The Speaker of the Parliament, Mohamed Halboussi, on Thursday, an emergency meeting on the fires of sulfur in the province of Nineveh province. 
A parliamentary source, told / Mawazin News /, "The President of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbousi addressed during the meeting of the Council held today, the Security and Defense Committee to hold an emergency meeting with the relevant ministries." 
The source added that "the meeting on the fires of sulfur Mashraq in Nineveh province." 
The government media cell reported that the fire, which was found yesterday, was "completely controlled" in the weeds, bushes and grasses adjacent to the site of the public company of "sulfur Al-Mashraq" in the province of Nineveh in northern Iraq. 
Civil defense and other government bodies were extinguished, but that was very costly. One of the members of the Civil Defense was killed and eight others were lightly injured.
Dozens of civilians were hit by gas emissions from the fire.

The Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi had sent, yesterday evening, the name of the candidate of education to parliament.

Al-Kaabi said during his visit to the headquarters of the Integrity Commission and his meeting with its president and the head of the Federal Audit Bureau, Salah Nuri Khalaf, according to a press statement issued by Mawazine News. "The judicial authorities should expedite the resolution of investigative cases of senior officials, Integrity "for a while, stressing" the need to open the files of corruption closed in previous periods, which relate to a number of former and current officials, as well as the follow-up and audit files of those who are the authority and those who have the constraints of investigation and not after leaving them. "
He stressed the importance of impartiality to scrutinize the names of candidates for special grades and other positions, away from dictates or political pressures or other parties. In parallel with seeking to put clerics in the Federal Supreme Court, the House of Representatives is preparing to vote on a law that would reduce the salaries of court employees," expert Mohamed Sharif told Mawazine News. 
He added Sharif, "The political blocs are trying through this reduction pressure on the judiciary to put it under its mercy sometimes by imposing non-judges in the highest Iraqi court, and others through the subsistence of junior staff." 
He pointed out that "the need to stop this attack, and maintain the independence of the judiciary and not affect in any way to the judicial or functional staff."

A parliamentary source told Mawazine News that "the House of Representatives ended its session today, the first reading of the draft law to join the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on the Protection of Motherhood No. (183) for the year 2000." 
He added that "the Council also completed the first reading of the draft law on the ratification of the Protocol in 2014 supplementing the Convention on Forced Labor No. 29 of 1930".

The source told "news" that "20 deputies voted for the candidate of the Ministry of Education Zahida al-Obeidi out of 180 deputies attended the session."
