The Iranian regime's end just got a lot closer.

When they eventually don't have money to pay Quds soldiers, the soldiers would then serve out of loyalty.

But now the #1 figure they were loyal to is dead. There will be a lot more deserters when the paychecks start bouncing.

US citizens urged to depart Iraq after airstrike kills Iranian commander

CNN)The State Department urged US citizens Friday to leave Iraq immediately following an airstrike ordered by President Donald Trump that killed Qasem Soleimani, a key Iranian military commander at Baghdad International Airport.

"Due to heightened tensions in Iraq and the region, we urge U.S. citizens to depart Iraq immediately," the State Department tweeted.
They also warned that citizens "should not approach" the embassy in Baghdad and that all consular operations are suspended "due to Iranian-backed militia attacks at the U.S. Embassy compound." The Green Zone in Baghdad, which includes the US Embassy, was completely locked down by Iraqi security forces to prevent any emergency following the strike, two Iraqi security sources told CNN.
The State Department's announcement comes hours after Trump ordered the airstrike that killed Soleimani, who was the head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force unit and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iran-backed Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).

The killing of the top military leader marks a major escalation in tensions pitting Tehran against the US and Washington's Gulf Arab allies in the region.

The mentor appointed him a successor to Soleimani .. Who is Ismail Qani?

January 03, 2020

Ismail Qani

On Friday, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, announced the appointment of Ismail Qani, head of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, to succeed Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a US raid Thursday.

Khamenei said in a statement posted on his official website after the killing of Soleimani: "The post of the leadership of the Quds Force in the Guard of the Islamic Revolution was transmitted to the commander, Brigadier Ismail Qani."

The statement stated that Qani was one of the most prominent leaders of the Revolutionary Guards in the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s, indicating that he was on the side of Soleimani in the region.

Khamenei stressed that there was no change in the "plans" that were under Soleimani, calling on "Quds Corps personnel" to cooperate with the new leader.

According to some reports attributed to Iranian dissidents, Qani was born in Bunjord, northern Khorasan Province in 1957.

Qani was included in several positions within the Revolutionary Guards, including assuming command of operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan and other positions, until he was appointed a deputy to Soleimani in the "Quds Force".

He is known for his strong opposition to Israel like his predecessor, and was also implicated in interfering in favor of the Assad regime in the Syrian civil war.

Iranian media quoted statements in February that he said that the United States spent six trillion dollars on wars in the Middle East, but that "it did not succeed" and that "the conspiracies and plots of the enemies since the beginning of the revolution until now have been thwarted."

Hezbollah Brigades: The airport operation will be the beginning of the end for the American presence in Iraq

Baghdad / Obelisk: The Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq confirmed, Friday January 3, 2020, that the assassination of the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Qassem Soleimani, and the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Organization, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, marked the beginning of the end of the American presence in Iraq.

The brigades said in a statement, "Killing is a habit for us and our dignity is from God, martyrdom, and here we offer the greatest offerings on the path of the same fork. At the hands of the lesser of manners and the dirtiest ways of treachery, unaware that we will become a thousand Soleimani and a thousand Abu Mahdi. "

The statement added, "This crime committed by the first state of terrorism in the world, put Iraq, the region and the world in front of a dangerous turning point, may push its repercussions into a war towards a war that does not remain and does not excuse, and there is no doubt that its dire consequences will be borne by America, the Zionist entity and the kingdoms of evil and criminality who will pay the high price. ".

And he added: "America has proven once again that it does not deal with Iraq as an independent state, but rather a military base from which it proceeds to insult the dignity of its people and control its capabilities and domination. What happened after the crimes of Al-Qaim and the airport confirms that it imposed a new occupation and a bloody coup against Iraq, which puts the political forces Iraq is at stake, either surrender and complete submission to tampering with the country's quantities, or an honorable pause calling on it to leave even without legislation in the House of Representatives. "

The statement concluded that "this crime will be the beginning of the end for the American presence in Iraq and the region, and a covenant from us; the price of this crime will not be less than removing their thrones from Iraq and the region."
