Al-Fateh called for an emergency session to stand against US congressional interference with the Iraqi people, according to Article 8 of the constitution, noting that the stability and destabilization of Iraq's security is not the duty of Congress but the duty of the Iraqi parliament.

Alawi said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "the draft of the non-destabilization of Iraq before the US Congress to vote is not an American affair, but an Iraqi internal matter and contrary to article 8 of the Iraqi constitution."

He called on the Iraqi Council of Representatives to "hold an emergency meeting to stand against the law of the US Congress because it is a violation of national sovereignty," noting that "the issuance of such a law behind the US agendas to liquidate all national figures who fought and urged and prevent any external interference in the internal affairs, We have definite information about the preparation of large lists of names of those national figures. "

"We regret the silence of the government, the Iraqi judiciary and the president as the protector of the constitution so far on the blatant congressional project," he said. Ending / 25

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The US administration has received a green light from the central government to impose sanctions against political figures, the political analyst said on Monday, noting that the United States is taking a mandate from Iraq and acting as it sees fit because of the government's silence on its actions. "The measures taken by the United States against Iraq and its political and partisan figures are aimed at undermining Iraq's sovereignty and preparing it as an American state and imposing its guardianship over it," al-Ardawi said in a press statement. He added that "the source of the US towards Iraq is an attack on Iraqi sovereignty, and is offset by a weak government position, especially after the government and the Central Bank of the US Treasury's decision to impose sanctions on four Iraqi personalities," noting that "the government's intention to withdraw the 30th Brigade of the Nineveh Plain, , Where some points of US law (preventing the destabilization of Iraq) with the Diwani order issued by the government on the popular mobilization and resistance factions. Al-Maliki, Fayyad and Dagger names on US sanctions list soon
[Follow-up]
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senior political figures will be shaken by new US sanctions, including the leader of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki and the head of the popular rally, Falih al-Fayadh, as well as the leader of the Arab project in Iraq Khamis al-Khanjar, according to informed sources.

The newspaper "Al-Arab" London, quoted political sources in Baghdad, said in a press statement today, July 29, 2019, that "the new Washington sanctions will involve Iraqi political figures surrounded by the charges of financial and administrative corruption caused great destruction of the state, including the expected list in addition to Maliki Faleh Fayadh, and Khamis Dagger. "

The sources pointed out that "there is a new batch of Iraqi personalities, will announce the inclusion of the sanctions of the US Treasury, as happened to the former governor of Salah al-Din Ahmad al-Jubouri (Abu Mazen) and the former governor of Nineveh, Nawfal al-Akoub, and leader of the popular crowd Ryan Chaldean.

The Iraqi government's response to the sanctions on these four figures would encourage the United States to issue lists of other figures, and the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayyad, may be at the top of a list of new sanctions to be issued by the US Treasury Department.

"The name of the businessman, Khamis Al-Khanjar, has already been put on the new list, but efforts are continuing to correct it."

For his part, did not rule out a political observer that Maliki has put his money and property outside the country, where sanctions will affect only at the level of financial transactions through the Central Bank of Iraq if the US authorities concerned to monitor his work.

He pointed out that "the American punishment in the first list included four of those involved directly in the financial corruption related to the funds pumped for the reconstruction of cities hit by the devastation after the occupation of Mosul, which is the suspicions about the responsibility of al-Maliki directly on him when he was prime minister."

According to the sources, "Maliki expressed concern about the inclusion of US sanctions, when he considered that US reports pointing to suspicious financial links between him and US officers back to the era of his second term, falls within the circle of political targeting and pave the way for the inclusion of sanctions.

"The repeated publication of US reports of accusations against him of corruption, in close timing, is aimed at implicating Iraqi national figures with the US sanctions file, which appears to be based on the principle of monopoly of power and the imposition of international tutelage on governments and independent political figures."

Maliki also described US corruption charges against him as "false allegations," including "overt political targeting" and not based on any official source or legal status.

The US DailyPast published earlier the results of an investigation into the large financial commissions received by Nuri al-Maliki, personally and some of his closest aides, to facilitate the acquisition of an American company managed by retired General Frank Helmick, preferential contracts in four military sites in the country .

