The audio file was part of the evidence that was given to Ukrainian experts as part of the joint investigative team’s examination of the crash. “The technical investigation team of the Ukrainian airline crash, in a strange move, published the secret audio file of the communications of a pilot of a plane that was flying at the same time as the Ukrainian plane,” Hassan Rezaifar said, according to the semi-official Mehr news agency. “This action by the Ukrainians led to us not sharing any more evidence with them.” https://www.arabnews.com/node/1622186/middle-east 1
Butifldrm
Iran says Canada’s complaint over Ukrainian plane crash lacks legal basis Many of the 176 who perished in the disaster were Iranians with dual citizenship. (File/AFP) Short Url https://arab.news/544ub Updated 6 sec ago REUTERS February 11, 202010:10 52 Iran’s FM said their country acted based on international rules Many of the 176 who perished in the disaster were Iranians with dual citizenship DUBAI: Canada’s complaint about a Ukrainian passenger plane that was mistakenly shot down by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards in January has no legal basis, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Tuesday, according to Iranian media reports. “Iran’s actions are based on international rules,” Zarif said, according to the Khabaronline website. Iran has rejected Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s call to send the “black box” flight recorders from the plane abroad to be decoded. Many of the 176 who perished in the disaster were Iranians with dual citizenship, which is not recognized by Iran. Canada had 57 citizens on board. Canadian lawyers, who previously successfully sued Iran, are seeking class action status in a lawsuit on behalf of victims aboard the plane, looking for at least $1.1 billion in compensation. https://www.arabnews.com/node/1626231/middle-east 1
