[When I got into the dinar]...

they were not talking about getting it to a $1...

But as the country developed...

they were like, no, we're going to get it to $3.25

And even with the markets changing,

Do I think they can get it to $3.25?

If they can get into the markets in the west, yes, they can get it too $3.25

I don't see what would be able to stop them...

will they?  I don't know.

But once they do start adding value to their currency remember they said they were going to put a new currency out at the same time that will both coexist equally and one currency would be phased out over a two year process.

They will both gain value equally...

this is coming from the CBI who have the authority to talk about this and implement that authority...

Jihad of drugs

Ibrahim Al-Zubaidi

From a long time we know very well that the movements, parties, militias and militant Salafi groups (very) against the oppressed and misguided donated in the cultivation of cannabis, opium, poppy and cocaine, and mastered their smuggling, sale and promotion in the land of Muslims, Christians and Jews in order to get enough money to buy car bombs and explosives Daggers, swords, poison gas bombs, rockets and silencers that are easy to blow up schools, hospitals, popular markets, mosques, ports and airports, assassinate polytheists who call for moderation, and And demanding justice, democracy, peace, human rights and freedom of religion, and calling for equality between women and men.

This was half a century or more. But the US Treasury Department only learned a few days ago that the Lebanese Hezbollah was getting its funding from the South American drug trade.

As if it had not heard that, since 2012, the Lebanese Bekaa Valley had become the closed kingdom of Hizbullah, which is forbidden to enter even the Lebanese government to enforce its laws prohibiting the cultivation and export of cannabis to the Arab Gulf states, Syria and Iraq. The Bekaa Valley produces up to 1,000 tons of cannabis annually, and 30 to 50 tons of opium used to make heroin.

Hizballah, in agreement with the Assad regime, has succeeded in turning Syria into a large market for the sale of drugs and a re-export terminal to neighboring countries. The cultivation of drugs in Hizbullah areas has doubled in an unprecedented manner in recent years, so that Lebanon has become, globally, the most important source of cultivation and marketing of drugs.

Senior Hezbollah figures and pro-religious religious figures are said to have missed the permissibility of cultivating, exporting and selling drugs, “if not corruption.”

Iran, under the “Hussein” state of the time, Ali Khamenei, as Hassan Nasrallah claims, is one of the most important producers and smugglers of drugs.

It is the largest buyer and exporter of Afghan opium. It is also the world's most dangerous heroin producer, with 95 percent of heroin coming from Iran. Iranian drugs are smuggled into the Gulf states either by sea, from Iranian ports, or through the Iraqi-Syrian border with Saudi Arabia, and across the Yemeni border from the Houthi areas.

Drug cultivation has flourished in Afghanistan since 2001 under the auspices of the Taliban government and Pakistani and Iranian allies. Afghanistan's annual exports of opium and heroin are said to amount to $ 5.2 billion, equivalent to 50 percent of its gross national product.

Afghans themselves admit that the drug trade has raised the standard of living of the people in the areas where it is grown to an unprecedented degree in the world's poorest country.

In addition, the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, al-Nusra, and the Popular Mobilization militias have been accused of relying, in part or in whole, on the drug trade to spend on their “mujahideen” and their activities, because the money they receive from their sleeper cells deployed in the Middle East and Europe is insufficient.

What religion is it that allows people to numb people, destroy their minds, destroy their hearts, and embezzle their money? What mujahideen are those who slaughter the Islamic religion itself, and they know or do not know?

Very GOOD news 👏💰💵💰💵💰

I am confused, LB, and want to recognize I am not knocking your calculations, but want to look at the theory behind them:

So, if in practice you could buy all the dinar in circulation with $35.3 billion dollars and they have $87 billion in reserve, which is a coverage ratio of 2.47 (so, around two and a half times the coverage of the current dinar value). So, if we then take that ratio (i.e., 2.47), then apply it against the current value of the dinar at 1190 to 'guestimate' the current value of the dinar, then that is 1190 dinar divided by the 2.47, to create a 'covered' value of 481 dinars to the dollar? So, the dinar is undervalued through this monetary supply-versus-reserves lens. But, is the calculation (i.e., bigger picture) as easy to understand as that? Do we not have to consider the value of the economy, including the known potentials (current and future mineral, land, industry, GDP, real estate, human, etc.)?

I am no economist, but these types of calculations seem overly simplistic to me.  Or, am I just overthinking this in my little bubble of ignorance? ... And, I am forever blowing bubbles. [No Michael Jackson ripostes, please!].

