KIM CLEMENT ADMITS HE IS A FALSE PROPHET

Recently a ‘prophet’ was exposed by DTW as being false – Ivin from 220Generation prophecied on the 20th Jan 2009 saying that God spoke to him through a thunderstorm.  God told Ivin that 5 atrocities have occurred or will occur within the next couple of months and be shown on the news, and will shock South Africa half to death and bring the fear of the Lord back to the people of this country.  These things have not come to pass by a long shot.

  • 2 months later...

So I came upon the below video about Kim Clement and QAnon and I was looking for thread to attach it to and found this one.  I didn't see this thread when it was originally posted 2 monthss ago so I read it just now. The reply titled  KIM CLEMENT ADMITS HE IS A FALSE PROPHET really caught my eye.  So I clicked on the link (did anyone else bother to do that?!).  Turns out, KIM CLEMENT DID NOT "ADMIT HE IS A FALSE PROPHET"!!   What the article said was, and I am copying and pasting the relevant part in its entirety,  Kim, are you ever wrong?” Yes I am.  From that, the author concluded Kim admitted to being a false prophet.  That's totally not righ!!   Kim merely said hew was wrong sometimesand that's not the same as admitting he's a "false prophet"!!!  This reminds of how the MSM twists and misquotes things about Trump.  They take something and then twist it into meaning something else.

I'll point out that the purpose of prophesy is to warn people about what is coming so that they can prepare for it, and in many cases avoid it.  Often the prophesy is about something bad that will happen, but when advance warning is given, it allows people the chance to change their behavior and avert it.  Think of people who get a premonition that they will die in a plane crash so can't bring themself to get on a scheduled flight.  The airplane crashes, but the person heeded the warning of that premonition and didn't die.  Is it fair to say that person's premonition is false because that person didn't die?  Of course not!!  When you think about it, the best prophesies end up not coming true becaue the prophesy did exactly what it was intended to do:  forewarn people that the path they are on will lead to a bad outcome so they can make different choices and not continue down that path.  The author of that article who tried to claim Kim admits he's a false prophet was wrong to to say because a person's prophesy does not happen, it means the person is a "false prophet".  And shame on him for for using the term "false prophet" because that is such an emotionally charged term for Christians - it implies he's in league with the devil.

Now, back to Kim and QAnon.  So because of what I just said, I don't give a lot of creedence to prophecies.  And frankly, Kim's flamboyance puts me off.  But I know a lot of people here are fans of him and I know they are much more well versed with him than I am, so I respect their opinions and cut Kim some slack.  Today I watched this video and it does seem like Kim might have been talking about QAnon.  Plus, he mentions some other things, like highly embarrasing moments for many politicians, and the upcoming elections (then the 2016 elections) that will shake the Democrats and unsettle the Republicans.  That happened; the Democrates went crazy and factured into far left socialists and moderate liberals, and many Republicans hated Trump until the just last year or so.

For anyone who's willing to dismiss the unfair claim that Kim admitted he's a "false prophet", it's a good listen.

I would also add if someone gives you a prophetic word, which doesn't come to pass, it may mean the person to whom the word is given is not walking the path the Lord has set out for them.  So naturally if you aren't walking and listening to God, it won't come to pass.

Exposing someone's doings is not the same as that person admitting to their doings. No where in the article does Kim Clement, in his own words, admit to being a false prophet. On the contrary their is a lot of quotes that explain to the reader how to discover a self-acclaimed prophet is a false one. The headline is misleading to say the least and no proof that Clements is a false prophet or has admitted to being a false prophet. Other than the usual tripe  At one time even most of the followes of Jesus claimed he was a false Messiah. And that was for good reason as there were a spat of false prophets at the time of Jesus. All were shown to be false through their actions and deeds, including the one who used Khadija's nakedness to prove he was a messenger and prophet from the words of the Angel of Light, aka Shaitan. Notice here I do not claim he is or is not a prophet but merely this story's headline is misleading as what is claimed by the headline is false.

