If we do not get this guy with Maliki then something is really wrong.

Lies & more lies stacking up. High Crimes & Treasonous activities throughout the 8 years of his administration-but just like the Clintons, Obama has at his disposal the $$$$ and the manpower to keep him far away from the courts.

Were it to be true that Obama would be held accountable and prosecuted-California would fall into the sea first . . . Seems All former presidents receive the “ get outta jail free card “- Maybe something could happen that would change everything in Obama’s case-we’ll see.

Obama granted citizenship to 2,500 Iranians during nuclear deal: report

The Obama administration granted citizenship to 2,500 Iranians, including family members of government officials, while negotiating the Iran nuclear deal, a senior cleric and member of parliament has claimed, according to Fox News.
He claimed that the deal was made during negotiations for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was reached in July 2015. President Trump announced in May that the U.S. would withdraw from the agreement.
Hojjat al-Islam Mojtaba Zolnour, who is chairman of Iran’s parliamentary nuclear committee and a member of its national security and foreign affairs committee, made the allegations during an interview with the country’s Etemad newspaper, cited by the country’s Fars News agency.
He claimed it was done as a favor to senior Iranian officials linked to President Hassan Rouhani, and he alleged the move sparked a competition among Iranian officials over whose children would benefit from the scheme.
“When Obama, during the negotiations about the JCPOA, decided to do a favor to these men, he granted citizenship to 2,500 Iranians and some officials started a competition over whose children could be part of these 2,500 Iranians,” he claimed.
“If today these Iranians get deported from America, it will become clear who is complicit and sells the national interest like he is selling candies to America.”
The conservative Zolnour, who is in Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s inner circle, added: “It should be stated exactly which children of which authorities live in the United States and have received citizenship or residency.”

Iran threatens to block Strait of Hormuz

Rouhani says US has not thought about consequences of oil ban

Tehran, Vienna: The commander of the Al Quds Force in the Revolutionary Guards on Wednesday said Iran will block oil shipments through the Hormuz Strait if US President Donald Trump stops Iranian oil sales.

Qassem Solaimani’s comments came as President Hassan Rouhani pledged that Iran will stand firm against US threats to cut Iranian oil sales and said Washington had not thought about the consequences of such a move.

“The Americans say they want to reduce Iranian oil exports to zero... It shows they have not thought about its consequences,” Rouhani was quoted as saying by state news agency Irna on an official visit to Vienna.

Rouhani’s comments echoed his remarks on Tuesday when he hinted at a threat to disrupt oil shipments from neighbouring countries if Washington presses ahead with its goal of forcing all countries to stop buying Iranian oil.

Rouhani did not elaborate, but Iranian officials have in the past threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz, a major oil shipping route, in retaliation for any hostile US action against Iran.

Solaimani praised Rouhani’s remarks on Wednesday, said the Guards were ready to implement such a policy.

He said in a letter published on Irna: “I kiss your [Rouhani’s] hand for expressing such wise and timely comments, and I am at your service to implement any policy that serves the Islamic Republic.”

The United States pulled out of a multinational deal in May to lift sanctions against Iran in return for curbs to its nuclear programme. Washington has since told countries they must halt all imports of Iranian oil from November 4 or face US financial measures, with no exemptions.

Rouhani, who is now in Vienna trying to salvage the nuclear deal, said US sanctions against Iran were a “crime and aggression”, and called on European governments and others to stand up to Trump’s policies against Tehran.

“Iran will survive this round of US sanctions as it has survived them before. This US government will not stay in office forever ... But history will judge other nations based on what they do today,” Rouhani said.

Earlier in the day Rouhani told reporters that “if the remaining signatories can guarantee Iran’s benefits, Iran will remain in the nuclear deal without the United States.” Rouhani said that Trump’s decision to withdraw from the accord was “strange” as it was “against US national interests and the interests of other countries.” A senior Iranian oil official said on Wednesday that Trump’s pressure on international firms not to buy Iranian oil will drive prices higher and end up hurting his own economy. — Agencies

US Vows To Keep Gulf Waterway Open After Iran Threatens Blockade

by Tyler Durden

As Americans are busy with July 4th celebrations, the temperature is heating up in the Persian Gulf a day after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani suggested Iran could stop all regional gulf oil exports in retaliation for the US seeking to collapse the nuclear deal, and in response to aggressive new US sanctions.

