Let Mulvaney, Bolton, Pompeo and the rest of Trump's handlers testify to exonerate him and end this fiasco once and for all......I'm stunned he's not demanding they testify on his behalf, in fact.  Innocent men have nothing to hide.  Easy peasy.

What you say here is true.....and why the impeachment process is flawed....Congress has tainted the Trump Presidency forever.....as well as themselves......on a purely partisan effort......Pelosi will have done real damage to the World of Women's leadership in Government.......

 

The 2 articles do not meet the constitutional standard for impeachment.....Schiffs own report.....page 59.....will clear Trump of any wrong doing on article 1.......and of course article 2 is based on article 1.

 

Pelosi's whole approach on this has been mind boggling....

 

Seems this will disrupt the entire primary cycle....keeping Senators.......basically sequestered juriors......from campaigning........of course Biden may benefit with socialists Warren and Sanders out of the mix.....but then who knows.....perhaps that was the plan all along by waiting 5 weeks to deliver the 2 articles to the Senate....

 

I do hope witnesses come into play........regarding Ukraine the Bidens, Kerry's and Pelosi's have a great more to fear than Trump........once that can of worms gets opened.    JMO

All good points, CL.....However, I'm of the belief that Pelosi is simply holding onto the Articles of Impeachment to ensure the senate trial is not completed before the State of the Union address, therefore denying Trump the opportunity of using the SOTU as a celebration of himself.  As always, just my opinion.

Never said it was logical, or even right.....This is congress we're talking about, Pelosi wants more, McConnell wants no trial all....So, realistic seems like a more accurate description of my previous statement.  As far as Trump looking bad, he's proven himself capable of handling that on his own.

Not sure any of us should really need a "constitutional scholar " to define this for us....

 

The Constitution limits 

grounds of impeachment to "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors". 

 

of these 4 offenses.....looking at the 2 articles Pelosi settled on.......which of these 4 ......do the 2 Articles fall under?       CL