A real prophet could be considered Nostrodamus, Jean Dixon or Baba Vanga and many others. As the Bible points out dozens of prophets from before the time of the New Testament but we hear of very few after the crucifixion.

A note on prophets and Trump though, there seems to be an uptick of Trump being re-elected in 2020 with a caveat that a dire health issue will befall him in his second term. Baba Vanga was the first to say Trump would not finish his Presidency. Other sources have said brain tumor or Trump entering into a coma or something else around his second year of his second term. Clements is a false prophet? Remains to be seen. Did he admit to being a false prophet, no.

I would imagine most on this site who are so interested in Kim Clement now will have no thought of him after the RV.  Those of us who valued the gift that he was will continue to monitor the fulfillments of prophecies as they come.  We also will follow those who most here have never heard of (just as you had no clue of Kim before his prophecies about the dinar).  You want to know what God is saying through His prophets today?  Value the gift that they are.

And you have never heard of Jean Dixon or more likely, Baba Venga until I brought here prophecies here. There is a lot prophecies I do not know about. But I did say it doesn't matter whether Clement is or is not a prohet in the context of this article in this thread. It is a misleading title as Clement does not utter the admission. The article instead tries to show through the usual tripe that they have "exposed" yet another false prophet. Again whether he is or is not remains to be seen as his prophecy has not reached that time in which the prophecy would either become true or not true. Jean Dixon predicted the downfall of the USA. She also predicted JFK's assassination. We can only look back upon a prophecy to determine whether it is true. Jean Dixon went so far as to try to contact JFK. Nostrafamus has been correct more often than not for those Quatrains that we have been able to decode. There could be others. So does this make Clement a false prophet? I don't know, you don't know until the time of the prophecy comes to pass. However, I do not take the stance he is a false one until such a time that can be proven without a doubt. The Prophecies of Fatima by the three sisters were denounced as false prophets too. Their prophecies have come to pass and not one was false. Except we really don't know about the one the Vatican chose to keep silent on.

This article is more of a false news item because the headline makes a false claim that never occurred. And that is the point not whether Clement is or is not a false prophet.

I am not disputing anything you said.  I am familiar with Jean Dixon and Baba Vanga and agree with @8th ID that discernment is needed to know the source of the prophecy.  A Christian can get confirmation from the Holy Spirit.

According to the Bible there were several  things that was a indication of Gods true prophets.

1.  Predictions always come true.

2.  God says:  " if He chose to authenticate a true prophey, He would do so by empowering him to work miracles.  Deuteronomy 13:1-5

3.  Even if he works miracles the prophets message MUST BE IN COMPLETE DOCTRINAL AGREEMENT with previous revelation.  Deuteronomy 13.

4.  True prophets communicated Gods word to the people.  Nothing was added or taken away from what God spoke.  Exodus 4:12.    The Lord actually put words into His prophets mouths. Deut. 18:18, Jer.1:9 and Ezekiel 2:7.

5.  The divine inspiration  and authority of the OT prophetic voice is most clearly affirmed in 2 Peter 1:20-21.

More on this can be found in Numbers 11:29, Deuteronomy 21 and 22.

I personally do not believe in Modern day Bibical prophets.  First and foremost God has revealed everything to us in His word.  There is nothing to add to the Cannons. The Cannons have been closed by Jesus Christ Himself.  He tells us this in Revelation.  John the Baptist is considered to be the last OT prophet altho he herald our Lord Jesus in the NT.

Kristie stated that Kim Clemens was ask if he was ever wrong and he stated that yes he was.  Therefore his predictions would disqualify him as a true prophet of God.  All predictions must come true or be proven so in the future to be a true prophet of God plus it must be absolutely in accordance to and agreement with scripture.

Wouldn't be a discussion about religion without a response from you LOL.  As @Markinsa pointed out, some prophecies are conditional, especially personal prophecies.  We will continue to disagree.

