BAGHDAD (Reuters)
- A representative of the State of Law Coalition, Mansour al-Baiji, announced on Thursday that we will work to unify the salaries of all state employees to achieve justice among all.
"There is a trend by most members of the House of Representatives to unify the salaries of all state employees, taking into account the school certificate of the law for the fairness of all employees," said Baiji in a statement received by Mawazine News.
"There is a great disparity between the salaries of state employees, which differ from one ministry to another," he said. "There are very high salaries and very few salaries for another ministry, so it does not provide a simple living for the employee.
Al-Baiji pointed out that "all state employees are equal in their rights and duties, so there must be equity for them because it is not reasonable for some ministries to pay very high salaries and other ministries will meet with simple salaries not exceeding 300,000 dinars."
He pointed out that "the appeals and demands are very many by the oppressed segment of the state employees suffer this injustice in the salary scale, so we will work hard to approve the new salary scale in order to provide justice to all and lift injustice and injustice from all employees of the state."
