CNN Reporter Informs Iranian Protesters They're Supposed To Be Shouting 'Death To America'

article-5404-2.jpg

TEHRAN—As Iranians protested their government's downing of a passenger jet, a frantic CNN reporter ran through the crowd lecturing them on how they were actually supposed to be shouting "Death to America!"

The CNN reporter arrived at the protests, excited to cover another anti-US protest but quickly realized they were actually shouting "Death to the dictator!" and blaming their government for shooting down the plane.

"Guys, you're ruining the narrative!" he cried through a megaphone. "We can't run with this! You're willing to assign blame to Iran more readily than the media and the Democrats were! This isn't good for our viewership! Are you guys in league with Fox News?"

"Please guys, please shout 'death to America,' just for a few minutes so I can get some B-roll!"

His efforts weren't having any effect, so the reporter began trying to start up the chants himself. "Come on, people! Death to America! Death to America! When I say 'Death to,' you say, 'America!' Death to!" A shoe was thrown in his direction, though, and he scattered, fearing for his life.

Iraq hopes for a new waiver of US sanctions ... and electricity implement a plan to dispense with Iranian gas

The Ministry of Electricity said on Tuesday that it hopes to extend the exemption to Iraq from the US sanctions imposed on Iran, pointing out that it is implementing a plan in preparation for dispensing Iranian gas.

The ministry spokesman, Ahmed Al-Abadi, said that "Iraq is now exempt from the US sanctions imposed on Iran with regard to electrical energy and gas supplies, especially as Iraq pays the Iranian side in Iraqi dinars."

He added, "The exemption lasts for four months, and it is hoped that it will be extended after that, due to Iraq’s urgent need for electricity, and that the ministry imports gas from the Iranian side, in addition to 1200 MW of electrical energy."

And, "The ministry is going to implement the three-year fuel plan, in coordination with the oil ministry, so that the need for Iranian gas will be eliminated."

Three year fuel plan?

And, "The ministry is going to implement the three-year fuel plan, in coordination with the oil ministry, so that the need for Iranian gas will be eliminated."

If it rolls out like the rest of their plans they'll be needing Iranian gas till the camels come home.

More like a "Fool's Plan" not a fuel plan.

Washington decides to create a "new security fence" in central Mosul: part of our commitment to Iraq

fit

The US embassy in Iraq announced, on Wednesday, the creation of a "new security fence" in central Mosul, considering this step as "part" of Washington's obligations towards Iraq.

"The US State Department is working in cooperation with the University of Pennsylvania, the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage, and the Nineveh Department of Archeology to protect the site of the Prophet Yunus tomb in Mosul," the embassy said in a statement.

He added, “The grave has been subject to illegal excavations since it was largely destroyed by ISIS in 2014, and the new security fence, which will be guarded by guards from the area’s residents, will surround the site, to protect it from attacks by residents and illegal excavations, until it is completed. Create a more detailed plan to protect it. ”

The statement continued, "This project is part of the commitment of the United States to work with Iraq, to protect and preserve its valuable national and international heritage."

It is noteworthy that ISIS demolished and bombed the Prophet Yunus Mosque in Mosul on July 24, 2014.

The mandate allowed America to intervene in Iraq in 2003

January 30, 2020

On Thursday, the US House of Representatives votes on a bill that would end the mandate to use force in Iraq, which was passed in 2002 to give the legislative mandate to the United States to launch the Iraq war in 2003

In his Twitter tweet, US President Donald Trump urged members of the House of Representatives to "vote with their hearts" on that legislation, adding that the United States is reducing its presence in Iraq until the number of its soldiers there has reached only five thousand

On the other hand, Trump threatened that he would use the veto against any legislation supported by the Democrats that would restrict his military options against Iran

In separate statements to the White House, sources said that the president may veto both decisions related to ending the 2002 law on the use of force in Iraq and the law restricting military options against Iran

The decision to use force in Iraq gives the president broad powers and freedom to act in response to any threats inside Iraq and the threats that Iran makes against the United States and its allies in the region through its hubs in Iraq

The US administration had justified the beginning of this month of its use of a drone to target Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis in Baghdad as coming within the mandate approved in 2002 and confirmed that canceling that mandate will "strengthen the enemies" of the United States

Legal expert Ali al-Tamimi: the international condemnation of excessive violence in the country ... the beginning of international sanctions and trusteeship

810171-dc826f6d-ac76-42ef-8192-790c51f15

Baghdad /  Nina / Legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi stressed that the condemnation by 16 countries of excessive violence against demonstrators is a gradual start to international sanctions.

He told the Iraqi National News Agency ( NINA ): With 3 permanent member states on the UN Security Council and others in the European Union from all continents, this is a pressing matter for the United Nations to raise the matter to the UN Security Council.

Al-Tamimi added that the violence violates Articles 2 and 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 22 of the International Covenant Charter signed by Iraq.

He explained that continuing this repression, especially after being condemned by Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Iraq, exposes Iraq to the sanctions stipulated in Articles 39 to 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, which begin with an ultimatum and end with the international trusteeship.

Al-Tamimi indicated that these crimes do not fall under the statute of limitations and do not relieve the chiefs from criminal responsibility in accordance with articles 48 of the Penal Code, 24 of the Military Penal Code and 52 of the Internal Security Forces law .. and they do not fall out of statute of limitations or the lapse of time according to Article 28 of the International Criminal Court Law.

These crimes are considered genocide in accordance with the 1948 Genocide Prevention Agreement signed by Iraq, in addition to which the assault on embassies is added in accordance with the 1961 diplomatic relations and embassy protection agreement. / End 3
