The Ministry of Interior directs the cancellation of all leave and arms permits and issues a new mechanism

BAGHDAD / Obelisk: The parliamentary security and defense committee confirmed on Monday, September 2, 2019, that Interior Minister Yassin al-Yasiri informed her of the withdrawal and cancellation of all leave and possession of weapons and the issuance of a new mechanism.

The committee member Bader Al-Ziadi said that thousands of licenses for possession and carrying of weapons were granted in previous years illegally and in violation of controls, pointing out that Yasiri told the parliamentary security and defense committee to withdraw and cancel all licenses to control weapons in the streets.

He added that the withdrawal and cancellation of licenses will include everyone without exception to reduce the use of illegal weapons, noting that Yasiri has developed a new mechanism that includes the possession of weapons only and for certain categories such as special grades, lawyers and judges.

The Parliamentary Defense Committee has confirmed earlier, its intention to oblige the federal government and the Ministry of Interior to withdraw the leave of possession of weapons for all citizens, while showing that the leave of arms will be granted only to special degrees and are not allowed to carry arms after the end of official working hours.

Outlaws will be the only ones and they will be better equip than the government.
