A Coast Guard lieutenant arrested earlier this week on drug and gun charges was planning to commit domestic terrorism, according to a court filing from the U.S. District Court in Maryland.

In a motion filed Tuesday, U.S. attorneys said Christopher Hasson, a lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard who has served at the service’s headquarters in Washington since 2016, had a hit list of targets, a cache of guns and a series of communications with white supremacists. The first sentence in the motion imploring the court to detain Hasson pending trial: “The defendant intends to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country.”

Per the motion, he was arrested Feb. 15 on charges of possession of a firearm and ammunition by an unlawful user or addict of controlled substances, as well as “simple possession” of an opioid. But, prosecutors write, these charges “are the proverbial tip of the iceberg.”

“The defendant is a domestic terrorist, bent on committing acts dangerous to human life that are intended to affect governmental conduct.”

Per the court document, Hasson has been serving as an acquisitions officer at the Coast Guard’s D.C. headquarters since June of 2016. Though he has not received any tactical, weapons or explosives-related training in this position, the prosecutors note that Hasson served in the Marine Corps from 1988 to 1993, followed by approximately two years of active duty with the Army National Guard. When authorities raided his residence earlier this month, they found 15 firearms and over 1,000 rounds of mixed ammunition, the document says. His detention hearing is scheduled for Thursday in Greenbelt, Md. According to a separate court filing signed Feb. 15, Hasson will be represented by a public defender.

The filing was first reported by Seamus Hughes, the deputy director of the Program on Extremism at George Washington University.

Prosecutors stated that since 2017 Hasson has “routinely perused” the manifesto of Anders Behring Breivik, a far-right Norwegian terrorist who killed 77 people in two attacks in 2011. Hasson followed the instructions of the document, which tell “a prospective assailant to amass appropriate firearms, food, disguises, and survival supplies.”

On Jan. 17, Hasson allegedly compiled a list of targets including a number of Democratic politicians and left-leaning political commentators. The names on the list include “Sen blumen jew” (presumably Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn.,) and “poca warren” (presumably Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.).

There are also references to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a long list of additional Democratic senators, including Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Cory Booker, D-N.J., Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Tim Kaine, D-Va. The list also includes likely references to a number of House members (Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.), television hosts (Joe Scarborough and Chris Hayes of MSNBC, Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo of CNN), former Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas and the Democratic Socialists of America.

On the same day he finished the list, the court filing says, Hasson completed the following Google searches over the course of three hours: “what if trump illegally impeached,” “best place in dc to see congress people,” “where in dc to congress live,” “civil war if trump impeached” and “social democrats usa.”

Hasson’s alleged online searches for pro-Russian, neo-fascist and neo-Nazi literature, along with draft emails recovered from his email offer insight into what prosecutors describe as extremist views.

“I am dreaming of a way to kill almost every last person on the earth,” Hasson allegedly wrote in a draft email to “acquaintances” last June; in the email, he appears to outline a stream of possible ways — ranging from biological attacks to bombing/sniper campaign” — to violently fight back against “Liberalist/Globalist ideology is destroying traditional peoples esp white.”

“It seems inevitable that we are doomed,” the email continues, with Hasson soliciting ideas for how he might “enlist the help of another power/country,” such as Russia “or any land that despises the west’s liberalism. Excluding of course the muslim scum,” conceding, “I don’t think I can cause complete destruction on my own.”

Among the list of things he seems to be instructing himself to do once he “comes off of TDL [tramadol],” the opioid he was charged with possession of, is taking a “serious look at appropriate individual targets, to bring greatest impact. Professors, DR’s, Politian’s, Judges, leftists in general.”

In another alleged draft email sent to himself in September 2017, Hasson apparently wrote to a well-known American neo-Nazi leader, identifying himself as “a long time White Nationalist, having been a skinhead 30 plus years ago before my time in the military.”

In addition to evidence of regular tramadol use, prosecutors also note that Hasson appeared to be stockpiling human growth hormone in accordance with part of the Breivik manifesto that recommends the use of narcotics to increase killing ability. Agents said they discovered a locked case filled with more than 30 bottles labeled “HGH” when they searched Hasson’s home.

