I do recall on election eve 2016.....the entire media was predicting HRC would win every State....they were also saying the crushing defeat of Trump would set the GOP back 20-30 years.....and the left would reign for that length of time.......I have to believe posters here shared that view....

But Trump won.......and since that his opposition has been on a downward spiral......

Every effort has been make to discredit Trump......with the hope of removing him from office.....all have failed.....Russia....Stormy.........Finances ....Racism......

Then you take the Socialism direction the "squad" has promoted......and how the mostly pathetic group running for the left have adopted much of that......along with a still corrupt DNC......the same DNC that assured Trump the win in 2016 when they rammed HRC down their voters throats......well.....as I see it....not so good for the left.....not a bright future...

Please tell me why I am wrong...

So perhaps instead of the continual Trump bashing.....who do you think is the cream that will rise to the top and lead the left to the promised land?.......and why?

I have been vocal in my support system" rel="">support of our seated President.......I have also been vocal in support system" rel="">support of one candidate for left that I believe is far better than the rest.....

So people......if not Trump.....who do you support system" rel="">support?

Sadly, I doubt the several who bash Trump constantly will have a reply.......and if they had a favorite......how much better would their time be spent working for the good of their chosen candidate......rather than spewing hate and garbage here on DV....

Just my thoughts today......CL

And thank you for your thoughts, CL.....sadly it doesn't look like Tulsi is going to be afforded a chance.  I do look forward to see who eventually rises to the top.  As with all the candidates there are issues I agree with and some I don't.  I'm not interested in the full blown democratic socialism platform, so time will tell.  Mayor Pete and Andrew Yang are interesting and refreshing....Yang is obviously very educated.

Very good Coors.  I recall several years back that you stood by those principles.  I have voiced my opinion for one on the left that I could live with if we had no where else to turn but it would seem her own party refuses to bring about any support for her.  If they can't  support their own how can the people that do back the left support them.  Basically the ones here keep moaning and groaning about Trump but bring nothing to the table to give support to the left ticket, As you so eloquently indicated.  Left or right....stand by your man and give every good quality that you may find that others may also know.  If you want to end Trumps reign then show me the best hand you've got....It could work for ya

Is that right?  As far as moaning and groaning....Donald is the gift that keeps on giving.  He can't stay out of his own way....He's focused on proving Alabama was in the path of Dorian when he should be focused on N.K. missile launches and Iran.  As a Trump supporter why aren't you demanding Donald put his twitter account to bed?  He does these stupid things, then spends the next week defending himself and his supporters just stand there watching it all unfold in front of them.  Sure you all push back on the Left for dogging your choice, when in truth, Trump is the one responsible for your angst.  It's incredible to watch actually.

He has to be the expert and then get it wrong, opening the door to people in Alabama to freak out and cause havoc. And then when everyone says you got it wrong, he doesn't admit the error, he gets out his crayons and tries to fix it... What is he, a 10 year old?  No wonder his polls numbers are collapsing. People have begun to see him for what he really is, a spoiled rich kid without a clue, with no integrity and a continuing path to failure. Thank God he will be gone soon. America will evaporate if he stays around much longer.

‘Fox & Friends’ Host Brian Kilmeade: Trump ‘Never Should Have Said’ Mexico Would Pay for Wall

The Daily Beast By matt.wilstein@thedailybeast.com (Matt Wilstein),The Daily Beast 1 hour 30 minutes ago

Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade admitted on Thursday morning that President Trump “never should have said” Mexico would pay for his border wall, a promise he made constantly during his 2016 campaign.

During a segment about backlash to the Trump administration using Pentagon money to fund the project, Kilmeade first attempted to highlight the hypocrisy of “the people that could not care less, as President Obama’s administration starved the military year after year and watched it rot away.”

But then he pivoted to the “sensationalist headlines” over the move, including one from The Daily Beast that read, “Trump Raids Elementary Schools to Pay for Wall; Mexico Off Hook.”

“He’s right,” Kilmeade said in response to that headline—though it’s unclear who he meant by “he” in that sentence. “The president never should have said Mexico was going to pay for the wall, though he says they’re going to get it in fees at border crossings.”

In an attempt at damage control, Kilmeade’s co-host Steve Doocy said, “I think he did think initially that he would find a way for Mexico to pay for it but as we know, that did not work.”

Just last week, in a radio interview with Kilmeade, President Trump praised the host’s loyalty—compared to some others at the network. “You’re a solid, I used to say, you’re a solid six or maybe seven,” Trump said. “But you’re getting much better. You’re getting great.”

Even his loyal friends over at Fox and Friends are beginning to see the light.

