Baghdad / Obelisk: Nada Shaker Jawdat, a deputy for the victory coalition, called on the Iraqi government to disclose the internal authorities who are conducting the bombing of military sites, for fear of entering the country into international problems.

New video shows two missiles fired at the Ukrainian plane

The New York Times has published a new video clip showing the Ukrainian plane hitting two missiles before crashing over the Iranian capital, Tehran, days after the Iranian authorities admitted the plane was shot down.

The missiles were launched from an Iranian military base eight miles from the plane, according to the newspaper.

The new video solves the mystery that the plane's signal transmitter stopped for seconds before being hit by a second missile.

The first missile hit the transmitter on the plane, stopping it for seconds, before the second missile blasted off and caused the plane to explode.

Days after the denial, the Iranian authorities admitted that the Ukrainian plane had been shot down that the accident had caused the accident.

176 people on board were killed, the majority of whom were Iranians and Canadians.

The authorities' announcement sparked shock in Iran and a wave of denunciations. And a ceremony honoring the victims at Tehran University turned Saturday into an anti-authorities demonstration, in which protesters chanted "Death to liars", before the police dispersed them.

On Sunday evening, Tehran also witnessed angry demonstrations, according to videos posted on social media and it is not possible to verify its authenticity until now.

Missile strike in Iraq hits base with 200 British personnel

PRC_120561539

A US army base in Iraq which was targeted in a missile strike last night is also where 200 British personnel are based.

No group has as of yet claimed responsibility for the Katyusha rocket attack on Camp Taji, north of Baghdad. Unlike the ballistic missiles which Iran fired at two US base in Iraq last week, the Soviet made Katyusha rockets have a shorter range and were described as a ‘smaller attack’, according to a coalition military spokesman. No casualties have been reported.

Colonel Myles Caggins III tweeted: ‘No Coalition troops were affected by this small attack at Taji Base.’ It comes after a similar attack on a US base on Sunday night, in which four members of the Iraqi military were wounded in the eight-missile strike on Balad air base, which is 50 miles north of Baghdad.
