DinarThug
LINK Support: An important dialogue tonight about the candidate for prime minister and its results in two days 1/23/2020 9:25 PM (last night) The representative of the Parliamentary Bloc, Hassan Faddem, revealed an important dialogue tonight held by the political blocs on the candidate for the next prime minister. He said support (for Furat News) that "there is no discount for a candidate for prime minister agreed upon by the political blocs," revealing "the existence of a large and important dialogue to be held this evening that will lead to its results during the next two days." "There is a convergence of views and insistence among the various political blocs on the need to expedite the nomination of the candidate for prime minister," he stressed. He pointed out support that "the issue of the largest bloc ended in the first session held by the House of Representatives, but the Iraqi prime minister is supposed to represent all Iraqis without exception and that it is nationally and popularly acceptable, and paves the way for early elections and meets the demands of the demonstrators and is not controversial." Parliamentary sources reported that the understandings between the political blocs led to an agreement described as "principled" to resolve the position of the next prime minister, and to choose a consensual figure acceptable from the street and the religious reference, and that the next few days will witness a solution to the crisis of choosing the next prime minister according to specifications that the people accept and reference. 1

They're in stage 4 of terminal illness. If you're Saleh, who should you fear more: Your own population or the militias in the crosshairs of American drones? Is now the time to choose the partner who connects you with China, Europe, and NASDAQ, or the side whose threats on your life become more impotent with each passing week? DinarThug
LINK Al-Fateh: The nomination of the Prime Minister will be decided this evening or tomorrow morning 16:26 - 25/01/2020 The Al-Fateh coalition announced, on Saturday, that the candidate for prime minister will be announced this evening or tomorrow morning, indicating that the number of demonstrations is decreasing after achieving most of its demands. “Most of the demands of the demonstrators were fulfilled in the matter of the election law and a new independent commission, and their contracts and others were abrogated, which led to a decline in the number of demonstrators in the squares,” said the deputy from Al-Fath Fadhel Jaber. He added that "the last important joint is the naming of the prime minister from a non-dialectical figure that eliminates the tension that exists between the demonstrators and the government and contains them, which is the most important point for them." He explained that "the president of the republic will announce the name of the candidate to form the government this evening or Sunday morning, in response to the demands of the demonstrators and the demands of the religious authority in Najaf."
DinarThug
LINK A deputy from "Saeron" talks about agreeing to a "surprising" candidate for prime minister 25th January, 2020 The "Saeron" coalition led by Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr revealed "a candidate for prime minister has been decided by consensus between the political blocs and the president of the republic," according to the coalition's deputy, Bader Al-Ziyadi, who spoke Saturday to the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA). When the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, returned from his visit to Italy on Saturday, the deputy said, "During the current week, he will assign a new personality and it will be surprising to everyone and far from all the figures presented in the media." He explained that the new character "will be independent and accepted by everyone, and there is agreement and agreement between the political blocs on that personality." And Iraqi political parties are running marathon negotiations with the aim of naming a prime minister instead of resigning Adel Abdul Mahdi, without reaching an agreement yet. During the past weeks, some names have been proposed, including the governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, Qusay al-Suhail, and Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, but the protesters announced their rejection of these names as they are linked to the Iranian agenda. The protesters gave the political blocs a deadline that expired last Monday to present an independent candidate. 1

I feel like they're following a script and a timeline that was written long ago, or maybe right after Suleimani was whacked. There are no surprises. The reactions of each faction is so predictable every time they announce a candidate, they seem to have no purpose other than to stall. They know where this is going to end up, but they apparently have to stick to a timeline.