Hurricane Dorian: Residents flee South Carolina coast ahead of storm

John Bacon, Eric Connor and Jordan Culver, USA TODAY

AAGQVfU.img?h=100&w=100&m=6&q=60&u=t&o=tCHARLESTON, S.C. – Parts of historic Market Street were under a foot of water and gusting winds blew rain sideways Thursday as Hurricane Dorian continued its unrelenting advance on the U.S. coast, days after devastating parts of the Bahamas.

Hundreds of thousands of coastal residents of the Carolinas were packing up to flee their homes or were already gone. More than 220,000 homes and businesses across the state already were without power.

The historic storm, which dropped slightly to Category 2 status, was about 65 miles southeast of here at noon Thursday with maximum sustained winds at 110 mph, the National Hurricane Center said.

“It is the water that kills people,” Gov. Henry McMaster said. “Water is the real danger. And it’s clear that we are going to have a lot of water.”

The center warned the storm "continues to lash the coast of the Carolinas" and hurricane conditions are likely over portions of the area later Thursday. The center of the storm was forecast to move closer to the coast of South Carolina through the day and then move near or over the coast of North Carolina overnight and Friday.

Ken Graham, director of the National Hurricane Center in Miami, said Charleston was experiencing wind gusts in excess of 60 mph. Similar gusts were recorded elsewhere in the state and in North Carolina, the hurricane center said.

Hurricane-force winds were extending outward up to 60 miles from the center, and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 195 miles.

"People have to realize it’s not just about the center" of the storm, Graham said. "You have to look at the whole storm.”

Graham said Charleston could face "very dangerous" storm surge of up to 4 feet. Parts of North Carolina could see 7 feet, he said. Anything above 3 feet is considered life-threatening, according to the hurricane center.

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper said the state had opened more than 50 shelters and prepped more than 20 swift water rescue teams. Sixteen aircraft were also at the ready.

"You certainly put first responders at risk and your own life at risk if you decided to stay, particularly on a barrier island," Cooper said. "If they have not evacuated at this point, I'd get to the safest place I possibly could."

Cooper said an 85-year-old man fell to his death from a ladder while preparing his Columbus County home for the storm. At least 20 deaths in the Bahamas have been linked to Dorian.

Federal emergency declarations have been approved for Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. In Virginia, where some areas could see 4 feet of surge, Gov. Ralph Northam also declared an emergency.

In Charleston, at the corner of Calhoun and Washington streets near the state aquarium, John Rivers and daughters, Martha and Caroline, and son, Minott, were raking tree debris out of storm drains.

"The city is doing the best job they can, but they can't be everywhere at every drain, so we're helping them out," Rivers said as the winds and rain carried debris down the street.

Within minutes, a pool of stormwater that stretched across Washington Street was drained away.

"It's a teachable moment for them, and they're also very civic minded," said Rivers. "My family has been here since 1670, so it's time for us to pitch in."

On North Carolina's Outer Banks, Derek Bellinger and his family were taking a walk in Kill Devil Hills, which was under a mandatory evacuation order. Bellinger said they had stockpiled four cases of water, enough food to fill a freezer and 25 gallons of gas to power a generator. But he said they were not leaving — and he was not too worried about Dorian.

"We've done our prep and have been here through many, many storms," Bellinger said. "We're just kind of hunkered down."

Carol Ann Angelos, owner of the beachside restaurant The Jolly Roger for 35 years, said unless she loses power, her restaurant will stay open. She said she expects to serve emergency responders – sandwiches by candlelight if she loses power.

Jolly Roger's windows were boarded up, but the signs said "OPEN."

"I mean, your entire livelihood is here," Angeles said. "You do sandbags, you board up your windows, you tie everything down and you pray that ocean doesn't come over and flood you."

I hope we are not still on this sight when the next president is a Democrat.  This will be dejavu with Trump supporters bashing that sitting president.  I saw it happen with Obama.  You guys get viscous with each other sometimes and really just end up trying to piss each other off and get the last word.  It's a never ending cycle BUT it is entertaining.  No president will ever speak on all subject without making mistakes, inaccurate statements or just flat out lie.  It's what they do.  More humans do it more than you know. It's just more publicized when it's on camera.  JMO.. Carry on.

