Arab and Palestinian sources revealed on Wednesday the semi-final date in which US President Donald Trump will set out his peace plan known as the "Deal of the Century".

The sources confirmed that some US officials close to the Trump administration had informed Arab and Gulf figures that the date proposed to see the "deal of the century" and to present it publicly would be on the anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (May 15).

She explained that the Trump administration has effectively completed all the necessary steps to present its expected political deal, and has also obtained funding from Arab countries and others to ensure the implementation of the terms of the deal, which focuses on the economic aspect with the same emphasis on the importance of the political aspect in dealing with the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the region.

The Arab and Palestinian sources, which agreed on the date of the launch of the US deal and preferred not to disclose their names, Trump management told senior officials in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Jordan the "official agreed upon to the moment" to put forward its political deal.

Why Nakba Day?

Despite the Palestinian refusal to deal with the American deal, the same sources pointed out that Trump decided not to prolong the fate of his deal, and ordered that the date for the Nakba should be a serious and significant political significance for the Palestinian cause.

"All the Arab countries, as well as the Palestinian Authority, are now in the stage of waiting for the American deal to be put forward, and its contents will change the political map of the whole region, especially after the serious leaks that have emerged in recent months about some of the terms of that deal, Israeli occupation".

She warned at the end of her speech that "everyone knows the seriousness of the deal of the American century, in the case of the current issue and the items that were leaked," expected to rekindle the situation again, especially within the Palestinian territories, and create a popular reaction and large and can not predict where to get .

The US administration’s peace plan will not be unveiled until June at the earliest, US President Donald Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner said Wednesday.

Kushner told some 100 foreign diplomats the plan will be rolled out after the new Israeli government is sworn in and following the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which ends June 5.

 

He urged them to keep an “open mind,” according to a source cited by the Reuters news service.

 

“He said the plan will require concessions from both sides but won’t jeopardize the security of Israel,” Reuters quoted the source as saying.

“We will all have to look for reasonable compromises that will make peace achievable,” Kushner said.

Trump administration peace envoy Jason Greenblatt confirmed the report as “accurate.”

Kushner made the comments in a speech to diplomats at Blair House in Washington, near the White House.

Little is known about the long-awaited plan, though recent reports in the Washington Post and Guardian suggested it would not include full Palestinian statehood.

That is a likely deal-breaker for Palestinians, who were already not cooperating with Trump’s Middle East team following the US president’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in December 2017 and moving of the US embassy there in May 2018.

New Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh said Tuesday the plan will be “born dead.”

“There are no partners in Palestine for Trump. There are no Arab partners for Trump and there are no European partners for Trump,” Shtayyeh said during a wide-ranging, hour-long interview with The Associated Press.

At a pre-Passover White House event for conservative Jewish groups on Tuesday night, Israel’s ambassador to the US said he was confident the plan, whose details are not yet known, will “take Israel’s vital concerns into account.”

“I know a lot of people are concerned that the peace plan is going to be coming out soon,” Ron Dermer said, according to the Jewish Insider website.

“But I have to say, as Israel’s ambassador, I am confident that this administration — given its support for Israel — will take Israel’s vital concerns into account in any plan they will put forward.”

 

On Friday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, said the peace plan that the White House is expected to roll out will “represent a significant change from the model that’s been used.”

The Arab foreign ministers will hold an emergency meeting on Sunday to discuss the so-called "Deal of the century". 

The Palestinian side called for holding the meeting to discuss the US-sponsored deal of the century. 

In press statements on Friday, AL Assistant Secretary General Ambassador Hossam Zaki said that the general situation is not reassuring.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will brief the Arab foreign ministers on the latest developments related to the Palestinian cause, particularly in light of the deal of the century, Ambassador Zaki said.

US President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan will not involve giving land from Egypt’sSinai peninsula to the Palestinians, an American envoy said on Friday.

