The House of Representatives will hold its regular fourth session of the second legislative term on Thursday, with the exception of the agenda of the session from the ministerial cabinet update file. 
"The session will see the first reading of the proposed law to abolish the offices of public inspectors, and the first reading of the proposed amendment to the Federal Court Act of 2005," the Information Service of the Parliament said in a document obtained by Mawazine News. 
The information service said that "tomorrow's meeting will also discuss the draft law on the first amendment to the law of the Fund for the recovery of Iraq's funds for the year 2012, and discuss the draft law on information crimes."

(Reading verses from the Holy Quran )

 

First:  the first reading of the proposed law abolishing the offices of public inspectors. (Legal Committee).

 

 

Second: The  first reading of the proposed amendment to the law of the Federal Court No. (30) for the year 2005 (3 article).

 

Third: Report and discussion of the draft law of the first amendment to the law of the Fund for the recovery of Iraq's money No. (9) for 2012. (Integrity Committee, Finance Committee). (Article 7).

 

Fourth:  Report and discussion of the draft law amending the Companies Law No. (21) of 1997. (Committee on Economy and Investment). (11 articles).

 

 

 

 

The session begins at 1pm.

The MP for the alliance of conquest Haneen al-Qaddu, on Thursday, the readiness of 13 laws to vote in the House of Representatives during the coming period, pointing out that the law of the removal of foreign forces leads the laws.

Al-Qaddo said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "the draft law to remove foreign forces from the important laws that will be discussed and voted during the current legislative term," noting that "the law was chosen from among the nearly 40 laws for its importance."

He added that "the security committee will meet with the security leaders and the commander-in-chief to show the extent of their need for foreign forces with the identification of nationality and the number of crews and whereabouts." The government program monitoring committee is discussing with the Minister of Planning the implementation of the Ministry's plans

 

 

March 14, 2019

The Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Government Program and Strategic Planning on Wednesday 13/3/2019 discussed in its expanded meeting chaired by MP Mohammad Ali Zinni with the Minister of Planning Nuri al-Dulaimi and the advanced owners, the plans prepared by the ministry to implement the governmental program and the mechanisms to implement them.

The meeting comes within the framework of the Committee's efforts and plans to host ministers and those concerned with the implementation of the government program and to know what has been achieved from this program and the most important difficulties and obstacles in the way of implementation.

The Chairman and the members of the Committee during their interventions expressed their intention to activate the role and functions of the Committee in monitoring and follow-up of what is achieved from the government program and to ensure this monitoring and knowledge and to know the plans prepared by all ministries and how to implement them to serve the Iraqi citizen, stressing that this meeting is the first new breakthrough in the practice Committee for its functions and role.

The committee announced that it had committed itself to submitting a monthly report on the ministries to the Council of Representatives on the achievements of the government program, stressing its support for the ministry in the plans that develop and support the programs prepared by it.

For his part, the Minister of Planning and Owners advanced plans of the ministry and the state to implement their observations and perceptions about the government program and the most important problems and obstacles faced in the implementation of plans prepared by.

The minister expressed the ministry's need to maintain constant contact with the committee with the aim of joint cooperation and integration in the work. He stressed that the ministry has initiated this proactive step and will be one of the first ministries to present its plans and mechanisms for implementing them. He stressed that the ministry's doors will remain open to the committee. And the programs it prepares, especially in plans to alleviate poverty, promote human development, achieve economic and commercial reform, and adopt good governance in the administration.

The meeting concluded with monthly meetings between the two sides, continuous communication and reports on the Ministry's achievements in implementing its plans.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi opened on Thursday the fourth session of the parliament with its second legislative term.

"The agenda of the session will include the first reading of the proposal to abolish the offices of the inspectors (the Integrity Committee, the Legal Committee)," the media department told the council in a statement.

The statement added that "the meeting will also include the first reading of the proposal of the Federal Court Law No. 30 of 2005 Article 2," pointing out that "will discuss the draft amendment to the first law for the recovery of Iraq's money No. (2 for 2012), Integrity Committee, , (7 articles) ".

He pointed out that "the Council will discuss the draft law amending the Companies Law No. (61 of 1997), (Committee on Economy and Investment, the Committee on Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities), (11 articles).

"There are many important laws and files accumulated from subsequent periods and courses, we are in dire need of legislation and the passage of them, including the laws of the Federal Court, oil and gas, health and other laws that have been removed from previous sessions," Khalati said in an interview with Alsumaria News.

"There is another file focused on the current period, the corruption file, and there are many laws related to this file, which we believe are urgently needed to support the efforts of the government and regulatory bodies, including the laws of graft and the recovery of smuggled money. Of laws ". 

He added that "the importance of these efforts and strive to improve the legislative and supervisory functions of the Parliament requires us to increase and intensify efforts and believe that there is a need to increase the number of meetings of the parliament held weekly to a larger number to ensure time reduction and achieve the best results in the areas related to the work of the Council and legislation important laws linked to the work of other authorities And support the file against corruption. " 

It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives held regular periods of a week between two to three sessions, separated by days to meet parliamentary committees.

The President of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halabousi, on Thursday, to host the head of the border crossings at the next session. 
A parliamentary source said in an interview with "Mawazin News" that "Halabousi invited to host the head of the border crossing authority and the Director General of the General Customs Authority in the next session." 
He added that "the hosting comes to discuss several files related to the work of ports."

MP Kazem al-Sayadi said on Thursday that party interests are pushing for the non-passing of a bill to abolish the offices of inspectors in the House of Representatives. 
"After the vote on the postponement of the first reading of the law abolishing the offices of the public inspectors, there are political and partisan interests that push not to pass this law to stay on financial and administrative corruption," Sayadi told a news conference in the lower house of parliament. 
"Despite the postponement, we are still in the process of including the law during the coming sessions," he said

This guy must be an alien !!?? Like the outer-space kind. He can't possibly be an Iraq GOI member. That talk about extra sessions to get to the real 'meat' of the postponed laws?? What was he thinking?? When they ran off at the mouth, during their recent 6 week break, about big accomplishments in the next session....they must have been talking about a menu change in the cafeteria. Maybe bring in the McCamel Quarter Pounder with date sauce. Hmmmmmm.
