The House of Representatives votes on the Military Industrialization Law and finishes reading four laws

The House of Representatives voted in the fifth session of the first legislative term of the second legislative year of the fourth parliamentary session, which was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Mohamed Halbousi, Speaker of the Council of Representatives on Monday 23/9/2019 and the presence of 190 deputies, on the law He finished reading and discussing four laws.

At the outset of the session, President al-Halbusi on behalf of the Council congratulated and honored the blind reader Ahmed Jarallah of Nineveh province, who won the third place in the global competition to memorize the Koran.

Mr. Qasim al-Araji was sworn in as a member of the House of Representatives after the House agreed to include the paragraph on the agenda.

He congratulated the Speaker of the House of Representatives MP Araji for his membership of the House of Representatives, praising his performance during his tenure as Minister of Interior in the previous government and his dedication to work and his contribution to the processes of liberation and security.

The Council then voted on the draft law of the Military Industrialization Commission, submitted by the Security and Defense Committee, due to the importance of military industries in stabilizing and achieving national security, supporting the national economy, benefiting from national expertise, contributing to the security work of the security and national ministries and contributing to achieving national sovereignty in order to achieve its objectives.

The President of the House of Representatives to expedite the legislation of the proposed law before the end of next month, calling on the relevant committees to address the transitional laws and their suitability with the Constitution and codify regulatory authorities.

During the meeting, which was chaired by Dr. Bashir Haddad, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Council completed the reading of the report and discussion of the draft law of accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on International Road Transport of 1975 and submitted by the committees on foreign relations, services and reconstruction.

The interventions focused on the need to pay attention to the national carrier and work to maximize revenues and reduce exemptions, as well as the importance of holding specialized seminars to assess the feasibility of joining international conventions in the land, sea or railway sector, as well as calling for the legislation of the law for its importance in providing employment opportunities for youth as it contributes to the promotion of transport Through Iraq.

In response to the interventions, the committee confirmed taking into consideration the interventions of ladies and gentlemen MPs on the draft law, which is an important law, noting that it intends to hold joint meetings with parliamentary committees for the purpose of maturing the law.

The Council completed the report and discussed a draft law on the collection of the remuneration of the state-owned land for non-agricultural purposes submitted by the Finance, Agriculture, Water and Marshlands Committees.

The interventions dealt with the need to indicate the reasons for reducing the wage of the parable of state land from neighboring or similar land and the exclusion of land still in the property disputes.