Jason Greenblatt, Trump’s Middle East envoy, apparently sought to deny reports on social media that the long-awaited plan to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would involve extending Gaza into the northern Sinai along Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.

“Hearing reports our plan includes the concept that we will give a portion of Sinai (which is Egypt’s) to Gaza. False!,” Greenblatt, one of the architects of the proposal, tweeted on Friday.

The American plan is expected to be unveiled once Israel’s newly re-elected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu forms a government coalition and after the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which ends in June.

Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner said on Wednesday the plan would require compromise by all parties, a source familiar with his remarks said.

It is unclear whether the plan will propose outright the creation of a Palestinian state, the Palestinians’ core demand.

The Palestinians have long sought to set up a state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, territoryIsrael captured in the 1967 Middle East War, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The last round of US-brokered peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians broke down in 2014.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The Iraqi Foreign Ministry's Foreign Relations Committee said on Saturday that the Iraqi government was qualified to play a role in resolving outstanding differences between Saudi Arabia and Iran, while stressing that the Baghdad summit would be held periodically in the countries participating in them.

"The Iraqi government confirmed during the Baghdad summit that it will stand at one distance with all neighboring countries and will not be part of the policy of axes," said member of the Committee Amer al-Fayez, said that "the Iraqi government confirmed that the convening of the summit is necessary because the convergence of views Will contribute to the security and political stability of the Middle East. "

He added that "the Iraqi government is qualified to play the role of mediator in resolving the outstanding differences between Tehran and Riyadh because it has good relations with the parties," noting that "the Baghdad summit will be held periodically in the countries participating in the convergence of views and support the stability of the region."

Iran Supreme Leader Appoints New Military Commander Who Vows to Wage War Against Israel, US

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei appointed a new commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Sunday (IRGC) to replace Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, who led the military since 2007.

Big. Gen Hossein Salami is the new Major General of Iran's military force and he has already vowed to "cleanse the planet" of Israel and America.

In a speech aired Feb. 19 on Iran's IRINN TV, Salami said Iran's sword has been "drawn out of its sheath" and the Islamic regime is preparing to fight Israel, America, and their allies.

"We will break our enemy. We have decided to do so. We have a plan. We are organized and motivated. We have faith. We have martyrdom. We have Jihad. Our nation's sword has been drawn out of its sheath. Our enemies should know that we will never let them be," he said.

Salami also said Iran is preparing to fight its enemies "on the global level, not just in one spot. Our war is not a local war. We have plans to defeat the world powers."

Khamenei's decision to promote Salami to the head of Iran's military comes weeks after US President Donald Trump designated the IRGC as a "foreign terrorist organization."

"This unprecedented step, led by the Department of State, recognizes the reality that Iran is not only a State Sponsor of Terrorism, but that the IRGC actively participates in, finances, and promotes terrorism as a tool of statecraft," President Trump said in a statement.

The designation is the first time the United States has labeled another country's military a terrorist group.

Iranian leaders promptly responded with anger and chants of "Death to America."

"You think if you speak against the Revolutionary Guard you can trigger a difference in Iran?" asked Iran's President Hassan Rouhani. "You think the guards' popularity will decrease? Be aware that, from today, the popularity of the guards in the hearts of the Iranian nation and in the region will be more than ever."

Iran's Revolutionary Guard has hundreds of thousands of members and oversees the country’s ballistic missiles and nuclear programs. It is also an extremely powerful economic entity with influence in Iran's banking, shipping, and oil industries.

The US's designation of Iran's military as a terror organization could make businesses, individuals, and NGO's who provide material support to the IRGC subject to US sanctions.

However, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has granted exceptions to foreign governments, firms, and NGOs so that they do not automatically face sanctions.

A State Department spokesman told Reuters that officials from countries like Iraq who have dealings with the IRGC will not necessarily be denied visas to the US.

Exceptions are also granted to foreign executives who do business in Iran and humanitarian groups in northern Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.
