The House of Representatives held on Monday, its tenth session in the second legislative term under the chairmanship of Vice-President Hassan al-Kaabi. 
A parliamentary source said in an interview with / Mawazin News / "The Council held its meeting in the presence of 194 deputies." 
The agenda of the session includes reading some laws and voting on others

{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The House of Representatives held its regular session headed by First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hassan al-Kaabi.
The agenda of the meeting "Vote on the draft law amending the law of the recovery of Iraq's money No. (9) for the year 2012, and vote on the draft law amending the Companies Law No. (21) for the year 1997. 
It also includes "the first reading of the draft law of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the first reading of the draft law of the first amendment to the Law of the Ministry of Interior No. (20) for the year 2016." 
It also includes "the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on the minimum standards of social security No. (102) for the year 1952, and the report and discussion of the draft traffic law."

The House of Representatives decided on Monday to postpone the vote on a bill to amend the law to recover Iraq's money. 
A parliamentary source said in an interview with / Mawazin News / "The House of Representatives decided to postpone the vote on the draft law amending the law of the recovery of Iraq's money No. (9) for 2012." 
He added that "the Council also decided to postpone the consideration of appeals filed on the validity of the membership of some deputies."

The House of Representatives on Monday raised its meeting to Wednesday after postponing reading and voting on several laws. 
"The Council decided to postpone and discuss the draft traffic law and raise its meeting to next Wednesday," a parliamentary source told Mawazine News. 
He added that "the Council also decided to postpone the first reading of the draft law of the first amendment to the Law of the Ministry of Interior No. (20) for the year 2016." 
He pointed out that "the first reading of the draft law of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, as well as the draft law of the accession of the Republic of Iraq Convention on the minimum standards of social security No. 102 of 1952".

The House of Representatives intends on Monday to amend the law of the Ministry of the Interior and discuss the draft traffic law. 
The media department of the Council, in a statement received / Mawazin News /, that "Monday's session will witness" the vote on the draft law amending the law of the recovery of Iraq's money No. (9) for 2012, and vote on the draft law amending the Companies Law No. (21)

 This is a very important law. It Has to be taken care of before the HCl can be passed.  If every citizen in Iraq actually has money to spend for food. They  Will get stuck in traffic driving to Winn-Dixie. The horror the horror.  A good traffic jam will bring out the Terrorist in anyone.  So it looks like they have their priorities straight. 😎

A member of the parliamentary legal committee Hussein al-Aqabi on Sunday expressed the committee's intention to pass 15 laws during the next two weeks in order to activate the parliamentary work, pointing out that the most prominent of these laws is illegal gain, public debt and integrity. 
He said the punishment in a statement to / information / that "the parliamentary legal committee agreed with the Presidency of the House of Representatives on the revitalization of legislative work during the next period."

The House of Representatives finishes reading two laws

The House of Representatives ended its tenth session of the second legislative term for the first legislative year in the fourth parliamentary session under the chairmanship of Mr. Mohamed Halboussi, President of the Council on Monday 15/4/2019 in the presence of 194 deputies to read the first draft bills.

At the beginning of the session, which chaired by the First Vice-President of the Council, Mr. Hassan al-Kaabi, part of which led Mr. Kaabi to hold intensive meetings with the heads of parliamentary blocs in order to speed up the decision to name the heads of committees and their deputies and rapporteurs, calling the winners who did not take the constitutional oath of membership of the House of Representatives to speed up the oath To ensure the exercise of their role as effective as their fellow MPs.

The Presidency of the Council decided to postpone the consideration of the appeals submitted to the health of some of the ladies and gentlemen of the House of Representatives to a later session, which required a two-thirds majority of the members of the Council.

The draft law amending the Iraqi Money Recovery Law No. (9) for the year 2012, submitted by the Integrity and Finance Committees and the draft law amending the Companies Law No. (21) for the year, submitted by the Economic, Investment, Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities Committees 1997, Concerned for the maturation of the bill.

The Council concluded the first reading of the draft law of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, submitted by the services, reconstruction, culture, information, tourism and archeology committees for the purpose of developing the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and defining its tasks and establishing and developing infrastructure for telecommunications, information technology, postal and savings services, Internet services of all kinds, developing telecommunication services and keeping abreast of technological development. And the implementation of the general policy of the state in these sectors and the exploitation of material and human resources in order to increase and improve services and raise the level of performance and organization of work in Communications and acts of worship of information technology and determine the organizational structure of the Ministry.

The Council decided to postpone the first reading of the draft law of the first amendment to the law of the Ministry of the Interior No. 20 of 2016, submitted by the Security and Defense Committee with a view to reviewing the ministry's formations and their level of coordination in accordance with the legal system of administrative organization.

The Council then completed the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on Minimum Standards for Social Security No. 102 of 1952, submitted by the Committees on Foreign Relations, Labor, Social Affairs, Migration and Displaced Persons in order to secure the minimum standards of social security for workers in the Republic of Iraq and to accede to the Convention Which entered into force on 27 April 1955.

Mr. Al-Kaabi called upon the deputies to resolve the issue of the heads of parliamentary committees and their deputies and rapporteurs and facilitate the task of holding presidential elections in order to provide legislation that contributes to the service of citizens.

For his part, the President of the House of Representatives postponed the reading and discussion of the draft traffic law submitted by the Security and Defense Committee at the request of the concerned committee to the next session.

 

 

Then it was decided to adjourn the meeting until next Wednesday 17/4/2019.

I bet they are feeling ill!  Many will loose properties and money with these laws.

For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives postponed the reading and discussion of the draft traffic law submitted by the Security and Defense Committee at the request of the concerned committee to the next session. After that it was decided to adjourn the meeting until Wednesday.
