Sadr's leader Muqtada al-Sadr on Friday described the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi from his post does not mean the end of financial and administrative corruption rampant in the joints of the Iraqi state, proposing a referendum to choose a replacement for Abdul-Mahdi.

This came in a statement issued by al-Sadr today and this reads below:

Translation....

Thank you to the rebels. Thank you to everyone who supported Wade. The Prime Minister has resigned. Thank God. It is the first fruits of the revolution and not the last. But to know that his resignation does not mean the end of corruption, so I suggest the following

First - that the nomination of the Prime Minister through a referendum on five candidates, and put the referendum funds in the streets of protests

Second - the work of establishing a scientific anti - corruption council includes a selection of judges The competent and those with integrity and courage to hold accountable who spoiled and who will corrupt

Thirdly - the new prime minister should choose his booth far from the parties

Fourth - the blocs and militias and away from the sectarian, partisan, nationalist and factional quotas, and Shaklhan

Fifth - Parliament to not involve itself in the formation of the government only by voting with conviction and taking the opinion of the people directly and under the supervision of independent non-corrupt

Sixth - to continue peaceful demonstrations and not to retreat. Deal firmly with or against any violent demonstrators. And through the security forces of the army and police exclusively

Seventh - We hope from friendly countries and others. Give the Iraqis the opportunity to report short, by advising you
Muqtada al-Sadr.

Specialists: The banking sector needs new legislation to guarantee deposits and restore confidence with the citizen

27/11/2019

Baghdad / Trend - Reports

The lack of confidence between the citizen and the banking sector is still prevalent, as a result of the policies of banks during the crises experienced by the country in monopolizing depositors' money and not returning them under false pretexts.

It is estimated that the volume of liquidity in Iraq by 47 trillion Iraqi dinars hoarding in homes about 70 percent of this amount, according to the indicators of specialized centers and financial experts, which indicates the size of the gap between the citizen and government and private banks.

The actions of banks reflect the nature of the public environment and the private financial environment, which has lost the requirements of sound global governance, which represents the approach to audit and control and fortify the work of all types of banks.

Most banks operate in the currency window of the Central Bank and did not attach importance to banking operations because the window provides them with huge financial profits, and this approach led to a significant deterioration in the banking sector, which is still underdeveloped and did not keep pace with technological development in the world.

Iraqi banks turned to the security side, when you open an account of any citizen find security questions surrounded by the bank, especially where you get this money, which left negative effects on the citizen and most important reluctance to deal with public and private banks.

If this problem is addressed and the chunky mass is directed to the banks, it requires serious work that will lead to restoring confidence between citizens and all banks. And enable it to play its real role in development. ”

Economist Dr. Abdul Rahman al-Mashhadani said in a press statement: There is a crisis of great confidence between the citizen and the banking sector, as a result of wrong practices by banks in times of crisis in the country, which caused the failure to deposit 70% of the volume of cash in citizens' homes, which has a negative impact On the dealings of financial banks, which preferred to go to the currency auction because it provides huge profits, which lost the moral value of banks, and the Central Bank did not do its duty to protect the deposits of citizens in banks, which increased the gap between the parties.

Al-Mashhadani continued: Foreign investor is also losing confidence in the banking sector because of the routine in the operations of deposit and withdrawal, so laws must be legislated, the most important of which is the law of guaranteeing deposits and loans and other things that contribute significantly to bring cash to the banking sector smoothly, noting that The cornerstone of this and its application represents the real beginning to move liquidity in the right direction and transfer it to the banking sector, which will employ it in the service of the national economy.

For his part, says economist Jassim Alaiwi in a press contact: the weak banking culture in Iraq due to lack of awareness and lack of transparency in the work of banks, the number of Iraqi adults who do not have bank accounts amount to 1.17 million people, out of a total of 37 million citizens make up the population according to the latest statistics Ministry of Planning.

He added that “the uncertainty in the work of banks is another reason.

“The lack of transparency in the management of private banks is a third reason, as many of them are family-owned companies that have served the owners more than customers. And create coins inside.

Iraq's ports under the control of Sadr, Hakim and Maliki and 100 million dollars a day in favor of the militias from the auction of selling currency!

page-1.jpg

Last updated: 30 November 2019 - 10:36 AM

BAGHDAD / Iraq News Network - Nearly two months have passed since anti-corruption protests began in Baghdad. Illegal and “underground networks” from Iran through Iraq, all the way to Syria and Lebanon, have drained the Iraqi economy for years.

