US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the United States will impose sanctions on "corrupt" Iraqi officials amid continuing demonstrations against Iraqi authorities across the country.

"We will not stand idly by as corrupt officials make the Iraqi people suffer," Pompeo told a news conference Monday evening at the State Department.

"The United States will use our legitimate authority to impose sanctions on corrupt figures who steal Iraqi wealth and those who kill and injure civilian protesters," Pompeo said.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Monday his administration would not stop idling at the corruption that brings suffering to Iraqis.

"We will not stand idly by as we see corrupt officials making the Iraqi people suffer," Pompeo told a news conference.

The foreign minister added that the protests in Iraq do not distinguish between communities and ethnic groups, but wants to get rid of Iranian interference.

Pompeo said the United States remained the largest donor of humanitarian aid in Iraq.

Pompeo announced US sanctions would soon be imposed on corrupt figures who steal Iraqi wealth.

He said his country would impose sanctions on corrupt figures and individuals who steal Iraqi wealth.

On the current popular movement in Iran, Pompeo said the Iranian people will have a better future when the government respects human rights.

Pompeo called on the Iranian government to immediately reverse its ban on Internet services, which have been cut since dawn on Friday, in conjunction with demonstrations across Iran to protest against the government's rise in gasoline prices.

The Secretary of State pointed to Iran's retreat from its commitment to the terms of the nuclear agreement, saying that "there is nuclear blackmail" from Tehran, and that "this will deepen Iranian isolation."

Send 3000 US troops to Saudi Arabia

19th November, 2019

US President Donald Trump has told Congress that additional US troops will be deployed in Saudi Arabia in the coming weeks to defend against Iran, and about 3,000 military personnel will remain in the kingdom as long as required, according to a letter released by the White House on Tuesday.

"The additional forces I have ordered to deploy in Saudi Arabia include radar and missile systems to improve defenses against air and missile threats in the region, and the air campaign wing to support the operation of US fighter aircraft from Saudi Arabia," the letter said. "Two combat squadrons," Trump said in the letter to congressional leaders. "The first of these additional troops has arrived in Saudi Arabia, and the remaining troops will arrive in the coming weeks."

"With the new deployment, the total number of US troops in Saudi Arabia will be around 3,000," Trump said. "These individuals will remain deployed as long as their presence is required to fulfill the above tasks."

Bloomberg: The Iranian protests are an opportunity for America to support the people against the regime

image.php?token=ea8602cac0e3dc8194d83ad4f05f022f&c=7340347&size=

19th November, 2019

The United States should take advantage of the current protests in Iran by lifting a ban on Iranian travel and medicine imports that will improve its image and strengthen the protesters' position, Bloomberg news agency reported on Tuesday.

She added that such steps, which she described as "small" will refute the claims of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other symbols of the regime that the enemies of Iran are driving the protests as they did in previous demonstrations.

The agency said in a report that the regime's disconnection of the Internet in most areas of Iran suggests that it is "more threatened" by these protests than previous demonstrations. The report pointed out that Khamenei is very angry that he “suffered two bad weeks” as a result of the burning of his images in the protests of Iraq, Lebanon and finally in Iran, which led him to blame the “thieves and foreign powers” and give orders to beat the demonstrators.

The report pointed out that the administration of US President Donald Trump can now see that the protests are evidence that sanctions are beginning to affect Iran, noting that the statements of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in which he expressed Washington's solidarity with the demonstrators, will not affect much on the pretext that The Iranians received nothing from Trump when he pledged strong support for the Iranian people during the protests early last year. "In any case, the Iranians do not now need to believe Pompeo or not," he said. "What the US administration should do now is quickly and quickly to show real support for the Iranians and reinforce the frustration of Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani."

The report said that the first step by Washington is to lift the ban on Iranian travel to the United States, and the second is to ease the ban on exports of medical supplies to Iran. He explained that lifting the travel ban would lead to the brain drain, while strengthening the moral image of the United States, which the Iranian regime portrays as the enemy. “Doing these two steps while the protests are raging will make it difficult for Iran's leaders to divert attention from popular anger against them by blaming the evil (America) as usual… True, they are small initiatives, but working to keep the Iranians focused on the real source of their suffering,” he concluded. Good thing.”

