Abdul-Mahdi issues a statement commemorating the victory over ISIS, and it will delay tomorrow's work
{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The resigned Prime Minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, issued a statement on the anniversary of the victory over the ISIS terrorist gangs, which falls tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10.
"On the occasion of the anniversary of the victory day over the terrorist gang of ISIS and the liberation of Mosul and all Iraqi soil, we extend our sincere congratulations and blessings to all of our dear Iraqi people, and we invite to recall the heroics and sacrifices of the brave and spare fighters of our armed forces in all its forms and formations of the army, police, popular crowd and peshmerga," he said in the statement. Those who defeated the enemy and liberated the land and endowed one hand with our people, with his youth and his youth, when the masses fulfilled the fatwa of the sufficiency jihad announced by the supreme religious authority, and the Iraqis scored a great victory for their homeland and for humanity. "
He added, "A salute to the martyrs and wounded who made the victory and their generous families, and to the heroic fighters from the armed forces and the security services who are still confronting the remnants of ISIS and defending their country and their people and their peaceful protesters and making dear sacrifices again, and they have from us and our people all thanks, respect and appreciation."
Abdel-Mahdi continued, "On this occasion, as we did last year, it was decided to suspend official working hours tomorrow, Tuesday, in celebration of Victory Day."