While there are rumors and allegations about the complete cessation of transfers of crude oil shipments from some oil fields to export ports south and the impact of Iraqi oil supplies, many questions arise about the absence of any official statement from international oil companies operating Iraqi fields, such as “Lukoil” "," BP, "and" Shell "complains about the disruption of production ... If we recognize that this has happened, why did not reflect this rise in oil prices in the global market in particular, that Iraq exports at least 3 million barrels per day!

In the oil-rich province of Basra in the south of the country, Iraqi analyst and economist Dr. Sadiq al-Rikabi in an exclusive interview with the "Arab.Net", that the official authorities are trying to give the impression and create a kind of "intimidation" and "exaggeration" in the size of damage and damage, As a pressure card on the demonstrators, in an attempt to suppress those protests under the pretext of threatening oil supplies and revenues of the Iraqi budget.

He explained that the most prominent oil fields, which was marred by a temporary disruption for a maximum of 5 days, was the result of the inability of workers to access these fields and not because of sabotage and attempts to destroy and burn oil installations, as promoted, as follows:

1- Al-Gharaf oil field in Dhi Qar province, where the Iraqi tribes in that area prevented the employees from entering it, which led to stop production by about 50%. Petronas has increased its production capacity by 200,000 barrels per day.

2 - Qurna field is one of the oil fields located in southern Iraq, specifically in the province of Basra, stopped production by up to 25%, and then pumped back as it was before by the security forces.

3 - Rumaila oil fields, where there was no interruption of production.

4 - The field Majnoun, the largest field, with an average production of 245 thousand barrels per day, attempts were made at the beginning of the demonstrations to prevent the entry of employees, but this succeeded and was not affected by the production process.

While the spokesman for the commander of the Iraqi armed forces Abdul Karim Khalaf pointed to the existence of "gangs" exploiting the demonstrations to try to destroy and burn state institutions, ports and oil installations, "informed sources informed high-level Arab. A threat to the Iraqi oil fields or to the supplies of the presence of "foreign powers rented", to ensure protection for them!

The Qayyarah field (in Ninewa governorate) is a different story. It is the only field that has been completely closed, but its production does not exceed 20,000 barrels per day only, according to a specialized oil expert, which was originally controlled by ISIS and form the last fields received by the Iraqi government.

Ironically, this field has witnessed looting and theft of oil by Iraqi armed militias, towards Syria via oil tanks, estimated between 72 to 80 thousand barrels per day, which is looted quantities of "Qayyarah" and from Tal Afar (Iraqi city located Northwestern Iraq, and administratively affiliated to the province of Nineveh), according to a previous investigation revealed to Arabic.

The ports of Basra have not been free of protests and the blocking of roads leading to them, after official sources reported that "the import and export stopped because of the inability of trucks to enter the ports of Khor Al-Zubair and Umm Qasr," which are the most prominent for the export and import of oil derivatives, in addition to various goods.

To come shocking statements from the spokesman of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, that the cost of disabling the port of Umm Qasr cost Iraq losses of $ 6 billion per week!

Dr. Sadiq al-Rikabi is surprised by these exaggerated figures, in an attempt to arouse public opinion against the demonstrators, saying: “Every day a block in the port costs Iraq $ 300 thousand, according to official statements, and if the period that was talking about Abdul Karim Khalaf is 14 days "This means, in a simple way, that Iraq has lost $ 4.2 million from the cost of disrupting the port. Where did the $ 6 billion come from?"

Al-Rikabi is likely to oppress the demonstrators because of the fear of the parties to withdraw the rug from under their feet and stop the road to gutters of corruption and deals, where the sidewalks used "port of Umm Qasr" for quota between the parties, so they went mad from the protest movements as a result of the losses incurred, revealing that There are three parties involved in sharing the port and taking a commission on the goods imported and exported through it amid a state of blackout on the annual customs revenues, which is estimated between $ 7 billion to $ 8 billion:

1 - National wisdom movement headed by Ammar al-Hakim

2 - Sadr movement headed by Muqtada al-Sadr

3 - State of Law coalition headed by Nuri al-Maliki

This is denied by the MP in the Iraqi parliament, Hassan al-Masoudi, in a telephone conversation with the "Arab.Net," considering that the country's current interest requires higher economic interests, "hence the importance of opening the port of Umm Qasr to provide financial resources and achieve popular interests, and parties away from Al-Qasas, the position of the stream of wisdom was clear from the beginning in moving away from the quota in all vital facilities.

In contrast, according to sources familiar with the Arabic.Net, according to the latest OPEC report, Iraq's production fell slightly by 42 thousand barrels per day in October compared to production in September to 4,690 million barrels per day, but there is no evidence whether this is because of protests or It was normal at this time of year.

Estimates for November indicate exports of about 3.3 million barrels per day (bpd) from the south, less than in October (around 3.5 million bpd).