Israel bombs dozens of locations inside Syria

Israel bombs dozens of locations inside Syria

2019/11/20 8:22

The Israeli army said it had bombed dozens of targets "belonging to the Syrian government and Iran" inside Syrian territory, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, in response to the firing of rockets from the occupied Golan Heights towards Israel on Tuesday. "Warplanes raided just a few dozen military targets belonging to the Iranian Quds Force and the Syrian army inside Syrian territory, including surface-to-air missiles, headquarters, weapons depots and military bases, in response to yesterday's rocket fire from Syria,"Avichai Adrai, an Israeli army spokesman, said on Twitter. Israel".

The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) confirmed the Israeli attacks, which were carried out by warplanes targeting the capital Damascus and its suburbs from inside Israeli territory, specifically from the occupied Golan side, and from Marj Ayoun in Lebanon. One rocket hit and destroyed a house, wounding a family of four, it said. "The Syrian air defense systems responded to the attack and dropped a number of Israeli missiles over the capital Damascus," SANA said.

Local reports said a powerful explosion was heard in the city. Photos on social media also showed a number of fires at sites in the Syrian capital. The Israeli spokesman justified the raids as a response to Iranian attacks from Syria. "The Iranian attack on Israeli territory on Tuesday by launching intercepted missiles is clear evidence of the real reason for Iran's presence in Syria," he said. "The situation of Iran poses a threat to Israel's security, stability in the region and the Syrian regime," he said. In his series of tweets, Adrai blamed the "Syrian regime" for any attacks against Israel from its territory, stressing that the Israeli army "is ready for all scenarios."

Abdul Mahdi: All the demands of the demonstrators are doable

8277777.jpeg

20th November, 2019

Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi stressed the work to reform the country to meet the requirements of comprehensive development and not only respond to legitimate demands.

This came during a meeting on Wednesday with a large gathering of tribal elders and tribal elders from the central and southern governorates, to deliberate on the situation in the country and the reform measures and solutions and ways to enhance security and stability and meet the legitimate demands of protesters and the general public.

During the meeting, the tribal sheikhs reviewed the reality of the governorates in terms of security, service and living, as well as many opinions, demands and proposals related to fighting corruption, operating stalled laboratories, providing job opportunities, supporting the ration card and compensations, in addition to calling for constitutional amendments and imposing the rule of law and the prestige of the state to preserve the state's resources and public and private property and ports. And border ports.

The Prime Minister stressed that "all demands are feasible in cooperation in good times and bad and bear joint responsibility for the interest of Iraq," noting that "the tribes were in the first row in all covenants and extended the battlefields against ISIS with brave men, which is really a reference army and the people and stood with our forces until To achieve victory." He pointed out that "the government in its first year faced and exceeded many problems, challenges and accumulations, and we are determined to serve our country and our people and fight poverty and corruption and achieve the desired reform."

Regarding the demonstrations, the Prime Minister said that "the demonstrations are legitimate and the constitution respects freedom of expression. It has revealed the imbalances in the political system and the various issues of life that must be addressed, and must provide a safe investment environment to attract companies and reduce dependence on oil and to increase resources and jobs." "When we assumed responsibility, we turned to rely on the Iraqi people, especially the peasants in the case of investment of the rainy season and the cultivation of grain, which achieved an increase in production rates and delivered their dues immediately despite the financial crisis in order to ensure and encourage farmers to continue to cultivate their land in the coming seasons and strengthen the Iraqi economy." Dependence on the state is dangerous because its monopoly on money is rife with corruption and therefore we are trying to change these contexts with a new vision.

20th November, 2019

Photos and videos circulated through social networking sites, showed dozens of Iraqi citizens in anger, after they found employment applications they submitted during the past days, in a landfill.

Videos showed containers filled with official documents for those wishing to hire, and the outcry of young people who see the incident as a mockery of their demands since the protests began nationwide.

As angry protests erupted last month, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi announced a number of reform initiatives and initiatives, including more jobs in the public sector, such as education, oil, and the ministries of defense and interior.

This was not the first time that citizens found applications for employment in the public sector in the landfill, where several cases preceded several different governorates, undermining confidence in the promises announced by the government.

The Iranian project bounces back on Iran

- 9 Hours Have Passed

%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%88%D8%

What is happening in Iran? What is happening in Iraq? What is happening in Syria? What is happening in Lebanon? What is the connection between what is happening in the four countries? The answer is simply that there are people who are fed up with humiliation and seek to belong to the culture of life and be in contact with what is civilized in this world and nothing more.