Aramco attack latest developments .. A list of new targets and sanctions

- One Hour Has Passed

11-2-300x146.jpg

Attacks on Saudi oil installations are still gaining momentum at the regional and international levels, amid fears that they could lead to a new war in the Gulf.

The following is a list of the latest developments:

Khamenei agrees to attack

Iranian officials say they have information that Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has approved the attack on two Saudi Aramco oil facilities, CBS News reported.

The network said that Khamenei approved the attack on the condition that it is carried out in a way that suspects from any Iranian involvement.

It is noteworthy that the Yemeni Houthi group claimed responsibility for the attack, but Washington and Riyadh said the drones were launched from Iran.

The list of targets

, according to the New York Times, the US military response plans include a list of targets in Iran, including Ibadan facility and one of the largest oil refineries and the island "came out" with the largest oil facility in the country.

The list also includes sites from which missiles may have been fired at Saudi Arabia and other Revolutionary Guards bases in southwestern Iran.

"Any strike against Iran is likely to be carried out by bursts of cruise missiles from naval ships," the newspaper said. If Iran responds to the first strike, the planes will strike again. ”

New sanctions

US President Donald Trump announced that he has "many options" to respond to Iran, announcing new sanctions "within 48 hours."

These sanctions add to the unprecedented punitive measures imposed by Washington on Tehran, following Trump's withdrawal in May 2018 from the international agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

"There are a lot of options, there is the final option, there are much fewer options, and we will see," Trump told reporters in Los Angeles. "I say the final option means war."

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described the US decision to impose additional sanctions on Iran as an escalation of the economic war on its citizens, and said that the resolution is illegal economic terrorism and inhuman.

Zarif spoke of the possibility of luring US President Donald Trump to launch a war against Iran.

To the UAE

, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo left Saudi Arabia for the UAE, after meeting in Jeddah with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and discussed with him the need for "the international community to join forces to confront the continuing threat of the Iranian regime."

Pompeo and bin Salman agreed on the need to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its continued aggression and reckless and threatening behavior, according to the statement.

The US Secretary of State said on Twitter that the United States stands with Saudi Arabia and supports its right to defend itself, and Pompeo stressed that what he described as the Iranian regime's behavior threatening will not be tolerated.

Pompeo ended his talks with bin Salman hours after Saudi Arabia offered what it said was evidence that Iran was attacking oil facilities.

In a related context, the UAE announced its accession to the International Alliance for Navigation Security, a day after Saudi Arabia took a similar step.

Iran rejects and shows its strength

For his part, adviser to the Iranian president said that the evidence presented by the Saudi Ministry of Defense is a media and political scandal, and said it proved that it does not have any information, and does not know what it wants.

He added that Riyadh did not answer the most important question, which is: Why did the radars not detect the attack before it happened?

At the same time, Iran announced that it will organize its annual military parade on the 22nd of this month in the Gulf waters.

France's Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Laudrian said the Houthis' account of attacking Saudi Aramco's two Saudi oil facilities was unbelievable.

A French military spokesman said Paris had sent seven experts to Saudi Arabia to investigate the Aramco attacks.

The Houthi group claimed responsibility for the attacks on Saudi oil facilities last Saturday, but Washington and Riyadh said the attacks were from Iran.

Pompeo: We will increase Iran's sanctions to prevent it from supplying missiles to its militias in Lebanon and Iraq

pomp%C4%B1o.jpg

19th September, 2019

The United States wants a peaceful solution in the region, but Iran continues to threaten war, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday, stressing that US sanctions on Tehran's regime would intensify.

"We saw what happened when the world's biggest energy companies were attacked," Pompeo said, referring to last week's attack on Saudi Aramco's oil workers. "We are still working to create an alliance, and we see that the Iranian foreign minister is trying to threaten the world, while the United States is working to find a peaceful solution," he said. "We will increase sanctions on Iran to prevent it from supplying missiles to its militias in Lebanon and Iraq," Pompeo said.

The minister made the remarks during a speech to reporters in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, which he arrived earlier as part of a tour in the region to discuss the repercussions of the attack on Aramco factories, last Saturday.

Trump: Harsh things could happen in the Middle East. Pompeo and bin Salman agree to hold Iran accountable

- 13 Hours Have Passed
%D8%AA%D8%B1%D9%85%D8%A8-3-300x170.jpg

US President Donald Trump has said that there may be a lot of harsh or perhaps non-cruel things in the Middle East.

Trump said it was very easy to make one phone call to respond to the Saudi attacks, but not necessary today, tomorrow or within two weeks.

Trump said earlier that reluctance to strike Iran so far was "a sign of our strength," and that an attack was easy, noting that his administration was considering several options for dealing with Iran.