What is remarkable, according to the sources, that the United States has released its strategic stockpile by more than 3 million barrels, and this is greater than any amount lost by Iraq, according to the sources .. Does this give an indication of the fear of what entered the American hand in anticipation of any defect In Iraqi supplies?

Those who scrutinize the sequence of events consider that the protests that erupted in Iran and the government's tendency to raise gasoline prices are linked to what is happening in Iraq. Large with the disruption of Iraqi ports and the closure of ports, "according to Rikabi.

This has increased the noose on the Iranians amid tough US sanctions, after Iraq was its biggest outlet to circumvent the sanctions.

While Tehran has created many alternatives to lead large-scale smuggling operations, through secret transport networks "land" and black banks and secret trade, especially through the Kurdistan region (northern Iraq) to be the largest outlet in circumventing US sanctions and smuggling of crude oil and its derivatives. Kurdistan has missed the protests.

Al-Rikabi explains that the tribal element in the Kurdistan region of Iraq is completely different from the south of the country.

Since Iranian oil is sold by the IRGC network led by the Quds Force, and covered by Iraqi Shiite militias and Popular Mobilization factions, through the so-called currency auction under the brightening of Shiite private banks.

Al-Rikabi reveals that the average auction sale of the currency by the Central Bank of Iraq is estimated at $ 200 million per day, about $ 100 million of which goes daily to finance armed parties and militias, where traders provide forged documents for import signed by Iraqi commercial attachments forged against the dollar, to These private banks sell the dollar at a lower price than the market in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq, to later reach these funds in the hands of militias.

30th November, 2019

Almost two months since the start of protests against the spread of corruption in Iraq, where Baghdad and the cities of southern Iraq, predominantly Shiite demonstrators, which often led to the temporary blocking of roads leading to export ports and oil fields to denounce the illegal oil smuggling And the "secret networks" from Iran through Iraq, all the way to Syria and Lebanon, which have drained the Iraqi economy for years.

What is really happening on the ground?

In the oil-rich province of Basra in the south of the country, Iraqi analyst and economist Sadiq al-Rikabi told Al Arabiya.net that the official authorities are trying to give an impression and create a kind of "exaggeration" and "exaggeration" in the size of the damage and damage, as a pressure card On the demonstrators, in an attempt to suppress those protests under the pretext of threatening oil supplies and revenues of the Iraqi budget.

Net that even if the tribes threatened to close oil ports, this will not constitute A threat to the Iraqi oil fields and supplies because of the presence of "foreign leased powers"

Qayara .. looted amounts

Either field Qayyarah (in the province of Nineveh) story is different, it is the only field that was completely closed but the production is not 20 thousand barrels more than a day, according to an oil expert specialist, which was originally under the control of Daesh and other form fields received by the government Iraqi. Ironically, this field has witnessed looting and theft of oil by armed groups, towards Syria via oil tanks, estimated between 72 to 80 thousand barrels per day, which is looted quantities of "Qayyarah" and from Tal Afar (an Iraqi city located north Western Iraq, and is administratively affiliated to the province of Nineveh), according to a previous investigation revealed to Arabic.

Umm Qasr port .. quotas between parties

Sadiq al-Rikabi is surprised by these exaggerated figures, in an attempt to provoke public opinion against the demonstrators, saying: "Every day a block in the port costs Iraq $ 300 thousand, according to official statements, and if the period he was talking about Abdul Karim Khalaf is 14 days, this In simple terms, Iraq has lost $ 4.2 million from the cost of disrupting the port. Where did the $ 6 billion come from?

3 parties controlling the port

Al-Rikabi is likely to oppress the demonstrators because of the fear of the parties to pull the rug from under their feet and stop the way to gutters of corruption and deals, where the sidewalks of the port of Umm Qasr are used for quota between the parties, so they went mad from the protest movements as a result of their losses, revealing that There are three parties involved in the sharing of the port, and take a commission on the goods imported and exported through a state of blackout on the annual customs revenue, which is estimated between 7 to 8 billion dollars, namely:

- National Wisdom Stream: is one of the Iraqi political parties founded in Baghdad on July 24, 2017 Cisse Ammar al-       Hakim.
- The Sadrist movement is a political and religious trend that belongs to the Iraqi Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr.
- State of Law Coalition : Iraqi political coalition, headed by Nuri al-Maliki.

This is denied by the MP, Hassan al-Masoudi, in a telephone interview with the "Arab.Net", saying that the country's current interest requires higher economic interests, "hence the importance of opening the port of Umm Qasr to provide financial resources and achieve popular interests, and parties away from quotas From the beginning, the position of wisdom was clear from the quota in all vital facilities."