Charges related to domestic terrorism in the United States have risen in recent years and, according to a report from the Southern Poverty Law Center released earlier Wednesday, the number of hate groups operating in the country has reached an all-time high. Last fall, a Florida man was arrested for mailing 16 pipe bombs to critics of President Trump and prominent Democratic figures, and a gunman killed 11 people at a Pittsburgh synagogue that had supported refugees.

The federal public defender for the District of Maryland, who has been appointed to represent Hasson according to court documents, could not immediately be reached for comment.

I was wondering how long it would take you to bring this false flag BS story over. If the Democrats really want everyone to believe that Trump supporters are Neo-Nazi haters they would let somebody do what they're accusing this guy of wanting to  do.

As usual the truth will come out in the future showing that this man was a stark raving lunatic Democratic Socialist until a few weeks ago. But that really doesn't matter because no one got past the headline to read any facts to begin with, everyone's mind is already made up.

And why would the Democrats release this false flag narrative now? Notice that yesterday it was leaked the Mueller investigation is coming to an end with no Trump collusion whatsoever? And the speculation that the new attorney general may have something to do with that. Needed to change that narrative quickly.

not sure how false or true but Fox News is reporting on it also.  They don't  usually report on negative assumptions on the Republicans.  It would seem as of now, this guy is a extreme  right wing crazy.  Ya know we have them on  both sides.  But of course time will tell.

I disagree Jim. To cross over into the realm of wanting to assassinate someone is to be demonically controlled or at worst possessed. Conservatives do not allow that to happen to themselves. Which is why you don't see us assassinating people. Democrats however will murder a child 10 minutes after it's born, thus showing the evil demonic possession that they have within them. The very fact that this man supposedly was planning massive assassinations is evidence if true that he was possessed. I do not believe a conservative person would go that far. It's just not in your nature.

Seems by default you're accusing naval intelligence, or whatever branch handles that sort of thing for the United States Coast Guard, of being part of a "Deep State"......Take off the blinders bro, you might be surprised what you see all around you.  As always, just my opinion

Well said Jim.....It would be extremely naive for anybody to believe extremists don't exist on all sides of the political, religious, and racial spectrum.  Hope all is well....nice to see you posting again from time to time.

LGD, I realize your post was not directed towards me but I must share a response to your overtly denial of human responsibility.  Man, whether right, left or in the middle are and can be evil.  You can't possibly believe that all the left is demonically possessed.  Conservatives are just as vulnerable to such possession as the left.  But, I submit to you that evil of ones heart is the culprit and the devil doesn't  have to enable one to bring out mans depravity.  After all, we can't blame the devil for everything!  How 'bout man taking responsibilty for what he sows?....In other words why would the devil possess one that is already deceived.  He preys more on the ones hes' afraid of losing...your obsession with the "right" always being in the correct lane is a false narrative.  I would even venture to say that there are many Republicans that believe in abortion and a woman's right to decide..  (please note, this is not my stance) but the right must take responsibility also..the right and left both inacted row v wade from the beginning.  Both are guilty and both must equally accept resonsibilty......I say it's time to take a look at the individual and not their political party.  Both sides are at fault and both sides have evil hearts within.

thanks for your time

With respect, Barb. From the time of the Garden of Eden to today & Beyond, mankind, male and female, have never been able to make a spiritual decision without being swayed by one  Force or another.

Adam and Eve lived in the garden following the Lord's will until Lucifer in the form of a serpent swaid Eve to do what she was forbidden to do. When a human being serves evil weather through possession or true demonic manipulation they are serving Satan. When a human being served good, as in helping their fellow man, they are serving God. The thing that all humans need to be most concerned with is that Lucifer can also transform himself into an angel of Light. Thus we are commanded to try all spirits whether they be good or whether they be evil.

Conservatives by their very nature wish to be left alone, work their jobs, raise their families and provide a good life for their children. This is serving the betterment of humanity. That is why I believe a conservative would never plan to murder someone. And much less multiple people at one time.