He announced that he had ordered Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin to "intensify the sanctions" imposed on Iran, and later said that his administration would announce details of these additional sanctions on Iran in the next 48 hours.

On the other hand, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's office said that Johnson discussed the attack on Aramco in a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump yesterday. Allowing it to have a nuclear weapon. ”

Agreement on accounting

andin the same context, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman agreed that " the Iranian regime," against the background of the attack , which targeted two facilities belonging to the oil company Saudi Aramco earlier this week accounting.

Pompeo and bin Salman agreed that "this unacceptable and unprecedented attack threatens not only Saudi national security, but also endangers the lives of American citizens living and working in Saudi Arabia, as well as global energy supplies in general," the State Department said in a statement.

The US minister and the Saudi crown prince also discussed "the need for the international community to unite to confront the threat of the Iranian regime," and agreed on "the need to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its aggressive, reckless and threatening behavior."

The US secretary of state is currently on a Gulf tour that will take him to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates against the backdrop of tension with Iran.

Saudi evidence

On the other hand, the Saudi Ministry of Defense presented what it said was evidence of an Iranian role in the attack on Saudi oil installations last Saturday.

Saudi Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said in a press conference yesterday that the available data show the impossibility of launching the attack from Yemen, in response to the Yemeni Houthi group claimed responsibility for the attack.

The spokesman pointed out that the investigation indicated that the attack on Aramco came from the north, and that it was "undoubtedly" sponsored by Iran, and used Iranian weapons and technology, he said.

He added that the range of movement of the attacking drones was from north to south, but pointed to the continued investigation to determine the exact location of the attack.

The attack, which targeted Aramco factories in Abqaiq and Khurais, was carried out using 18 drones and seven cruise missiles, including three missiles , the spokesman said.

The attack was carried out with qualitative capabilities, and the attack aircraft used an advanced positioning system, as well as precision-guided missiles.

Video playback

and added that among the weapons used in the attack aircraft from the march of Iranian - made "Delta Wing", and Iranian missiles model "model O Ali."

The Saudi spokesman said the attack on Aramco was a "systematic" method for destroying Saudi infrastructure.

Overwhelming response and 200 frigates

In return, Tehran threatened to "overwhelmingly" respond to any military strike against it. That they are behind the attacks.

The Islamic Republic News Agency said that Tehran also stressed in the letter that "in the event of any aggression against Iran, this move will receive an immediate response from Iran, and the response will not be confined to the source."

"We are fully prepared to surprise the aggressors with an overwhelming and comprehensive response to any sinful acts," Ali Shamkhani, secretary general of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, was quoted as saying by the Etemad newspaper.

In the midst of these tensions, Iran Front Page quoted military sources as saying that Iran will organize its annual military parade on September 22 in the Gulf waters with the participation of 200 frigates of the Revolutionary Guards. The parade commemorates the start of the Iran-Iraq war in 1980.

Thanks for your input bkeiller,

Let me start with this. I’m not an economist either, I’m a computer hardware engineer who likes to read and research.

To calculate the value of a currency there is many different variables involved. Like you mentioned, value of the economy, GDP, Oil, Gas, minerals, industrial sector, real state, private sector, agricultural sector.

The dinar is totally undervalued, Iraq is under exchange control and is using the dollar as an anchor of the economy. Closed Economy.

I just did basic calculations dividing reserves by monetary mass in local currency

They can cover the monetary mass in local currency by 247%

I don’t think you are in a little bubble of ignorance, I think you are correct.

Agreed LB which is why like the calculations say the dinar would be valued at a minimum of $2.47 and when you add in all of those other factors then if Iraq wants to RI to $3.22-$3.25 they should have no issue hitting that value or as they like to say value from the old glory days!

Agreed LB which is why like the calculations say the dinar would be valued at a minimum of $2.47 and when you add in all of those other factors then if Iraq wants to RI to $3.22-$3.25 they should have no issue hitting that value or as they like to say value from the old glory days!

I am all good with a value range of $2.47 to $3.25 USD per 1 IQD, no matter how it is calculated :bravo:

Show me 'da :bagofmoney:, like yesterday ...........................

Go RV asap

Go $1:1+

Thanks for your feedback and input, LB. That we are agreed upon, that the dinar is and has been seriously undervalued, whether at 2.5 times or highly likely more. It sure is going to be a great day for us all when that value is realized. To be honest, even at 1 cent to a dinar, I will be doing a little dance. If more, I'd feel like breakdancing ( ... any Coming to America fans?).
