The White House on Wednesday released a memo summarizing President Trump’s controversial July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in which Trump repeatedly urged Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who sat on the board of a Ukrainian gas company during Biden’s term as vice president.

Biden at the time was in the lead for the Democratic nomination to run against Trump in 2020.

Even before the memo was released, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi acceded to mounting calls from fellow Democrats to open a formal impeachment inquiry against the president.

Trump referred to the five-page document as a transcript. But the memo itself cautions that the text is “not a verbatim transcript of a discussion” but rather “the notes and recollections of Situation Room Duty Officers and [National Security Council] policy staff assigned to listen and memorialize the conversation in written form as the conversation takes place.”

Once again Trump has mislead his people... It is not a transcript as he told the public, it is a memo which is someone's written opinion, not what was spoken. Is anyone not surprised he would once again decieve the people to protect his lack of leadership and to hide his lack of comprehension of what it means to be the president.

White House accidentally sends anti-impeachment talking points to Democrats

The White House accidentally sent its anti-impeachment talking points intended for allies in Congress to House Democrats.

On Wednesday morning, the White House emailed its media strategy for defending President Trump against the charge that he tried to bribe or coerce Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate the son of former Vice President Joe Biden in a phone call on July 25. Along with House Republicans who will likely be asked about the impeachment inquiry every time they speak to the media, the president’s team also sent them to some of the Democrats investigating him, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. According to copies of the emails obtained by Yahoo News, about 40 minutes after sending the talking points out, the White House attempted to recall them.

The talking points urge allies to reiterate that Trump made no promises to Zelensky and that he didn’t bring up his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, until his Ukrainian counterpart brought him up.

The White House memo summarizing the conversation, released to the public a few hours before, shows that Trump sought Zelensky’s cooperation as a “favor,” but does not contain a specific offer of a quid pro quo. At the time, much-needed American military aid for Ukraine had been held up for unexplained reasons, reportedly at the request of the White House.

The completeness of the memo cannot be independently verified. The White House referred to it as a transcript, but the document itself states it is “not a verbatim transcript of a discussion” but rather “the notes and recollections of Situation Room Duty Officers and [National Security Council] policy staff assigned to listen and memorialize the conversation in written form as the conversation takes place.” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., told MSNBC that the White House had called Republicans in Congress to look over the memo and go over talking points before its release.

Congress has called for the White House to release the details of a complaint by an unnamed whistleblower in the intelligence community, related to Trump’s dealings with Ukraine, that is the basis of the impeachment investigation announced by Pelosi Tuesday.

So if this is “the notes and recollections of Situation Room Duty Officers and [National Security Council] policy staff assigned to listen and memorialize the conversation in written form as the conversation takes place.” what more is there to present?  If there was an actual recording then they could listen to the recording as many times as needed to get a verbatim printed transcript.  I think what you are getting is the complete phone call.  That Caution Statement is probably at the bottom of every transcript as a guide and for informational purposes.  JMO.  Otherwise they could just authorize and actual audio file and the world could hear what was said.

Just what did he Hide...He Said he was going to Release it and all of the sudden the Dems were Screaming that is not good enough....We Demand the Whistle Blowers Full Complaint......So the Party of Impeachment get a transcripts and there is Nothing There....They call it a Memo and they want the real evidence, the Real Transcript that fits the Impeachment Narrative they laid out on the table the day before with out any Evidence.....Pelosi and the rest just made their point again....They will do anything the save their collective, corrupt asses from Trump Exposing what they have been doing to the American People for decades.

Most calls of this kind are monitored by multiple 3 letter agencies which makes real time notes on the conversation. They are not "edited" ,and you KNOW THAT. To do so would require all those agencies to be working together in an unprecedented way. And most certainly would have been totally exposed by now.

Trump NEVER said, "I need you to do me a favor and investigate Biden".

He did say, ...favor, look into what happened during the 2016 election with respect to Cloudstrike.

Trump knows full well that the Deep State inside the intelligence community is out to destroy him and so this info was placed in the super secure area to protect it from the intelligence community until Trump was ready to release it. 

This began back in 2018 and I suspect that all the documentation proving the actions of the Democratic Socialists Party are in Trump's possession. Heads are going to roll.

I'm sure glad Schiff was able to clear that up and tell us what the president INTENDED to say and instead of what he did say.  A fine example of why nothing ever gets done in congress and why they can't compromise. They never listen to what is said but hear loud and clear what is supposedly intended.  Buffoons each and every one.