"he has to be the expert and then get it wrong" ....did you know that meterologists  have a less than 30% accuracy rate when it comes to predicting anything other than sunny or the obvious "its raining/snowing outside" day's. Heck they changed there collective opinion multiple times on Dorian. So another words everyones (including POTUS) opinion is just as valid as the other. So just because you HATE Trump I guess he's not aloud to offer his opinion, Boy how open minded/middle of the road of u. - smh

As a sitting president, he needs to be aware his words can start a reaction. By sticking his mouth in where it doesn't belong, he could have started a panic for his followers in Alabama... Let's face anything he says is taken as gospel by his cult members. Fortunately the folks from the NWS put out their statement. I mean come on, someone even draw a line on the map trying to cover for him. As a follower, aren't you tired of his staff having to cover for him? Either he is completely clueless or he is losing his facilities. It doesn't matter, soon he will be a distant memory and us citizens will have to deal with everything he has broken.

not a "follower" of anyone. But I believe Trump or anyone else can have an opinion, just like yourself "sticking your mouth where it doesn't belong" . "cult members" just like you and the other 50% that feed off/believe everything stated via MSM & the Left? A little hypocritical

Give it up caz… You are backing a sociopath, or at the very least a megalomaniac. He is manipulating the markets with his instability. He is isolating our country from our allies. He is siding with Putin against his own people. He lies countless times a day. He is crippling our military for his own personal trophy. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if he is arrested for treason. Or maybe lose his real estate license... I don't think he is worthy of even that honor.

Did you know that 1500 people a week are dying from opiate related drugs like fentanyl., every week. Did you know that most of the fentanyl is made in China and a large percentage of that is smuggled over our border with Mexico.  This is a huge problem and to give you a visual, that is over 200 people DAILY, OR A JET FULL OF PEOPLE.  Let that sink in, a jet full of people DYING every day of opiate abuse.   How many more people need to die because we do NOT protect our borders.  Republican and Democrat politicians could care less.  They are all probably on some Drug Cartel’s payroll.  Madness, complete lunacy to allow this to continue!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eric Trump dropped the hammer on the Washington Post and the rest of the anti-Trump media Thursday, blowing away the false reporting that Alabama was never in danger from Hurricane Dorian as President Trump had noted earlier.

Hurricane-Dorian-NHC-Advisory-21-0829201

National Hurricane Center warning map dated Thursday, August 29, shows Alabama in the field of expected tropical storm force winds from Hurricane Dorian.

“This pettiness from the @washingtonpost is exactly why the public hates the media. This is a basic graphic from the NHC – I don’t think it’s beyond comprehension that Alabama was in the path had the storm not gone North. Stop the BS. The Washington Post is a joke. #Alabama”

This has been one of the silliest media controversies of the Trump era; one that President Trump is right on but the media will not concede the point. Trump said on Sunday that Alabama was in danger from Dorian when the storm had stalled and was forecast to ride up the Atlantic coast of Florida with an expanded wind field rather than the original forecasts a few days before that had Dorian crossing Florida, entering the Gulf of Mexico and then heading for the Florida Panhandle, Georgia and—Alabama. The media piled on prompting pushback from Trump.

On Wednesday, President Trump showed a NHC map of an initial forecast for Dorian that showed it heading into the Gulf with Alabama in its sights. The Trump NHC cone map had a hand drawn extension of the cone to highlight Alabama being within range.

That sent the media into a frenzy with accusation he broke federal law by “doctoring” a federal weather report. This from the Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang reporters, “President Trump showed a doctored hurricane chart. It’s actually illegal to distribute false U.S. gov’t weather reports.

This from the Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang reporters, “President Trump showed a doctored hurricane chart. It’s actually illegal to distribute false U.S. gov’t weather reports.”

Trump later posted an early Florida government forecast map that showed models taking Dorian into the Gulf and Alabama.

This is the original tweet that the media piled on Trump about, “In addition to Florida – South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated. Looking like one of the largest hurricanes ever. Already category 5. BE CAREFUL! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!

Guess Trump is not as Stupid as the Democratic Socialists Party

Every one of those maps you posted is either from the 28th or 29th of August....4 to 5 days before Donald made his misinformed Alabama claim.  You only continue to prove he made a mistake, which is fine, if he and people like yourself would simply own the mistake and move on.  Now is the time for truth brother.....he will continue to make these kinds of mistakes and then double down on them because he knows TWS nation will back his play at all cost, including the cost of their lost integrity....And the simple reason his knowledge of Dorian was completely outdated was because he was GOLFING when he should have been focused on the task at hand.  Below is a quote of yours from the climate thread arguing the quickness of changing weather, in complete opposition to the weather maps you posted.  All I'm asking is that you try the truth on in this matter, you know it's the right thing to do.

That explanation is as ludicrous as using consensus in a scientific investigation. Whether you call it weather or climate or just a good hair day or a bad hair day it all changes from day-to-day year-to-year decade to decade it's the way of things. And you still haven't told me what we could do to stop it

But the real question here is how can it be possible a simple truck driver is smarter than the scientific consensus community?
