The protesters are doing a real good job but need to place a few more burning tires in front of the parliament doors to keep them in until they vote an pass some of these demands....
I’m thinking all these blocks, postponing an soon BS this bunch of incompetent crooks has been running on the citizens has about run its course.
These demonstrations are a lot different from previous protest because there are people from all ethnic groups and locations rather than just the Sadrists protesting.

Iraq: Days of conspiracy, corruption and revolutionary childhood
Everyone is waiting for the «reference» responsible behavior in no less than what it did on the heightened danger of «IS» (AFP)

At the end of March, President Nabih Berri visited Iraq. Before his departure, a meeting was held, which remained away from the media, between him and the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, during which they discussed a role that the President of the Council can play with Iraqi forces and personalities in general, and «Pillars of the Shiite House», as the Iraqis like to describe their forces Political with sectarian rules.

Based on his pivotal role in the regional file, especially the Iraqi one, Mr. Nasrallah briefed Berri on important and sensitive details about the Iraqi political reality and the level of intersections with the situation in the region. The two men agreed on a key point, based on the experience of Lebanon, internal political ones or in relation to the relationship with the neighbors and the countries of the region. They agreed on the importance of benefiting from the experience of reconciliation and alliance between Amal movement and Hezbollah, and calling on Iraqis, especially the Shiite forces, to deal with it as a model to be taken to prevent sharp divisions and destructive differences, and to maintain all the diversity and special distinction, as well as benefit from the experience of this bilateral in dealing With the rest of the political components in the country, especially since Iraq is living today conditions similar to the Lebanese divisions, against the background of sectarian and sectarian.
After his return to Beirut, Berri was no less worried, after touching the level of strong tension between the Shiite political forces, which hides the divisions and differences that need intensive and rapid treatment. He expressed his readiness to play any possible role to help reconcile the adversaries, counting on a good knowledge of the Iraqi situation as a result of previous discussions with quite a few Iraqi officials, in addition to his margins that allow him to play a role with the countries of the region, especially Iran.
What is happening today in Iraq is reminiscent of the image of concern that was formed by President Berri, which is already in the hands of Hezbollah, and the majority of countries and forces of the axis of resistance in the region, especially as Iraq has a strategic position in the confrontation with the axis led by America, Saudi Arabia and Israel. Adding to this concern is the preoccupation of Iraqi leaders, their calculations and their competition for power and positions of influence in the country, while consensus is rarely met to face political, economic and social challenges.
The situation today seems to be "very sensitive" and foreshadows "harsh prospects if there is no mechanism to organize disputes in the next few days, where everyone behaves as a truce linked to the 40th anniversary of Imam Hussein, which turns into a public event in Iraq." This is what those directly involved in the ongoing communications say. They agree with the impartial assessment that "the Shiite forces in particular, are not acting with great responsibility at this stage, and do not realize that they are now the governing body in Iraq or the most influential, and that the differences between them would open the door to chaos like war Eligibility, Iraqis repeat the mistakes of what is in the countries of the Arab region, and often ends without a winner, but be the only beneficiary from outside the circle of competitors, regardless of any accusation of this party or that of cooperation with the outside. This chaos will harm all Iraqis, not just the Shiites, especially as the forces opposed to the current rule resort to using all their hand to sow chaos, and their purpose is not related to the inside of Iraq, as much as to the conflicts of the region and axes. Nor do the adversaries of Iran and Iraqi rule provide the use of popular and social bases influenced by leaders and cadres of the Baath Party, as a tool to retaliate against adversaries and nothing more ».

The longer it takes the deniers, the deeper the crisis

In the case of the Shiite forces, there are facts that are clear but harsh for everyone. The longer those involved in the policy of denial, the deeper the crisis. The fundamental forces are not good at all. The Dawa Party faces a big problem in terms of idea, program, organization and leadership bodies, amid the insistence of its leaders to stay in the same square, ignoring that the experience of 15 years of greater influence within state institutions has caused great crises for the country. The call for the party's removal from power has made a general demand, and the party's strongman, Nuri al-Maliki, has turned into an element of disagreement across Iraq as a whole, not just among Shiites; Haidar al-Abadi does not want to admit that he is no longer eligible to claim a central role; Exposed opportunism, moving between He offered his services to everyone, at a time when his popular base is eroding, and he loses the element of trust from the internal forces and even from the regional powers. He reached the point that Iran and the forces of the resistance axis do not find a serious partner, while the other side is desperate for his inability to create Serious change.
However, everyone depends on the situation o
f Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr, the legacy of the largest mass current among the Shiites in the post-American occupation. It is a complex stream in all aspects of organizational, political and even intellectual, as there is no institution and mechanisms to produce a decision and a destination. His condition is at the discretion of the sole leader, who over time loses all useful cadres. What is dangerous, however, is that the reality of the Sadrist movement today allows all competing forces in the country and abroad to use it in this or that battle. The current became inclusive of all kinds of contradictions on the political level, leading to the growing influence of the «currents of the previous stage», which raises the slogan «Iraq first», and its actual goal is not to cut with the axes of the region, but to confront what it calls «Persian influence» in Iraq.

