Well, my work wants me to interview for a management position. I was not going to as it would not be fair to the people if I took the position and left two weeks later. I am looking by mid October, the latest. If not by then, then on to 2020.

.problem is , its Iraq.   It takes them an hour and a half to watch 60 minutes .

BAGHDAD: The House of Representatives voted in its seventh session of the first legislative term of the second legislative year of the fourth parliamentary session, which was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Council and the presence of 212 deputies on Thursday, rejecting a law Employees of the Ministry of Interior and Defense to the service and finished reading three laws.

The President of the House of Representatives directed the Finance Committee in coordination with the Committee on Security and Defense to find out the numbers of people covered and the estimated amount of them and understanding with the Ministry of Finance to present a proposal to resolve this file in the 2020 budget.
The Presidency of the Council decided to postpone the vote on the draft law of the first amendment to the law of seizure and confiscation of movable and immovable property belonging to the elements of the former regime no. Previous No. (72) of 2017 to submit applications for objection to the confiscation of their movable property and the request to lift the signal of attachment before the committees formed for this purpose.
The council presidency decided to postpone the completion of the presentation of the report of the Committee on Security and Defense in relation to security incidents.
The Committee on Labor, Social Affairs, Migration and Displaced read out a report on the social protection network in Nineveh governorate, which dealt with holding a meeting to host the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs and the advanced cadre and the Inspector General of the Ministry during which it was agreed to wait for all applications submitted to the province of Nineveh until the meeting with all members of the Council of Representatives of the province during the next week to find An appropriate mechanism to ensure the right of equitable distribution on the basis of poverty and population density of the province, as well as the evaluation of requests submitted by deputies on the inclusion of the network and referred to the protection bodies located in the provinces.
The report recommended increasing the staff of the social researcher by a number of not less than 1500 degrees distributed to the governorates and be included in the 2020 budget, in addition to increasing the staff of the inspection department by at least 1000 degrees and following up the easing of the conditions available in the application form for social protection program for the poor families as well as Increase the amount of social assistance and the opening of subcommittees in all areas of Nineveh, in addition to the Committee's commitment to the House of Representatives to provide a quarterly report on the latest developments that work to overcome obstacles to the benefits of this segment covered.
The interventions focused on the importance of adopting the principle of justice and equality away from any discrimination and the importance of a meeting between the Minister of Labor and the deputies of the provinces concerned and increase the number of committees visiting the areas of the Nineveh plain.
In its response to the interventions, the Committee concerned to take into account the observations made by deputies, especially with regard to the staff cadres to complete the needs of the provinces and work hard to include applicants in 2016 and include requests for subsequent years on meals.
During the meeting, which was chaired by Bashir Al-Haddad, Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, the first reading of the proposal of the First Amendment Law of the Public Prosecution Law No. (49) of 2017, submitted by the Legal Committee, in order to preserve the unity of the components of the Supreme Judicial Council, in line with the legal provisions of the Constitution The Supreme Judicial Council administered the affairs of those components and for the purpose of ensuring that the Public Prosecution Service plays its main role and legal duties in initiating public proceedings and monitoring the legitimacy of judgments and decisions issued by courts and tribunals. M overlapping powers and competencies with those granted to other supervisory organs in the country for the purpose of maintaining and restricting judicial titles to members of the public prosecution to suit the provisions of the Constitution and laws in force relating to judicial affairs.
The Council completed the first reading of the draft law on the secretion of land and orchards within the basic design of the city of Baghdad and municipalities and submitted by the committees of agriculture, water, marshes, legal, services and reconstruction. The Council completed the first reading of the proposed amendment law of the Iraqi Commission for Accreditation Law No. (78) for the year 2017, submitted by the committees of economy, investment and finance, for the purpose of disengaging the Iraqi Commission for accreditation from the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control, because of its moral character and financial and administrative independence.
The Council discussed a number of important files, most notably the serious endeavor to address the policies pursued by the government and work to form a parliamentary committee to follow up the report of the events of Tuz Khurmato district in 2017, as well as calling on the government to expedite the submission of the candidate to the Ministry of Education with the importance of paying the dues of farmers and concern in the province of Halabja and fairness 475 officers distributed to military units In terms of salary, this was delayed under many reasons.
The session witnessed the call for investigation on the exclusion of some distinct schools to study the Kurdish language and discuss the treatment of the transfer of powers for education and health and find a remedy with the importance of speeding up the law of the security law and the development of the Iraqi economy
For his part, Turhan Mufti, the government representative in the House of Representatives that the report of the government during the first six months of its formation includes a high percentage of achievement, noting that the report on government achievement during the second six months of the formation of the government is ready now and will be sent soon to the House of Representatives.
Mufti pointed out that the government is working to complete the delivery of peasants' dues regardless of the cultivated area, pointing to the draft law of the provinces of Halabja and Tal Afar are in the House of Representatives that the development of the provinces means a change in the Iraqi map and after the vote by the Council will be treated as a province of Halabja.
On the other hand, the Higher Education Committee called for the government to allocate the degrees of the movement of owners or a percentage of them to the campaign of higher degrees, noting that there is a vigorous follow-up by the Committee to report to it on the demonstrations of the campaign of higher degrees.
The Human Rights Committee also expressed its condemnation of the attack on demonstrators with higher degrees and to find solutions to the demands of the demonstrators as being competent.
Then the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Bashir Haddad Higher Education Commission, security, defense and human rights follow - up demonstrations in higher education and to submit a report in this regard during the next session, strongly rejecting an insult to any Iraqi citizen under any pretext.
Then decide to adjourn the meeting to on Saturday 5 / 10/2019

Former Abrams Tank Commander . . . I have noticed off & on through the years in DV there have been a few other tankers in here. . .  but I've not seen them in here of late.

Know what you mean. I was on M60A1, M60A3, M1,M1IP, and M1AI. Mostly all in Germany at the time and then back at Knox.
