He stressed that "the annual returns are estimated at about $ billion, according to the current oil prices, and Chinese companies, upon the desire of Iraq and its annual federal general budget, implement infrastructure projects or strategy that Iraq chooses, and according to international competitive standards and prices and start implementing them

"Made in Iraq" ... displaces its imported counterpart

Sunday, December 22, 2019

alsabaah-25937.jpg

Baghdad / Farah Al-Khaffaf

The results of the peaceful demonstrations were not limited to pushing the political and social reforms forward, but also touched the crucifixion of the needs of the Iraqis through calls to support the national product and the primacy of the economic interests of many segments, most notably industrial and agricultural, which achieved a tangible recovery recently in its marketing file (the national product) and the return The wheel of production in hundreds of factories and factories, again impeding the growth of production

In this regard, economic analyst Rahim Al-Shammari said in a statement to {Al-Sabah »:“ The national product was never cut off from the markets in Iraq, but a number of factors have limited the growth of production and the absence of agricultural, food and industrial products. ”
Al-Shammari affirmed, "The importance of the Iraqi industry, which is one of the best global industries, such as dates, dairy, leather, medicines, construction and food materials, especially since the factories were established in the country since the 1940s."
Among the most prominent factors that led to a decline in the focus on the local industry, according to Al-Shammari, is the rumor of a preference for the imported product, and the presence of a major problem in advertising and marketing, as well as the lack of finding appropriate ways to deliver products to close and well-known outlets from consumers.

A wide popular campaign
And he sees that «with the start of the protests and demonstrations awareness emerged in various fields among large segments of the Iraqi society, which found that industry and agriculture can provide job opportunities and reduce unemployment rates in the country, by encouraging the acquisition of national products that have positively launched a broad popular campaign to support National Product.
He urged the necessity of "stopping random importation, especially since foodstuffs manufactured inside Iraq are not preserved and preserved fresh, unlike imported goods, some of which may take several months until arriving in Iraq and then to the consumer, in addition to including preservatives that affect Negatively in some chronic diseases, as for the manufacture of medicines, most of them are made from trees and plants of medicinal benefit, as well as agricultural products from vegetables and fruits, as soil fertility and the abundance of abundant water from the Tigris and Euphrates helps their quality and natural taste ».

The importance of marketing and advertising
Al-Shammari stressed, "The importance of giving marketing, advertising and media a greater role to chart the right way to promote local products and deliver them to the consumer, as they are the best quality and the cheapest price, especially as they achieve an important economic boom based on moving the market and public life." For his part, the industrial expert, Aqeel Al-Saadi, said that «the most important factor in supporting the national product is the media, to remove the minor perception among the citizen that every national product is poor and does not deserve to be bought before trying it, and that there is no national industry worthy of attention .. while running Towards imported products, even if they are poor.

Stop escaping money
The expert added in a special statement to “Al-Sabah”: “The recent popular campaign focused on the fact that buying the national product is in the sense of providing job opportunities for your son and for your brother and for young people in general, instead of spreading fatal unemployment, because the citizen’s purchase of the local product is stopping the flight of money abroad and its circulation inside the country What leads to the recovery of the national economy ».
And the national campaign on social networking sites, according to Al-Saadi, has proven its effectiveness "by displaying samples of national products, with some advertisements that reach the citizen easily and quickly", urging that they continue and not be limited to specific products but rather display all the products manufactured in Iraq, and consider That is part of the citizen’s love for his country. Every national product sold is a contribution to employing the largest number of local factories, thus providing an honorable and decent job opportunity for an unemployed youth, which achieves social stability. ”

The most quality products
In turn, citizen Mohammed Abdel Jalil said: “National products, especially food, outweigh imported with their quality and fresh flavor, but they are not available in abundance in sales centers and stores,” hoping to increase production capacities, after the popular campaigns to support the national product, which contributed to its free advertising. On the other hand, the owner of one of the private food factories in Baghdad stated that “national production in previous years was facing many problems and obstacles that limit the growth and development of production, the most prominent of which are the commodity dumping of materials and goods similar to the national product, and the cheapest prices, the lack of fuel Electrical energy, lack of financial and tax facilities, and other obstacles, but now thanks to the national campaigns to support the product under the slogan (Made in Iraq), there is an awareness of the demand for national products.
And tried it, because it is equal to the importer and is of superior quality.

Don’t Touch That Dial ! It’s Been Awhile - But This Just In Straight From The Nile With The Hanim Crocodile File ! :o

:D  :D  :D

“Let it be misery” .. a revolutionary weapon that strikes the heart of the Iranian product in the Iraqi market!

 Tuesday 24 December 2019

Private: I wrote - Hanim the crocodile:

There is still a lot of Iraqi protesters in the possession of what they can offer for the success of their uprising against corruption and the retreat of the identity of "Iraq" in exchange for political, economic, and even religious transgression of "Iran" within the Iraqi society and countries .. After the demonstrators were serious about their blood, they resorted to counter Iranian influence In politics as in trade, especially since they consider it the main criminal against them and corrupt politicians are nothing but brides who are driven by Iranian fingers ... Recently, Iraqis resort to the weapon of boycotting the imports of the neighboring country and its goods in their markets, raising the slogan "Let it be underestimation."

Let it be misfortune ..

The Iraqis recently launched a campaign on social media in Hashtag: (# Make it loose), (mold affects), calling on everyone to boycott Iranian products, including milk, cheese, drinks, food cans, etc., which are usually almost daily present on Iraqi tables.

"Iraq", which "oil" is the only source of its budget, depends almost entirely on "Tehran" in energy derivatives and other basic materials. And occupies "Tehran" second place, after "Ankara", in terms of trade exchanges with "Iraq", as it reaches today about 9 billion dollars, less than 10 percent of which is the value of "Baghdad" exports to "Tehran", according to official figures.

