Butifldrm
12/19 2019 12:05 Views 28 Section: Iraq The United Nations calls on Washington to lift the restrictions imposed on Iranian diplomats Baghdad / Obelisk: The United Nations General Assembly in a resolution called on Wednesday, the United States, which hosts the headquarters of the United Nations, to lift the restrictions imposed on Iranian diplomats, also condemning Washington not to grant visas to Russian diplomats. Since last summer, Iranian diplomats have been subject to restrictions imposed by Washington on their movements when they visit the United States, and they are largely obligated to remain in the area surrounding the United Nations headquarters in New York, the Iranian mission headquarters or the ambassador's house. The UN resolution proposed by Cyprus on behalf of Bulgaria, Canada, Costa Rica and Ivory Coast was unanimously approved without the need to put it to a vote. Unlike Security Council resolutions, General Assembly resolutions are not binding but have political influence. Diplomats reported that the resolution does not mention specific countries by name, but it mainly refers to restrictions imposed on Iran in addition to the refusal to grant visas to the Russian delegation during the General Assembly meeting last September. The resolution said that the United Nations "urges the host country to remove all remaining travel restrictions imposed on the personnel of some missions." He added that the United Nations "takes seriously" travel restrictions and complaints by "two missions" that they say are being held back from carrying out their work. yota691
Rouhani calls on Islamic countries to rely on their national currencies for trade and proposes the establishment of an investment fund to suppor t the issuance of a common digital currency and modern technology initiatives and hold a summit with the Emir of Qatar - PUBLISHED ON DECEMBER 19, 2019 Views: 47 Ankara - Tehran - Anatolia - DPA - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on Islamic countries to adopt their national currency in intra-trade, indicating that the economic independence of these countries cannot be achieved by relying on the dollar. This came, in a speech to him during a session on development and its challenges, on the sidelines of the Islamic Summit in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Rouhani stressed the importance of Islamic countries relying on their national currencies for inter-trade, proposing the creation of a joint investment fund to support the issuance of a common digital currency, and new technology initiatives. He pointed out that the leaders of Islamic countries bear historical responsibilities, stressing the need to create cooperation between these countries, which he said possesses many capabilities for that. Rouhani also stressed the need for Islamic countries to cooperate in the fields of banking, insurance and money, noting that the Islamic world has made progress in the field of modern technology. He continued: "We can take steps to find a common digital currency with the contribution of our central banks ... We can take advantage of the opportunities of digital currencies, and thus avoid speculation and financial fluctuations." Earlier Thursday, the Kuala Lumpur Summit began in Malaysia, with the participation of 5 countries, including Turkey, and will continue until December 21. According to previous statements of Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, 450 leaders, intellectuals and intellectuals from the Islamic world will participate in the summit. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad held talks on Thursday on the sidelines of a mini-Islamic summit hosted by Malaysia. And the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted Rouhani as saying that "the relations between Tehran and Doha are constantly developing, and we have stood and stood on the side of the State of Qatar, and we condemn any pressures or restrictions imposed on this country." He stressed that "the two countries can work closely in various fields," adding that Iran and Qatar should seize the opportunity to develop economic and trade relations. Noting that Tehran and Doha can meet many of each other's needs in the current economic situation, Rouhani said: “We can cooperate in the area of joint investments.” The Iranian Agency stated that the Emir of Qatar expressed his happiness for the meeting with the Iranian President, and said that "the relations between the two countries are special relations, and there should be more relations and coordination between the two countries in view of the special conditions in the region." Sheikh Tamim praised Iran's position on the boycott measures imposed on Qatar, and said: “We value Iran's position and we will not forget that.” On Thursday morning, a mini-Islamic summit was launched in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, called by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad to discuss a new strategy to deal with the issues facing the Islamic world. It is noteworthy that the relations between Iran and Qatar were strengthened after the announcement of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE to cut ties with Doha in mid-2017 and accuse it of supporting terrorism. After the announcement, Turkey, as well as Iran, rushed to provide a continuous supply of food and other supplies to Doha. Qatar vehemently denies the charges. 4

Tensions have escalated between the United States and Iran since Washington withdrew from Iran's nuclear deal in May 2018. But after a heated session of the Security Council on the commitment to the agreement signed in 2015 between world powers and Iran, Kraft walked to its Iranian counterpart Majeed Takht Rwandi and spoke to him. During his statement to the council, Rwangi had spoken of a two-year-old girl who said that she died in June from bullous epidermolosis, a rare disease, and he blamed US sanctions for her death. Ruwangi. Ali Reza Mir Yousfi, a spokesman for Iran's mission to the United Nations, said they had "only a short conversation about those with bullous epidermolosis affected by the sanctions." He wrote on Twitter: "The orientation of any diplomat in the United Nations towards others or having a short conversation with him at headquarters does not exceed the limits of the ordinary." But these direct interactions between Iranian and American officials have been very rare in recent years.

yota691
Video: Iranian Boats Surrounded An American Aircraft Carrier On December 29, 2019 (The Independent) .. A few days ago, commercial photos taken by a commercial satellite showed that several small objects were sailing near the US aircraft carrier "USS Abraham Lincoln" while crossing the Strait of Hormuz, which raised several questions, and finally prompted the Pentagon to confess. The US Navy, in response to a question sent to it by The War Zone, acknowledged, via e-mail, that "these bodies are 18 warships from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, who were provoking the aircraft carrier and the ships accompanying it, while crossing the strait." A report of the American website said, "This scene indicates the great risks that every transit in the region creates, and the possibility of serious friction causing the explosion of conditions in the region." He also described "what Tehran is doing as a" successful challenge "to symbolize US military hegemony, despite the Pentagon's attempt to downplay the importance of what is going on." Most of the Iranian boats were traveling regularly behind the aircraft carrier, which was accompanied by the destroyer "USS Faragot", which was at the front, and the cruiser "USS Light Gulf", at the rear. The report notes that "the Iranian Revolutionary Guard navy possesses a wide range of speed boats and other small warships, some of which are equipped with anti-ship missiles, as well as semi-submarines capable of carrying mines and torpedoes." The United States had accused the Iranian Revolutionary Guard of using some of its small boats to launch a number of attacks on commercial oil tankers earlier this year.