It is easier to condemn him if they did

BAGHDAD ( Reuters) - Former Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, who heads a 25-member Iraqi parliament, fears his name appears on the US sanctions list, which recently included four Iraqi figures for links to Iran's influence in the country and its involvement in human rights abuses and involvement. In corruption cases.

The expected list includes Maliki, along with Maliki, leading figures in Iraq, such as Faleh al-Fayadh, head of the popular crowd, and controversial Sunni politician Khamis al-Khanjar.

Observers in Baghdad agree that al-Maliki can be convicted of a wide range of issues, most of which are due to his second term in office, between 2010 and 2014, especially after the departure of US troops from Iraq in 2011, and the vacuum of the internal arena of any sergeant.

He accused Maliki of using the state's power to pursue his political rivals, including Shi'ites, Sunnis and Kurds. He is also blamed for the disappearance of hundreds of billions of dollars in revenues from the sale of the country's oil during his eight years.

But the biggest accusation that haunts al-Maliki is his direct responsibility for the fall of about one-third of Iraq's territory by elements of an organization calling for the summer of 2014 and the associated Yazid minority in Sinjar, the shedding of Turkoman blood in Tal Afar, the displacement of millions of Sunni residents, Which hit the infrastructure and houses of the population in three Iraqi provinces, both during the occupation period by the preacher, or in the process of liberation.

Al-Maliki publicly expressed his fears when he considered that US reports of suspicious financial links with US officers dating back to his second term were within the realm of political targeting and paved the way for sanctions.

Maliki believes that the repeated publication of US reports accusing him of corruption, "at close times," aims to "implicate Iraqi national figures with the file of US sanctions, which appear to be based on the principle of monopoly of power and the imposition of international tutelage on independent governments and political figures."

Maliki described US corruption charges against him as "false allegations", including "politically targeted targeting and not based on any official source or legal status."

The US DailyPast reported on Wednesday the results of an investigation into large financial commissions received by Maliki personally and some of his closest aides to facilitate the acquisition of a US company run by retired general Frank Helmick, preferential contracts at four military sites in the country.

Maliki's relationship with General Helmick flourished after the US military withdrew from Iraq in 2011, Maliki said, adding that Maliki used his influence to prevent any other company from competing with Soci, whose friend is led by retired US general Frank Helmick.

Faleh al-Fayadh: the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority and has financial ties with Iran

Faleh al-Fayadh : the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority and has financial ties with Iran

Political sources in Baghdad are talking about a "new batch of Iraqi personalities" who will announce their inclusion in US Treasury sanctions, as happened to the former governor of Salahuddin Ahmed al-Jubouri Abu Mazen, the former governor of Nineveh and the commander of the network force in the popular crowd Ryan Chaldean .

The Iraqi government's response to sanctions on these four figures would encourage the United States to issue lists of other figures, the sources said.

The sources revealed that the head of the Popular Lobby, Faleh al-Fayyad, who is the national security adviser in the government of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, may be at the top of a list of new sanctions, issued by the US Treasury Department.

The name of the controversial Sunni businessman, Khamis Khanjar, has already been put on the new list, but efforts are continuing to correct the issue.

If Chaldean and Abu Mazen can resort to US sanctions because of the lack of evidence linking them to any known bank accounts, it would be very different with Maliki, Fayyad and Dagger, as they each have an international financial transaction network and large balances in banks inside and outside the country, As well as the restrictions of movement and political embarrassment, which result from this type of punishment.

An Iraqi political observer did not rule out that Maliki had put his money and property in the care of the Iranian regime and Hezbollah. Therefore sanctions can only affect the level of its financial transactions through the Central Bank of Iraq if the US authorities concerned to monitor his work.

Khamis Al-Khanjar: A businessman and the head of the Arab project accused of using money in political operations

Khamis Al-Khanjar : A businessman and the head of the Arab project accused of using money in political operations

Although Maliki has become an influence on the political process in the past, he is still able to influence the work of the state in a hidden way through his followers, which requires the uprooting, as happened to the former Governor of the Central Bank of the past and effort, perseverance and scrutiny, which is not the Iraqi government able to accomplish For now. The inclusion of his name on the list of US sanctions opens the door in hopes of stopping the work of one of the largest corruption machines in Iraq.