Well, I guess I'll  just have to stick to what the Bible says and not Mark because the Bible makes clear that there are NO ACCEPTIONS.  Its Gods way and His word alone.  We cant add and take away because that makes us happy or makes more sense to us.  Yep, I'll  stick to Gods way and His word.

Ha, but you're right, I just had to jump in.

Mark, this is a contradiction to what the Bible tells us between a true prophet of God and a false prophet.  A true prophets predictions will always come true.  Israel was on and off in walking with God but when Gods prophets prophesied, the prophecy always came true.  Gods prophecy has nothing to do with whether or not we are walking in His path.  His word, His prophecy always stands true and will come to past regardless.

I think there is a misunderstanding on the purpose of prophecy.  There is more than one purpose. I am speaking for the purpose of edification.

1 Corinthians 14:1-5 (NASB)

14 Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries. But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation. One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church. Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy; and greater is one who prophesies than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edifying.

In my Church we are encouraged to prophesy.  We even set time apart for this purpose.  I have seen and heard many stories on prophesy in my Church and elsewhere that were spot on accurate to my knowledge.  The person giving the prophesy had no knowledge of what the person was going through, but I knew, and I heard what they were telling the person receiving prophesy, and they were accruately telling the person what they were going through and what God wanted them to know.  I have seen someone give a prophetic word to someone else, and then another person who wasn't even in the room, comes in sits down, and gives the exact same word to the person.

God can give us instruction through the Prophet, but it is up to us to follow that instruction, otherwise, why should we expect what was prophesied to come to pass if we don't follow the instruction?

.

I must agree that there is a miss understanding of the purpose of prophecy and Gods way of speaking to His people in the OT.  God promised to speak to his people under the old covenant thru His true prophets, who were identifiable throught their fidelity to the covenant and their ability to do signs and wonders (Deut 13:1-5 ; 18:15-22.   Despite the great privilege it was to hear from prophets the fact that only select individuals would have the spirit of prophecy was not ideal.  All of the old covenant/OT prophets looked forward to a better day when all the people of God would have the fullness of the Holy Spirit writings of Gods word on their hearts which would then render the need of prophets as obsolete.

we find this to be so when we see Moses rebuke Joshua for not rejoicing over the manifestation of the prophetic gifts in the elders of Israel. (NUM. 11:16-30).  Moses understood that the day was coming when the church/us would no longer need individuals to mediate to the "new revelation" from our Creator.  Later prophets like Joel foresaw  day when ALL BELIEVERS, from the lowliest servant to the most exalted rulers would receive the Word of God and speak it to one another with understanding.  (Joel 2:28-32.   God has always known that unity between Himself and His people could never be realized as long as a prophetic figure stood between the Lord and His people.

But the good news is that this unity was achieved when God Himself became incarnate and expressed His solidarity with His people by walking among them.  Following the ministry of Jesus came the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on every believer  in the fulfillment of Joel's prophecy (Acts 2)   We now stand in line of prophets with a far greater understanding of the Lords place  and purpose.  Some believers are more gifted in the area of teaching than others but there is no longer any need for a prophetic mediator between God and the true believers.

As believers, in a sense, we are Gods prophets in the new covenant as we speak and spread Gods word and His gospels.  But this does not involve NEW REVELATION of any kind.  GOD HAS SPOKEN FULLY AND FINALLY IN HIS SON.(Hebrews 1:1-4).

There are views in many churches today that say God is giving new revelation through prophets who can mix in some error as they misunderstand His word.  These views are to be rejected.  God has spoken fully and completely thru Christ, therefore there is no need for extra or more revelation.  Instead of standing in line with prophets, we are to proclaim the canonical revelation that God has already reveal thru His word Jesus Christ.  If that's not enough for our salvation and belief then we will never believe in the one and only true God and the work on the cross that His precious Son provided.  What else do we need to Know?

Hebrews 1:1-2   1  "In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times in various ways.  2 but in these last days He has spoken to us bu His Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he also made the universe  (NIV)

The Bible is clear that there is no new revelation.