What has been revealed in the renewed revolution in Iran a few days ago that the people of this country refuses to submit to injustice and oppression and the process of impoverishment, despite four decades since the proclamation of the "Islamic Republic" and the adoption of a constitution has nothing to do with democracy from near or far.

Most importantly, there is an Iranian generation that knows exactly what it means to live in a system that is deprived of minimum personal freedom. There is a regime in Iran that wants to impose on the people unacceptable things that totally contradict the nature of the average Iranian who loves America, unlike all the slogans raised in a country that only knew good when he had a good relationship with the United States. Yes, Iran was good in the days when it was in harmony with Washington, despite the great mistake amounted to a crime, committed by the United States and Britain during the era of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh in 1953, in response to the nationalization of the oil company operating in Iran, which was American - British.

At the time, the United States made a big mistake at a time when Mosaddegh was democratically elected and Iran tended to have political life under a well-developed constitution very close to the constitutions of Western countries where long-established democratic life exists.

The American move away from Iran, after 1979, was a punishment for the Iranian people. There is no doubt that it remains in the memory of this people coup against Mossadegh, but it can not be ignored that Iran has evolved a lot under the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, which was overthrown by a genuine popular revolution in 1979. He entered an advanced stage of paranoia after he developed cancer. The Shah of Iran lived five years, between 1974 and 1979 and is secretly cured of cancer. He eventually fell victim to the isolation he experienced at a time when a good number of officers warned him of the consequences of tolerating some of the phenomena behind which extremist clerics were seeking power at any cost…

The current leadership situation in Iran is similar to that of the last years of the Shah's reign. Al-Murshid lives in isolation from the Iranian people who want to live in a civilized country that sends their children to learn at the best universities in the world, including American and French universities, where a good number of Iranian revolutionary graduates have graduated. They belonged to a moderate movement, the Iran Freedom Movement, which was founded in 1961.

But the Iranian leadership also resembles the rulers of Iraq and Syria and a good chunk of the rulers of Lebanon, which in turn suffers from Iranian hegemony and from being held hostage by an Iranian armed sectarian militia.

Just as the Iraqis do not want to hear Iranian influence in their country, the Iranians themselves object to the disbursement of Iranian oil money to Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza and to Hezbollah in Lebanon. What the Iranians want is for their country to return to a normal state that cares for its people and disposes of its oil income and not on militias whose only concern is the seizure of power like Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

What is happening in Iraq is similar to what is happening in Iran. A corrupt system is no longer acceptable to ordinary citizens. What the leaked documents published by the American website "Interceptor" revealed about Iranian interference in Iraq is not a military secret. Since 2003, when America delivered Iraq on a plate of silver to Iran, there has been an Iranian focus on Iraq to turn it into a colony run from Tehran. This is what Iraqis, including Arab Shiites, reject. What is happening in Iraq is the biggest failure of Iran, which could not go to the end in its project of using sectarian instincts to achieve political goals.

This is what the rulers of Iran do not see, what the rulers of Iraq do not see, and what Bashar al-Assad does not see.

What we are witnessing now is the failure of the Iranian project to change the nature of Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, where what has fallen, as a result of the real popular revolution that has been going on since October 17, is the "Hezbollah era" and nothing else.

What now combines Iran, Iraq, Syria, and even Lebanon is the state of disconnect from the rulers' reality. It is not normal for Iran to live in hostility with America. Ordinary Iranians love America and American values. Iranian youth listen only to American songs and music. It is not normal for the Iraqi to welcome the reign of Adel Abdul Mahdi under Saddam Hussein and that the nostalgia of the elderly people in Iraq can only be extended to the monarchy with the civilized values it represented. It is not normal for Syria to be fragmented while the president does not want to know that the only hope left for his country is to leave, perhaps it will save what can be saved… if there is still something that can be saved.

Finally, it is not normal for Lebanon to suffer from a known economic collapse that is essentially Iran's desire to seize the country to turn it into a card, among others, to negotiate from a position of power with the “Great Satan”. As long as Iran wants to reach the “Great Satan” and make a deal with it, why do it at the expense of Iran itself, as well as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon… and Yemen.

Useful from time to time logic. Logic says that Iran has nothing to do but arms and sectarian militias that spread misery wherever they happen. A project like the Iranian one cannot succeed for a very simple reason. This is confirmed by recent events in Iranian cities. These events confirm that the Iranian project, which has already failed, retaliated against Iran…

The former prime minister, Haider al-Abadi, commented on Wednesday, on the leaks published in the New York Times about Iran's role in Iraq, indicating that his removal from power came by external interference.