Checklist ... the last referees
In the case of the Shiite forces today concerned with the major challenges, the religious and political authority in Najaf, led by Mr. Ali al-Sistani, remains the focus of attention both inside and outside Iraq. Everyone is convinced that it faces the greatest challenge in the reality of Iraq. Everyone is expected to behave responsibly in no less than what it did on the day that the threat of ISIS intensified. Because in the case of Iraq, today, leaving things the way they are, and resorting to remedies in the form of invitations and advice, will lead to the escape of these things even from the hand of reference, and it will be difficult for them to control the movement of the forces that are in power, especially as the ruler and the government now, No internal or external party dares to confront them, and it is their responsibility to organize even protests against the existing authority, especially as some outside countries implicitly target the strategic interests they represent. Here, it should be noted that the supporters of the opposition movement from outside Iraq, dealing with what is going on as "an Arab revolution against Shiite political Islam and against the Persian occupation." The Marjaiya cannot confine its role and contacts with the Shiite forces, but it is the responsibility of conducting a logical and fair dialogue with the Sunnis of Iraq, who have increased their anger over the systematic exclusion policy led by those who took power from the Shiites of Iraq during the past years, especially as the Sunnis today believe that The opportunity to fight the "battle for the restoration of rights" within the state and within the circle of political decision, after being excluded at the pretext of dissolving the army and the renewal of institutions, and again under the influence of the law "de-Baathification," which says an influential official in the Iraqi government that has become the law "de-Sunnis" Country.

Revolutionary Childhood and the Role of the Overseas
But the most negative aspect of the Iraqi scene is focused on how the outside world deals with current events. Outside here, there is a strong current that actually belongs to the US ally and its policies in the region. Although there are contradictions within this team in many places, it can be seen in the efforts to push Iraq into chaos, between the Qatari, Turks, Saudis and Emiratis, in addition to the large security and inflammatory role led by the United States, Britain and France in Iraq. Each of these has its agenda and objectives, from the West, which does not want to establish a state in Iraq, to the rulers of the Arabian Peninsula, who have moved to the site of sabotage in all places, through the forces of Sunni political Islam, with "moderate" or "Salafist" currents that see in Iraq only a demon The rules shall be disposed of at any cost.
However, the naivety that hides malice and bad intentions, not just miscalculation, is found by those who treat the Iraqi event as an occasion to renew the Arab Spring. Those who master the fictional narratives of the revolutionary forces leading the masses towards democratic change are the same people who have been living in the same room since 2011, and do not want to admit what they saw in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Syria and Yemen. They themselves decided to prioritize the conflict with Iran over the Israeli occupation. They are the ones who spend the money to create a public opinion fear of every existing rule.
The strange thing in their calculations is not what they mean in what they say, but in exceeding the harsh facts and facts concerning Iraq. They deliberately ignore the tragedies that occurred during Saddam Hussein's authoritarian rule, and ignored the poverty and destitution that plagued many segments of the Iraqi people during Saddam's rule in Baghdad. They ignore the responsibility of the West and the Arabs of America for the war waged by Saddam against Iran and plunged Iraq into crises that did not emerge from it. Then they forget the madness that struck everyone on the day Saddam entered Kuwait and the ensuing devastating US war that besieged Iraq and killed his people until the day of the great invasion in 2003, when the United States and Britain embarked with a crowd of governments, forces and puppet figures in the largest destruction of state structures. Iraqi.
In spite of all these facts, the majority of those who speak, incite and write about the popular revolution are not one person directly connected to the poor people in Iraq, nor have they actually had any relation with the poor and poor people of Syria, Yemen, Libya, Egypt and Sudan. But those so-called "elites" continue to draw on the tenders of elders dominated by hatred, selfishness and vanity, sitting on thrones that make a living from the capabilities of the Arabian Peninsula. Today, there is nothing to distinguish Qatar from the UAE, Kuwait or Saudi Arabia. All of them are in prostitution either!
