The Central Bank prevents electronic payment providers from providing loans and advances

 


The Central Bank of Iraq would like to emphasize that the Banking Law No. (94) of 2004 does not allow electronic payment service providers to provide credit services (loans and advances). This bank also states that the license granted to them under the Electronic Payment Services System No. (3) of 2014 Do not allow contracting with the above suppliers or their agents / outlets for the purpose of providing credit facilities in all its forms. This bank is the sector authority responsible for organizing and monitoring the work of electronic payment providers in Iraq .

Announcement of USH152 auction results for the sale of central bank remittances in USD currency

 


Central Bank approved on 21/ 5 /2019 conduct a public auction for the auction USH152 currency of the dollar, for the sale of money orders for ( 182 ) days and $ ( 100 ) million dollars (one hundred million dollars) were sold remittances of $ (16.800) million dollars and at a multi - interest and the highest discount rate (2%), and the number of participants (1) bank has won the amount provided.

It is noteworthy that the Central Bank of Iraq printed large amounts of small currency coins during the last period after most of them were damaged and refused to deal with many citizens.

The Central Bank confirms the continued supply of banks with small groups of currency23rd May, 2019

The Central Bank of Iraq, on Thursday, it continues to provide banks with small groups of currency.


The bank said in a statement received Alsumaria News a copy of it, "continuing to provide all banks with small groups of the Iraqi currency." 

The bank added that "the supply of this currency is by withdrawing funds from the assets of banks located in the Central Bank."

It is noteworthy that the Central Bank of Iraq printed large amounts of small currency coins during the last period after most of them were damaged and refused to deal with many citizens.

There's a pic of a 50 dinar note in those small categories. Does that means anything? 

Well.....maybe they are just recycling some old images (sigh).

I think I remember the reading that the Iraqee's disposed of them because they were worthless.

 Seems like we went thru this a few years back where "coins" and "bills" were interchangeable for translation purposes in Arabish....

correct,  the iraqi's were melting the coins down ... more value melted , cbi had no choice it would take a wheelbarrow full to buy a coffee.