Declaration of victory of the revolutions of Iraq and Lebanon and the end of the Iranian regime

- 12 Minutes Have Passed

%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82%D8%

The victory of the Iraq and Lebanon revolutions can be "declared" without a doubt, but the Middle East can be declared a new era and the end of the dark tunnel that Khomeini came to power in Iran more than 40 years ago.

It is no longer possible to imagine the decline of the revolutions of Lebanon and Iraq and the abandonment of the two peoples' dream of ending the system of corruption and sectarian quotas and the domination of the followers of Tehran, after the spark of the protests of the two countries to the Iranian street and the explosion of pent-up anger in most Iranian cities.

If the protests were in one of the three countries, their failure could be likely, whatever the scale of the uprising, because of the cruelty and the dominance of their corrupt regimes. But its explosion in the three countries will prevent it from receding in any of them.

Before the flames of protests spread to the streets of Iran, it was clear that the Iraqi and Lebanese revolutions had drawn a lot of determination from each other, which was evident in the slogans raised in the yards of the two countries.

The momentum of protests in Iraq or Lebanon could not have diminished as the other country's revolution continued. After the outrage spread to the Iranian street, the heartland of the ruins for which they revolted, the uprising in Iraq and Lebanon has become highly unlikely.

The Iranians' protests, sparked by fuel price increases, were caused more deeply by the protests of Iraqis and Lebanese against Iranian influence, which destroyed state institutions in both countries, and is evident in the slogans and cheers raised by protesters in Iranian cities.

Surprisingly, the volume of messages and slogans exchanged, especially between Iraqi and Iranian protesters, where the symbolism of raising a number of Iraqi flags in some Iranian protests cannot be overlooked.

The Iraqi protesters rushed to carry banners and spread messages addressed to the Iranian street in Persian, Arabic and English, assuring them that the Iraqi protesters are against the policies of the Iranian regime.

The letters stressed that the Iraqi protesters stood by the Iranians in their rebellion to get rid of the regime, which ignites the fires in the region and cause suffering and suffering of the people of the region.

Iran's insistence on increasing fuel prices, even after the outbreak of protests and the apparent risk that this could lead to the fall of the regime, reveals the magnitude of the regime's impasse and the severity of comprehensive US sanctions, which cannot be compared to any previous sanctions on any country in the world.

It is logical that the Iranian regime could not enter this dangerous adventure if it were able to avoid it and did not have to swallow this poison.

The harshness of US sanctions is that it is hundreds of times more difficult to circumvent today than it was in the past, because of modern technology and the use of artificial intelligence to detect anyone involved in dealing with Tehran, even indirectly.

This is evident in the fact that all international companies, even those of countries that strongly oppose US sanctions, such as China and Russia, refrain from dealing with the Iranian regime, because they realize that they will face American sanctions.

It is also not about the abundance of oil derivatives, although Iran imports a proportion of them because of the deterioration of its refineries, but it is about the drying up of Tehran's financial resources in light of the almost complete cessation of oil exports and the comprehensive package of stifling US sanctions.

This means that the Iranian authorities are trapped between two of the most bitter problems, and that one has to swallow one. Either the anger of the street or the inability to run the state and pay salaries, including the salaries of the regime's guards from the Revolutionary Guards, the Basij and the army.

US sanctions are not a blow to Iran and it's over! Because her pain doubles every day, but every hour. It has no painkillers or hope that it can be alleviated in the near or even distant future.

The reality now is that the existence of a regime like the Iranian regime is no longer possible, after the world has changed so much in recent years, and there is only one thorn that is difficult for the international community to deal with. God in the earth, all the earth and not only the Arab and Muslim world.

It is no longer possible to turn the page of what was announced by the Iraqi and Lebanese revolution, especially after the spark arrived on the Iranian street. In no way can things be restored to what they were before October 1.

Even if one of these revolutions receded for days or weeks, the script was written and declared and could no longer be pulled from the minds of the uprising. This means that the march, which began to end the dark phase, which began with the abduction of the Iranian revolution 40 years ago, is already over and we are in the throes of reality.

Thus, the elements and pillars of the end of the period of Iranian influence, and even the rise of political Islam as a whole, which would not have spread without Khomeini's rise to power in 1979, were interconnected.

