These fools should be talking about this the day the demonstrations began. Common sense should have slapped them in the face that ( in their own turn of a phrase ) is a CRISIS. Apparently Saturday is time enough to discuss what amounts to your country on fire 🔥!

God almighty what a dense bunch. Even this, the corrupt tell everyone it’s just not that big a deal.

“ Welcome to Iraq, the country of nothing is that important, just WAIT ! “

Offering up Maliki sounds like a great idea except he has control of the riots in the first place

Truth be told Maliki and the iranians are probably stirring up the crowds to cover up what the're

doing somewhere else to smuggle dollars to iran.   jmho.

Sairoon, Al-Wataniya Suspend Parliament Activities

 BasNews   04/10/2019 - 23:14  Published in Iraq
Sairoon, Al-Wataniya Suspend Parliament Activities

ERBIL - Iraqi powerful Shia cleric and leader of Sairoon Alliance, Muqtada al-Sadr, has called on his alliance's MPs at the Parliament to suspend their activities until the government introduces an agenda that would serve the people of the country.

The decision came amid the nationwide protests, started since Tuesday, against the inefficient public services, unemployment, and corruption.

It also came after Iraq's top Shia authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, argued that "the government must change its approach in dealing with the country's problems," pointing out that lawmakers also bear a heavy responsibility.

Following Sairoon, the al-Wataniya Coalition also decided to suspend their work at the Council of Representatives due to the unrest in the country.

Both blocs have decided to boycott a parliamentary session expected to be held on Saturday, reports said.

Sounds like capitalism in its most obscene, pornographic, wicked and evil form......

The most logical consequence ( besides the average People terrible living conditions and desperation and rage every day)....Those big money shots in cahoots with Political power.....

Could be much better than that....Not easy, I know....But even the toughest going starts with a first (determined) step toward a very clear direction

I couldn't agree more mannie2g  :tiphat:. . .  Implement the citizens demands for God's sake.   There's nothing to discuss.

Bureaucratic fools can't get out of their own stupid way. They've got one sandal nailed to the floor and they're running around in circles.

From their complete and utter lack of inaction, they're incapable of any ACTION.
