Let's hope that doesn't happen.  Can't  believe China and Slicon Valley  are putting this in practice.  What I do should not effect where I eat, drive, travel or live.  I would seriously consider a new revolution.

Agreed, cranman...

Here in Italy they keep  putting limits on the amount of money one can withdraw from banks ( from their own accts. mind you) before one is red-flagged ( by a bank-employee) to our local IRS ..Etc...

Right now the limit is  ( if I recall well) 3,000 euros or even less..Amount keeps getting lowered...Once it used to be 10k, then 5k...Now it's 3k or lower...You should be supposed to explain things...Bah......

Recently Mr.Salvini ( ex minister of interiors and main right-wing politician currently) launched the ( absurd) idea of making EVERYTHING one has inside their safes in banks, totally public ( he said..."in order to avoid potential crimes" etc)....

People started rallying against him ( for the very 1st time, I believe) for  such an indecent / pornographic law proposal...Obviously...He then stopped talking about this more than evident BS which would have had him totally destroyed  politically ( and rightly so....let alone the fact  the man is a fascist)

Strange Country this one of mine.......

Of course.... In the need of larger amounts for important transactions ( ie. purchasing a house, apt etc) you're supposed to have all the docs proving such so you should have zero problems.....Also you need to go to the Notary here in Italy for buying/ selling property and also for buying/ selling cars and motorcycles .....aLL OF THAT BEING IT NEW OR USED, MIND YOU

Notaries in Italy have the highest fees in the world I believe...It's a sort of authorized theft...1,000's of euros for many types of operations......It's a shame....