That is why, since October 1, Iraqi demonstrators who have occupied the streets see a return to "made in Iraq" as a major blow to the neighbor. And undermine its leverage to kill protesters.

Supporting the Iraqi national product ..

One of the demonstrators, a master student at the University of "Baghdad", said: "What we are doing is a revolution against all the mistake we were brought up with (...) We believed that the Iranian product was cheap and of the highest quality. But the revolution contributed to our awareness today. ” He added, “We must boycott all non-Iraqi products (...) to support the national product. The least is to provide jobs for Iraqis and keep money inside the country.

One of the demonstrators says that the boycott campaign "was in the interest of the people, because the government was keen to weaken us." She added, “We needed this revolution to rise from a strong renaissance in all respects, even in terms of trade. So the boycott came to our advantage. ”

The campaign, which started from "Baghdad", spread to the southern provinces of the country, which also have a large share of anti-regime protests and its "Iran" supporter, which to date have killed about 460 people and wounded 25,000.

In the city of “Karbala”, the production manager watches the workers in one of the factories while they pack cheese and dairy and put a stamp on it, “Made in Iraq.” The fact is, after the anti-corruption demonstrations, our factory’s production increased fivefold,” he says. He points out that the plant is currently producing 40 tons per day, and that the popularity of people increased because they discovered "better quality, longer life and cheaper price".

"We, as a country, import almost everything," says a researcher at the Institute for Regional and International Studies in Sulaymaniyah, northern Iraq. We have domestic production, but it is either small industries, or not profitable. ” "Our problem is that we do not have our own sector to meet our basic needs that start with food and up," he says.

And if the campaign had started against "Iran" in particular, it became a broad address to support the Iraqi product in the face of any other imported materials, and from any country. "I always look for the best and the best Iraqi product," says a woman inside a Baghdad store. We should encourage him these days to boost our production. ” Inside another mall, a customer says: “Prices were more expensive than before. Now half the value, good and suitable. Things that do not exceed one thousand dinars, for example. The woman herself considers: “The problem is not in the country from which we import. The issue is to encourage national production. ”

Exiting hard currency in exchange for importing fake goods.

And the corruption file in the currency auction still casts a shadow on the economic and political scene as well, because the banks that hold the auction are linked to political parties through which they finance their parties and return to them with abundant financial profit at the expense of the country's economy; as long as the “Central Bank of Iraq” law - which was issued while there is “ Paul Bremer ”in the helm of judgment - No. 56 of 2004; allows the sale of hard currency to all who requested it without restrictions and conditions.

The currency auction is a new form of economic corruption associated with the process of money laundering in the country and the exit of hard currency from "Iraq".

An economist says: “The auction, which was established in the year 2004, was created with the aim of not having a monopoly on the dollar on one side and to buy the Iraqi dinar to cover the budget and prevent inflation on the other hand; it was a tool for controlling the exchange rate, but the difference in value between cash sales and transfers formed a margin Profit for the banks participating in the auction and a limited number of companies, which led to the smuggling of large amounts of dollars.

He stressed that: "The auction has become a corridor of profit instead of the real banking and for the exit of the dollar with import licenses that do not import anything and the audit is not conducted on the goods purchased in exchange for these transfers. As banks and banking companies still share the spoils of the auction by transferring the currency abroad without importing the need and with different addresses, which led to the loss of tens of billions of foreign currency annually.

A scary budget because of corruption.

"Iraq" is facing difficulty in paying the annual bill to finance its overstated government institutions with disguised unemployment and appointments of new graduates - according to political sharing - in order to contain public anger over government failure, drown in corruption and increasingly drain resources.

And the Iraqi "parliament" approved the general budget, after deep differences between the parties forming the system regarding investing allocations politically to support employment plans, and the shares of ministries, destroyed cities, and governorates that are not organized in a region.

The budget for the year 2019 is about $ 112 billion, with a deficit of up to $ 23 billion, to be paid from foreign loans, (18 loans), and internal debt recycled, (to five local entities), payable or deferred by interest, in addition to the program "National Bonds" , And to continue “borrowing” with the International Export Corporation’s guarantee for the purchase of weapons (including that oppressive) and logistical support for the ministries of “Defense” and “Interior” and “Popular Mobilization” and “Counter-Terrorism Service”; all of this costs about $ 906 million.

The 2019 budget doubled the financial drain on the Iraqi state from what it was in 2018, as the financial deficit was then $ 11 billion.

American forces in Iraq: ISIS fighters live in caves ... and the security forces are no longer the same as they were in the fall of Mosul

Baghdad today - follow up

The commander of the American forces in Iraq, Brig. William Sealy, confirmed on Tuesday (December 24, 2019) that their forces are working to strengthen the training of the Iraqi security forces and the Peshmerga.

"The organization is trying to rearrange its ranks, but it is facing a different reaction from the Iraqi and Kurdish forces this time," the BBC quoted Seeley as saying.

He added, "The Iraqi and Kurdish forces are more prepared than in 2014, when the organization succeeded in controlling a third of Iraqi lands and took control of Mosul, the second largest city in the country, and it did not face any significant resistance."

He continued, "The Iraqi security forces and the Peshmerga are not the same as they were at the time of the fall of Mosul, we are working here to enhance their training, and the Iraqi security forces are working to preserve the momentum of the resistance of the elements of the organization."

He referred to the period between mid-October and mid-November, when the Iraqi security forces launched 170 combing operations, and destroyed the components of about 1700 improvised explosive devices.

He pointed out that "the organization's fighters are now hiding in the caves and deserts in conditions that a person cannot tolerate for long periods, as well as they cannot move in large groups.