"The Americans have claimed they want to completely stop Iran's oil exports. They don't understand the meaning of this statement, because it has no meaning for Iranian oil not to be exported, while the region's oil is exported," the state-run website, president.ir, quoted Rouhani as saying. “The Americans say they want to reduce Iranian oil exports to zero... It shows they have not thought about its consequences,” Rouhani said.

After the provocative Iranian statements, widely understood as a threat to impose military blockade on the world's most crucial oil choke point, spokesman for the US military's Central Command, Captain Bill Urban, told the Associated Press on Wednesday that US sailors and its regional allies "stand ready to ensure the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce wherever international law allows".

Washington has issued an ultimatum to countries dealing with Iran: halt all imports of Iranian oil from Nov. 4 or face punitive US economic measures with no exemptions. Rouhani called these threats "crime and aggression" and an act of "self-harm" as the unwavering stance is “against U.S. national interests and the interests of other countries.” He said this while in Vienna attempting to rally European governments to stand against Trump's policies targeting Tehran.

Previous threats by Iranian officials to possibly take the drastic action of blocking the the Strait of Hormuz — though once easily shrugged off as empty talk — are now coming to a head as the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has thrown its full weight behind Rouhani's words, to which the Pentagon responded, issuing its firm response promising to keep the waterway open through military action if need be.

Though Rouhani's initial words could be somewhat open to interpretation, IRGC commander Major-General Qassem Soleimani followed up on Wednesday in a published letter addressed to the Iranian president: "Your comments, carried by the media, that if the Islamic Republic’s oil isn’t exported there would be no guarantees for the whole region’s oil to be exported, is a very valuable comment,” Soleimani wrote, “I kiss your (Rouhani’s) hand for expressing such wise and timely comments, and I am at your service to implement any policy that serves the Islamic Republic,” he said.

As Quds force leader (the special forces IRGC unit engaged in of foreign operations), Soleimani is precisely the one who would oversee such an operation as blocking Gulf exports. The Straight of Hormuz at its narrowest is about 31 miles wide and approximately 20% of the world's seaborne oil passes through it, annd the IRGC has in the past threatened the passageway by conducting war games, such as during a period of heightened tensions with the West over the straight in 2011 and 2012.

To put things in perspective considering potential disruption, the last major crisis of global economic consequence took place nearly three decades ago:

The largest oil market disruption ever occurred in August 1990, when Iraq's invasion of Kuwait took 4.3 million barrels per day of oil off the market—about 6.5 percent of world supply. That stoppage caused world oil prices to double (from about $20 to $40 per barrel). But a blockade of Hormuz would cut off nearly four times as much oil as the Kuwait crisis did, disrupting a share of the oil market three times greater.

Meanwhile, Iran OPEC governor, Hossein Kazempour Ardebili, weighed in with dire warnings in statements carried by Iran's oil ministry news agency SHANA.

“Trump’s demand that Iranian oil should not be bought, and (his) pressures on European firms at a time when Nigeria and Libya are in crisis, when Venezuela’s oil exports have fallen due to U.S. sanctions, when Saudi’s domestic consumption has increased in summer, is nothing but self harm,” Ardebili said.

“It will increase the prices of oil in the global markets,” he said, and echoing Rouhani's theme of US "self-harm" he added, “At the end it is the American consumer who will pay the price for Mr. Trump’s policy.”

So far the EU is standing by Iran as a major longtime oil importer, but some European officials have acknowledged US sanctions will create an unpredictable environment, potentially making guarantees to Tehran impossible to fulfill.

Iran has reportedly taken measures to gear up for survival amidst the coming economic war, according to Bloomberg, offering to barter oil for goods. “We have informed our oil customers that we will only buy their commodities if they buy our crude,” stated the spokesman for Parliament’s energy commission.

This reportedly the result of OPEC’s third-largest producer being unable to bring dollars or euros in exchange for crude because of “banking problems,” which, according to the spokesman, means Iran is open to alternative means of payment, including medical equipment and agricultural products.

