The expert Mohammed Sharif, told / Mawazin News, "The consideration of the minutes of the schedule of the session on Tuesday 24/6/2019, published on the website of the House of Representatives shows the extent of differences on the law of the Federal Supreme Court."
He added that Sharif, "that the session allocated part of them to discuss the controversial bill amid a wide divergence of views, which called the Chairman of the meeting to continue talks on it without completing the second reading."
He pointed out that "the most prominent of the record contained a paragraph that reinforced our previous concerns of the law, and quote it as follows (requiring that the special provisions and decisions obtain the approval of three quarters of Islamic jurisprudents in the court to ensure that the rules of Islam are not opposed).
Al-Sherif said that "this quote shows the extent of the Council's insistence on the inclusion of clerics in the Federal Supreme Court, not only as members contrary to the judicial nature stipulated in Article 92 (I) of the Constitution, they are preferred to the judges through the need to issue verdicts With the approval of three-quarters of jurists. "
He explained that "the decision, even if issued by a majority of the members of the Court, some of whom are not judges, must be approved by three quarters of jurists to pass."