America releases its stocks .. Why?

In contrast, according to sources familiar with the Arabic.Net, according to the latest OPEC report, Iraq's production fell slightly by 42 thousand barrels per day in October compared to production in September to 4,690 million barrels per day, but there is no evidence whether this is because of protests or It was normal at this time of year. Estimates for November indicate exports of about 3.3 million barrels per day (bpd) from the south, less than in October (around 3.5 million bpd). What is remarkable, according to sources, that the United States has released its strategic stockpile by more than 3 million barrels, and this is greater than any amount that Iraq may lose, according to the sources .. Does this give an indication of the fear of what entered the American hand in anticipation of any defect In Iraqi supplies?

Demonstrations in Iraq .. The spark that ignited Tehran

Anyone who scrutinizes the sequence of events sees the protests that have erupted in Iran and the government's tendency to raise gasoline prices in connection with what is happening in Iraq. "With the major disruption of Iraqi ports and the closure of outlets," according to Rikabi. This has increased the noose on the Iranians amid tough US sanctions, after Iraq was its biggest outlet to circumvent the sanctions.

Oil smuggling and currency auction

While Tehran has created many alternatives to lead large-scale smuggling operations, through secret transport networks "land" and black banks and secret trade, especially through the Kurdistan region (northern Iraq) to be the largest outlet in circumventing US sanctions and smuggling crude oil and its derivatives However, the Kurdistan region has been absent from the protests.

100 million dollars a day to finance the militias! Al-Rikabi reveals that the average auction of selling currency is estimated at about $200 million a day, about $100 million of which goes daily to finance parties, where traders provide forged documents for import signed by Iraqi commercial attachments by fraud in exchange for the dollar. From the market in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq, to reach these funds later in the hands of the militias.

Sadr commented on news of Maliki's nomination to lead an interim government by Ameri

Politics  ,   2019/12/01 10:36

35005.jpg?watermark=4

Baghdad - Iraq today:

The page of Saleh Mohammed al-Iraqi attributed to the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr on the news of the nomination of former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to lead an interim government, by the leader of the conquest coalition Hadi al-Amiri.

The Iraqi said, "One of the brothers has published that Hadi al-Amiri has nominated Nuri al-Maliki to head an interim government," commented: "Mo Bkefhm."

For his part, the director of Maliki's office, Hisham al-Rikabi denied the news, saying that al-Maliki does not seek to return to the post of prime minister and has no other candidate for this post.

This comes after the same page published a conversation that said it took place between the leader of the Sadr movement Muqtada al-Sadr and "Saleh al-Iraqi," described as "Minister of Sadr," included a pledge from the leader of the Sadrist movement to "prevent the arrival of corrupt to power again."

Sadr also announced, according to the conversation attributed to him who "practiced acts of violence and burning of the demonstrators," calling for the maintenance of peaceful protests, especially after the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi.

The following is the text of the conversation:

He asked me to come yesterday, so I was in his hands

He said to me, "Saleh ... Many tell me that most of the demonstrators are your followers."

But I answer them .. They are my followers, but they are Iraqis and they are winning for their country without direct guidance from me

I said, so what ..

He said: What is happening from violence and riots from some of the demonstrators attributed to (followers) of the demonstrators

I said: No proof

He said: It is just an opinion they adopt and some views may not have evidence

But the problem is the continuation of violence from the demonstrators, whether they are followers or not, I do not differentiate between an Iraqi and another, except the extent of his love for his country.

Yes, the violence has continued even after the resignation of the government.

I said: What is required ..

He said: "O Saleh, if some of the demonstrators are followers of (Al-Sadr) and are still consecrating me, I did not and I will not tell them go home and do not demonstrate it is their right, but how I wish to be one of them

But the purpose of the matter is that I order them not to use violence at all… but they keep their sit and strike (partial) if they want .. I am even more clear of any of them and demonstrators who are burning and killing and endangering civilians and endangering holy sites, scientists and scientists' shrines

I said: I will inform them immediately

He said: Yes, Saleh told me about the commitment to peaceful and keep the holy provinces from violence and harm, especially after the resignation .. We will not forget their tremendous efforts, but we will demand fair retribution from those who suffered from them as the martyrs of the revolution our martyrs .. Tell them: Nor from afar

O Saleh told them about me peace .. I did not and will not allow the return of corruptmen in another dress and other names and we will prevent all parties and currents as prevented us (Sadrists) from interfering in the formation of the government and the Commission and its law

We will press with their peace and justice to hold the corrupt and thieves accountable, even if they claim to belong to us as well as those outside us.