One of the cynical jokes circulated by protesters says that Iran has not succeeded in exporting the revolution for 40 years and that they (the protesters) were able to export the revolution within 40 days.

The successes of the Iraq and Lebanon revolutions and the end of the Iranian regime, as it is now devastated, can be declared with complete certainty, pending the elaboration of translation tracks in the coming weeks or months.

Economists: The Biggest Corruption Exists In The Central Bank And Currency Auction

21st November, 2019

Economists expressed their opinion on the actions of the Iraqi Integrity Commission on fighting corruption and corrupt in the Iraqi state, indicating that it dropped the secondary figures and left the "big", stressing that the largest corruption exists in the central bank and auction currency.

The Iraqi economic expert, Majid al-Suri, in a press statement followed by the "independent" on Wednesday, "The corruption files that have been raised are just simple issues in the large corruption files that concern projects in most state institutions."

He added, “To refer to the reports of the Audit Bureau since 2005 and so far, there is a fixation of very large cases of corruption, especially with regard to the file of electricity and defense deals and the entry of ISIS, and these very large files of corruption shaking thrones, but unfortunately not addressed, because Senior officials are involved and cannot condemn themselves.”

He pointed out that "one of the main causes of corruption is the lack of real institutions in the Iraqi state, as evidenced by the contradiction between the ministries and their decisions, as well as the lack of application of laws, including the law on financial management and public debt, which has not been applied since 2003 and so far."

For his part, said professor of economics at the University of Wasit Ahmed al-Atwani, "the pursuit of the figures involved in corruption is much more important than the follow-up of corruption sites to catch young corrupt," pointing out that "quotas made the fight against corruption difficult."

He added, "The largest corruption exists in the central bank and auction currency, but those files are difficult to disclose because the corrupt have wide ways to circumvent in this framework."

He pointed out that "the size of corruption is estimated at 183 billion dollars, but the failure to follow up on these files due to structural imbalance in anti-corruption bodies."

The professor of political science at the University of Baghdad, Atheer al-Jasser, in a statement :, "The presentation of these files at the moment can not be read only in the context of absorbing public anger, and can not be taken seriously." "If the Palestinian Authority wanted to succeed in absorbing the anger, it would have toppled the big political figures and the president involved in corruption cases."

He pointed out that "there is no longer any confidence between the Iraqi street and governments, and put corruption files in any formula will not only push Iraqis to question what is hidden from those files," pointing out that "the most important question now is who is held accountable?" There is a state of distrust of the entire political class. There is no confidence in its seriousness in the anti-corruption process.”

More useless info from my Shia friend..

Some of us know the word “Marhuba” (I’m sure I will spell those wrong just bear with me).. as “hello” or “Hi” in Arabic.. but my friend taught me a new one tonight.. This is a greeting that has evolved over the year’s in Iraq alone.. The word is “Shlonic”, (again wrong spelling I’m sure) it means “what’s your color?” and it dates back to when there was an epidemic where people were turning blue and they would ask them “what’s your color” to see if they were sick or not.. over time, it has changed to a kind of “How are you doing?” Greeting.. This is a local phrase to Iraqis only, so try it out on your Iraqi friends and watch them be surprised that you know a little of their local specific Arabic language.. lol ;)

Parliament plans to annul and amend 11 thousand decisions issued by the former regime

%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9

10:39 - 21/11/2019

The Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee announced on Thursday that the House of Representatives intends to annul and amend 11 thousand decisions issued by the deposed regime and hindered the process of development and advancement in the country at the judicial, political and economic levels.

A member of the committee, Atwan al-Atwani, said in a statement seen by him, “The parliament seeks to review, amend or cancel 11 thousand decisions issued by (dissolved Revolutionary Command Council) which have hindered the advancement of judicial, political and economic institutions in particular, including the investment process over the past years. Parliament to take its role in making a breakthrough in investment activities in the country to serve the citizens in Baghdad and the provinces.

Al-Atwani added, “The Committee on Economy and Investment continues to urge the government to open up to the Arab, regional and global environment to attract capital and companies and provide jobs and stabilize the agreements that were signed a while ago with countries.” The Iraqi laborer with remunerative salaries is equivalent to what the foreign worker earns in those companies, and that the numbers are more than the expatriates from abroad, except for the expertise needed by those companies.

Atwani revealed the formation of a committee "to review all decisions of the Council of Ministers on the mechanism of investment and activate it and accelerate the implementation of those important and necessary projects and overcome the difficulties that hinder its work."