Concerning this week's heightened rhetoric over the Straight of Hormuz, should the IRGC attempt to block it, such a drastic retaliatory measure would most certainly spark war in the Persian Gulf.

Rohani threatens to close the "Hormuz" and the guard undertakes to implement .. Is the countdown to the confrontation began?

13920429095110955858044.jpg+

Iran's President Hassan Rowhani came out of his "moderation" and fumed yesterday when he clearly threatened to disrupt Saudi and Gulf oil shipments if Washington went ahead in its quest to prevent all countries from buying Iranian oil and imposing a suffocating blockade on the Iranians and the people.

The importance of Mr. Ruhani's statements, unprecedented in their seriousness, stems, in our opinion, from three main things:

The first was that it was published on the website of the Iranian presidency and was repeated by President Rouhani at a press conference in Geneva during his visit to Switzerland. "There is no point in not exporting Iranian oil while the oil of the region is being exported," he said.

Second: General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, praised the "Guard" for its strategy to block regional oil exports if the US banned Iranian oil sales. "This is the spiritualism we know."

Thirdly, the interpretation of many experts in the strategic oil security affairs that this threat means that Iran, and its Revolutionary Guard in particular, took several steps to harm America and the Persian Gulf countries that could participate in the siege, most notably the closure of the Strait of Hormuz through which 18 million barrels Daily, mostly from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE and Qatar, of course, according to Ray Abdalbari Atwan.

And adds this famous Arab analyst by saying:

That the Iranian leadership began to shift from defense policy to attack at least in the media, after US President Donald Trump asked Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz three days ago in a telephone call pumping 2 million barrels of crude oil per day, in addition to its current production of up to 10 million barrels , To compensate for any shortage resulting from the suspension of Iranian oil exports (2.8 million barrels per day) as a result of the imposition of the blockade, and found him, the Saudi monarch, every response.

"Brian Hawk, director of planning at the US Department of the Interior said two days ago," that his country is confident of the existence of sufficient reserves of oil to dispense with Iranian crude oil, and his government's goal is to reduce Iran's oil revenues to zero, "in direct reference to this response, and confirmation However, the siege is proceeding according to the planned plan.

According to the opinion of this Arab writer: The US administration is implementing a plan was prepared in the closed rooms to destabilize Iran through the imposition of economic blockade suffocating leading to the explosion of mass popular protests penetrate, and then abducted by Iranian elements moving orders of the "Mossad" and " , In a repetition of the Syrian scenario in one way or another, so that the result is regime change similar to what happened to the government of Muhammad Mossadeq in 1953 when overthrew by a coup led by the CIA after the nationalization of the oil industry in the country, and returned the Shah of Iran to the throne.

Washington-based Zerohedge.com, a Washington-based financial and economic think tank, has published a document-backed report confirming the establishment of an American-Israeli working group of senior Mossad and CIA officers to hold several months of meetings to prepare for unrest and protests. In all the cities and towns of Iran exploiting the deteriorating economic situation in the country, supervised by John Bolton, US national security adviser, and his Israeli counterpart, "Meir Ben Shabat."

Abdalbari Atwan said about this group, saying:

The plans of this group include, as mentioned in the American website, the recruitment of Iranian opposition groups and the intensive use of social media to incite demonstrations. Even Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, sent messages in Persian to the Iranian people demanding a revolution promising support. , The US Secretary of State the same thing on his site on "Twitter."

Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz may ignite the war that America and Israel are seeking and serve as a pretext for Iran's invasion and aggression. But can the Iranian leadership wait for a popular uprising to be overthrown by a suffocating blockade whose consequences are being given in protests that have exploded twice in less than a year? , The first in January and December (last January), 75 cities and towns, the second a month ago in the capital Tehran?

The cessation of Iranian oil exports means the collapse of the local currency and the cessation of most imports necessary to maintain the basic joints of the country's infrastructure, especially technological imports and spare parts, and the basic needs of the people, which means the collapse of the state, not to mention hunger, poverty and high prices. Exaggerating.

Rudy Giuliani, a member of the Trump legal team and a former New York mayor known for his loyalty to Israel, delivered a fiery speech at the Iranian opposition conference, the People's Mujahideen, in Paris last week. Tehran next year, "a reference to the wave of protests planned by the government of its president to explode in Tehran in the coming weeks.

