUT THE CURE, ER, VACCINATION, ER, PROBLEM SOLVER, ER, WHATEVER, RIGHT WHERE WE WANT TO AND YOU BETTER THANK US FOR IT!!!
