Joe Sutherland
I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at here but it seems that the Iraqi dinar is on the forex charts Pakistan....? Insights? presence
That's an interesting link. I'd feel more comfortable if there was a real time visual. I suspect all Forex activity would be synchronized worldwide when it goes live, but it's a nice thought and strange things have happened.

I believe IRQ is simply the acronym for Iraq in this situation because it's followed by "dinar". If it was IQD followed by dinar it would read "Iraqi dinar dinar".

Engine1
If you look they also list the US dollar at 140 plus dollars. So listing the dinar at .10 to .14 is against the value of the Pakistan currency. But this is my guess.

Joe Sutherland
I'm just curious to know why the dinar is even on this chart. Seems to be a little more active on an international level than I would have thought. Is the dinar showing a rate on other forex charts? King Bean
Yota is right. If there's no rate change at the CBI, how could it possibly have a value somewhere else? CBI is official policy maker and controls all monetary movement associated with its currency. When a value changes there, it should simultaneously change on Forex and other exchanges. Thanks for the keen eye, Joe.
msdee
I understand what you are saying... i asked a similar question about 2 weeks ago when someone posted the dinar on the forex with a link and no one coukd explain why it was showing there. The explanations were about the exchange rate but the question was is there any significance to it being there in the first place.