The observer predicted in a statement to "Arabs" that this happens at any moment. This is because the US punishment in the first list included four of those directly involved in financial corruption related to the funds pumped for the reconstruction of the devastated cities after the occupation of Mosul, which is the subject of suspicions about Maliki's direct responsibility for him on the day as prime minister. So the rope seems closer to Maliki's neck at this time than ever before.

"Maliki has already fled to Iran in search of protection, having felt that things could turn against him and be brought to court. This happened immediately after the fall of Mosul, but the terrorist organization urged. A scenario that could be repeated now if a US decision is issued against him. "

Regardless of his political position, Maliki is still the biggest symbol of financial and administrative corruption in Iraq, not only because he has been enriched illegally but also because he has enacted laws that put the Iraqi economy between the jaws of the corruption machine indefinitely.

"The economic bodies and the banks of parties and political figures, has become the biggest smuggler of the currency, as well as stealing money and salaries of Iraqis," he said, adding: "Certainly do not mean everyone with regard to banks, although most of them as well," he said.

I guess we will see how deep the corruption is now, will Iraq take care of its corrupt officials or suffer the wrath of Trump.

These bungling fools had better tread lightly in the dealings with Iran because I don’t think Trump would hesitate one second to put sanctions right back on Iraq...

BAGHDAD (AP) - US Ambassador Matthew Tueller revealed his priorities during his tenure as the country's ambassador to Iraq on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

In a meeting with reporters, Toller said his priority was "to prevent a resurgence in the region," followed by "helping Iraq build strong institutions."

"It also includes restoring diversity to the components of Iraq, which he tried to urge to eliminate, and also help Iraq achieve the economic prosperity it had, as well as improving the strong relations between the United States and Iraq."

US Ambassador to Baghdad Matthew Tueller commented on his country's imposition of sanctions on four Iraqi political figures recently.

"Sanctions come within a law in Congress," Tuiler said at a roundtable with media. "It gives him the right to impose sanctions on foreign figures that threaten the stability of his country."

"These powers have been used several times in more than one country and not just Iraq," he said. "The actions of Iraqi political figures who have been sanctioned threaten Iraq and weaken it."

"The US administration's decision on sanctions against Iraqi figures supports and strengthens Iraq's sovereignty. They are defying Iraqi law," he said.

US Ambassador Matthew Tueller confirmed his country's inclusion of its two terrorist groups, Hezbollah and Iraqi al-Shabab, on its terrorism list.

"Washington has classified Hezbollah and al-Najiba Brigades on the terrorism list for their association with terrorist groups," said Twiler, speaking at a roundtable with media coverage.

The US ambassador added that "the points of American interest in building an Iraq controlled by the government away from armed groups."

Tuiler said his work in the country was based on five basic priorities: first, to prevent the re-emergence of an advocacy organization.

"There are five main priorities for my work in Iraq, first of all to help prevent the resurgence of a nascent organization," said Matthew Toiler.

"The second priority is to help Iraq strengthen the institutions that are able to maintain the sovereignty of the country, and the third is to restore diversity in Iraq, especially after suffering accompanied by the control of an advocacy organization."

"The fourth priority in my work involves helping Iraq achieve economic stability so that it can play a role in stabilizing the region and building relations between America and Baghdad to develop it in various fields," he said.

As Tuiler, that the presence of troops in Iraq, is at the request of the Iraqi authorities and leaders.

"The Iraqi leaders always confirm to us the need for our US forces to be present in the country, to ensure that there is no return of an organization that is calling and helping Iraq to re-train and organize its forces," Matthew said.

He continued: "Our presence is part of the international agreement and asked the Iraqi government, and even if that changes, our troops will remain in Iraq."

The US ambassador to Iraq commented on Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi's decision on popular mobilization and the bombing of the Armeri camp.

"There were a lot of accusations against the United States about the bombing of Camp Armerie, but we denied it until the incident happened," Matthew Tueller said.