The famous Arab analyst Abdalbari Atwan concludes this analysis by saying:

President Rohani said at his press conferences held in Geneva and Vienna, the first two stations in his current European tour, that imposing the embargo on the Iranians would cost America a heavy price, adding that it would cost the Arab countries and the Persian Gulf to participate in it a more serious price, Existential "as well.

Cutting Iran's oil is like cutting the necks, if not more dangerous, so we have to expect many surprises and shocks in our region in the coming weeks and months, for America and its Arab allies, the Israelis in particular, and the days between us.

Zubaidi expects the region to witness a dangerous escalation leading to a sudden collapse in the world's economies

NRT

The leader of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council, Engineer Baqir al-Zubaidi, predicted on Thursday that the region is experiencing an unprecedented escalation in American and Iranian positions, adding that he also expects a significant rise in oil prices leading to the destruction of the economies of many countries in the world.

In a blog post on Facebook, July 5, 2018, he called on the Iraqi government to speed up the export of Iraqi oil through the Turkish port of Ceyhan and to achieve production rates of up to 1,500 million barrels a day, which would fill Iraq's need for oil resources.

He pointed out that he expected to reach the price of a barrel between 300 to 350 dollars a day .. When the war signals start lighting the Straits of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandeb !

He also predicted that high oil prices would destroy the economies of European countries, Southeast Asia, the United States and Arab and Islamic countries.

He added that he expected the collapse of the airline system in the world to fall to 30% of the volume of current daily flights to increase the cost of tickets to 8 times the current price, so that tourism countries will see a decline in the number of tourists to a third and collapse of their economies !

He concluded that the rise in oil prices to these levels will raise the prices of petrochemicals to 8 times and will stop the production of cars and the decline of purchases of countries from the global aircraft plants US, Canada and European.

Economist for / Mawazin News /: Iraqi oil prices will rise in the event of closure of the Strait of Hormuz

Baghdad - Mawazine News

Economic expert Salama Smisem, on Thursday, that Iraq will be affected by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, while likely to increase the prices of Iraqi oil source in the event of implementation of this resolution.
"Iran has been well versed in the diplomatic game since 1979 and until now, through statements by its officials to close the Strait of Hormuz, it is trying to warn the United States of America that it exists," Smisem said in a statement to Mawazin News.
She added that "US President Donald Trump threatened OPEC to increase its production of oil to reduce its prices so as not to be affected by consuming countries," noting that "the US president is now engaged in economic war and is not unlikely to reserve the funds of the Organization of OPEC in case there was conflict with his project" .
And on the impact of Iraq in the event of closure of the Strait of Hormuz, confirmed Smisem that "Iraq is now linked to agreements with the United States of America and can not be decisions against the interests of the United States," noting that "Iraqi oil prices will rise with the threat of Iran to close the Straits of Hormuz, Oil prices will return to the benefit of the country and we are living the period of business by the current government? ".
For his part, ruled out an Iranian official, that his country to close the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the most important waterways in the world, and most of the movement of ships and oil exports.
The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament, earlier on Thursday, said that "the president did not mean his words about the possibility of exporting oil of the region if Iran did not export its oil, closing the Strait of Hormuz."
"Iran does not intend to breach international treaties, but American actions against Iran are an example of Washington's disrespect for international treaties," he said. "The world must realize that 46 percent of the total oil exports go through the Gulf, Important in the export of oil. "
The Iranian official said that "the situation of his country will not return until before the signing of the nuclear agreement 2015 on the export of oil," adding, "Our situation is not worse than before, and we can now sell oil, even if the US policies and sanctions prevent Iran; but now we have a mechanism to sell Oil ".
Rohani said that preventing Iran from exporting its oil means that no one in the region will be able to export its oil, adding that the United States aims to impose isolation on its people, warning that it would cost Washington a heavy price.
The head of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, Quds al-Quds, said on Wednesday that Tehran was ready to block oil exports from the Middle East.
The Strait of Hormuz is located in the Arabian Gulf region, separating the waters of the Arabian Gulf on the one hand and the waters of the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean on the other.
In international law, the Strait of Hormuz is considered part of the high seas, and all vessels have the right and freedom to pass through it as long as it does not harm the safety of the coastal States or affect their system or security. The width of the Strait of Hormuz is 50 km (34 km at the narrowest point) and only 60 m deep. The width of the entry and exit corridors is two nautical miles (10.5 km).

