The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, on Sunday, the statements made by the Minister of Electricity on the electricity file in Iraq, which he vowed to solve the problem in the next few months, calling for cutting what he described as "the hands of militias and parties controlling the ministry and generating stations "He said.

Al-Sadr wrote in a tweet on Twitter today (June 16, 2019): "The" saying the improvement of electricity in the tenth month, is tantamount to mockery of the Iraqi people, as if to export the surplus of Iraq's electricity abroad! See how these statements are followed, thinking that they will silence the voice of the people in the summer and warm flames. "

He added, "Having become convinced of the government's inability to repair or improve electricity, I propose the following:

First: cutting the hands of the militias and the parties controlling the ministry and generating stations. Second: To make electricity (national) national and Iraqi hands and not external.

Third: accounting (traders) generators and accounting for those behind them do not mean the owners of generators.

Fourth: Work to make the operation of generators in the periods of national power cuts or vice versa. Fifth: Forming a committee to investigate and investigate corruption in the sector and the Ministry of Electricity and control some of them.

Sixth: Determination of amperees, especially for the owners of shops, factories, factories and the like, whose rates of use of energy increases, affecting homes and poor areas.

Seventh: the collection of electricity wages must be fair and honest hands, otherwise the citizen will not pay wages, and should be according to family income and consumption. Eighth: activating the use of foreign companies not occupied to repair what can be repaired and rehabilitated seriously and effectively after monitoring the budget enough to make it safe hands.

Ninth: The formation of committees with competence, experience and high integrity to develop solutions and a comprehensive strategy to solve the problem of electricity in Iraq and not politicized at all.

Tenth: cut off electricity from officials to feel the suffering of the people, especially those inside the green and not to deliver (the emergency line) to their homes and make it to hospitals and schools and some important circles only.
