It's funny how when these monetary policies are implemented, those who are knowledgeable say "That makes sense" or "This was necessary before an RV/RI can happen" while Gurus who predict an RV daily or monthly have never mentioned them until they're news.

 

It's like "Oh hey Guru Z, you're saying the recent oil deal between the Kurds and Baghdad now make the RV possible? Why didn't you say that back in July when you told 10,000 people the RV was happening the next day?"

Sterilization

A method by which a central bank may affect the value of the domestic currency relative to a foreign currency. To weaken the domestic currency, sterilization involves selling the domestic currency on the forex market and buying the foreign currency. This increases the supply of the domestic currency, while reducing the supply of the foreign. To strengthen the domestic currency, sterilization involves the opposite. A central bank usually conducts sterilization to counteract adverse changes to the domestic currency in foreign exchange markets.

A member of the Iraqi Economic Council, Ghadeer Al-Attar, called on Wednesday to start precautionary measures on the Iraqi and foreign currency to prevent the transmission of the "Corona" virus.

"The People's Bank of China subjected sterilization and quarantine banknotes to fight the Corona virus, " Al-Attar said in an interview with Alsumaria News .

 

Al-Attar indicated that "the Central Bank of Iraq and the Iraqi banks should work using ultraviolet radiation or very high temperatures to sterilize banknotes, before isolating them for a period ranging between 7 and 14 days to prevent the spread of the Corona virus through banknotes."

 

He called "the relevant authorities to preserve the safety and health of users of cash flow in Iraq ."

Same economic method? Right now what I know is that the two countries are mostly concern on this virus...and one way to stop it is thru sterilization of bank notes because that is one of the biggest source to catch it