I do not think this ends well for Iran if they keep talking crap and then try some BS in the straights.

Thanks Butifldrm.

Mr. Finley,

Not going to end well at all for them at all...

I'm thinking Mattis is over being threatened and would probably like to shut them and others up by showing them how it's done.

Good day to you, Sir.

Glad to see you back and checking in. I was thinking about you the other day. Trust you are doing well. My guess you are doing some stealth recon while stopping in for previsions.

Mattis is bitting at the bit for the beat down to begin.

All is well Sir and thank you for asking.

Looking forward to the Post Event Party and boy have we put together an assortment of rums for the occasion!

I'm thinking, they fire a shot and 30 seconds later their entire fleet is at the bottom of the straight.

I'm looking forward to the press conference where Mr. Mattis will probably just smile and say, "Does anyone else question our resolve?"

Take care.

Interim OPCW report finds chlorine used in Syria's Douma

Anthony Deutsch

2 MIN READ

THE HAGUE (Reuters) - Preliminary analysis by the world’s chemical weapons watchdog found chlorine was used in an attack in Douma, Syria, in April that killed dozens of civilians and prompted air strikes by Britain, France and the United States, it said on Friday.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) sent a fact-finding mission to Douma in mid-April, roughly a week after the April 7 attack in the enclave near Damascus.

“Various chlorinated organic chemicals were found in samples” from two locations, the report said. It said it had found no evidence of nerve agents.

The OPCW has documented systematic use of banned munitions in Syria’s civil war, including nerve agent sarin and sulfur mustard gas. It has not assigned blame for the attacks.

In Douma, OPCW inspectors visited two sites where they interviewed witnesses and took samples, which were split at their laboratory in the Netherlands and forwarded to affiliated national labs for testing.

Two samples recovered from gas cylinders at the scene tested positive for chlorine, the report said.

Washington and other Western governments blamed Syrian government forces for the attack in Douma.

The Syrian government denies using chemical weapons during the country’s long civil war but a previous joint inquiry of the United Nations and the OPCW found the Syrian government used the nerve agent sarin in an April, 2017 attack and has also several times used chlorine as a weapon. It blamed Islamic State militants for mustard gas use.

Kuwaiti media sources said on Sunday that the Cabinet will discuss in its next meeting the most important preparations for any possible economic emergency, following the Iranian threats to stop the movement of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz .

"The government will discuss the precautions and measures that will be taken to deal with any such threat," the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas reported on its website on July 8, 2018.

The newspaper added that "there is reassurance and satisfaction of the government not to take this step, because of the commitments of Iran, in addition to Washington's pledge to ensure the safety of oil supplies in the Arabian Gulf."

Iran's Revolutionary Guards chief Mohammad Ali Jafari vowed last Thursday to close the Strait of Hormuz if necessary.

"If Iran can not export its oil through the Strait of Hormuz because of US pressure, no other country in the region will be allowed to do so," Jaafari told local media.

For his part, spokesman for the US Central Command Bill Orben, on the threat of Tehran to close the Strait of Hormuz and prevent the passage of shipments of oil in the strait if Washington banned the sale of Iranian oil, saying: "The US Navy is ready to ensure freedom of navigation and trade."

An Israeli analyst has warned that the main target of the Iranian ideology is to take control of Mecca and Medina, Arutz Sheva reported.

speaking at a conference of the International Institute for Strategic Leadership Talks on Sunday, MK Avi Dichter, Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, gave an overview of Iran's threats to strategic and security issues in the Middle East and the world.

Dichter, a former Shin Bet chief, said "When you look at Iran's activities in the Middle East - Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, Gaza, and Sudan - the question is why? What is their ideology? In my opinion, their vision is to one day take control of Mecca and Medina."

"Iran knows that the more Arab states they recruit, the easier fighting against Saudi Arabia will be," Ditcher warned.