I'm probably trying in vain to make a very fine distinction here. And not just with you, but with everyone. Liberals stand on a platform that believes in infanticide, taking money from those they think do not deserve it and giving to those whom they think do. By this very nature liberals serve evil. Nevertheless, evil can transform itself into an angel of Light. Which is why we have liberal churches. Lucifer will always use a little bit of Truth to lead people astray. But a people Desiring truth in its purest form cannot be led astray. For he who restrains will restrain until he be taken out of the way. That is to say the Holy Spirit guides the hearts of men and women who desire the betterment of mankind. And those people where the Holy Spirit dwells in their hearts, to whatever degree, can not have a demon in the same place. As Jesus once said no man can have and serve two masters, for he will either love the one and hate the other. The Holy Spirit and a demon of possession cannot dwell in the same heart. It is simply a Supernatural mystery and a fact.

I agree, where I disagree is that the evil is on both sides.  God shows no favoritism, nor does the devil. Right and left is one in the same as they are man, both responsible for their actions.  Evil doesn't  just make up the side of the left.  We are all fallible in deed in action, this includes all men, race, creed, color or political affiliation.  The left is no more responsible than the right.  Man alone is accountable.

Humm, Okay my Horde of Drugs consists on Tylenol PM and a bottle of Sauza Gold.

Now if that is the Weapons cache they are worried about....that is a bout what any Sportsmen should have....A couple shotguns, maybe a .410 single shot, couple .22 LF,  small collection of handguns  ....Collection of various mags and a couple black rifles against the wall........1000 rounds was most likely combined total for every caliber he had 4 .50 Cal ammo cans a 2 5.56 cans.....That is a pretty weak stash if I were to say so.

The nicest thing in the pic is most likely the Pump Shotgun on the bottom right with the Laminated Wood Stock......But it is Zip Tied so who really knows what is going on in this picture.....Lame Stream Media showing and old pic of something else to make to guy out as a war Mongering, Psycho crazed killer......Note the tags and zip ties....

This is most likely a Photo Op from some lame stream drug bust and now used for this......Where is the MAGA hat?

I have given more gear away and have more ammo than pictured.....This was a planned event.

Weapons seized at the Silver Spring, Maryland, home of US Coast Guard officer Christopher Paul Hasson. He espoused white supremacist views and drafted a target list of Democratic politicians and prominent media figures and was arrested on firearms and drug charges on Feb. 15, 2019.

A federal judge ordered a U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant and self-described white nationalist held for 14 more days on drug and weapons charges Thursday while federal authorities weigh other possible charges linked to their contention he planned domestic terrorist attacks on politicians and journalists.

Christopher Paul Hasson of Silver Spring, Maryland, was arrested last week on gun and drug charges and intended "to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country," according to court documents filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court in Maryland.

Hasson, an active member of the Coast Guard, had stockpiled weapons since 2017, the government said, and created a list of targets including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Allegedly expressing extremist views for years, Hasson viewed pro-Russian, neo-fascist and neo-Nazi literature thousands of times from 2017 to 2019. He wrote, "I am dreaming of a way to kill almost every last person on the earth" in an email draft, court documents say.

Authorities said they found 15 guns and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition in Hasson's apartment. While working as an acquisitions officer in Washington, Hasson routinely read the manifesto by far-right domestic terrorist Anders Breivik, who killed 77 Norwegian citizens in 2011.

In a letter Hasson sent to himself, he called for "focused violence" and said he is a "long-time white nationalist."

"We need a white homeland as Europe seems lost," the letter, included in court documents, reads.

After Thursday's hearing, U.S. Attorney Robert Hur said, "The sheer number and force of the weapons that were recovered from Mr. Hasson's residence coupled with the disturbing nature of his writing appear to reflect a very significant threat for the safety of our community, particularly given the position of trust that Mr. Hasson held with the U.S. government."

Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer Barry Lane, spokesman for U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, said in a statement that the arrest was part of an investigation led by the Coast Guard.

"An active duty Coast Guard member, stationed at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, D.C., was arrested last week on illegal weapons and drug charges as a result of an ongoing investigation led by the Coast Guard Investigative Service, in cooperation with the FBI and Department of Justice. Because this is an open investigation, the Coast Guard has no further details at this time," Lane said.

To "increase his ability to conduct attacks," Hasson abused the narcotic tramadol and collected 30 bottles of human growth hormone, according to court documents.

He allegedly wrote a list of targets Jan. 17 that included prominent Democratic congressional leaders and MSNBC and CNN media personalities. Beyond Pelosi, court documents identified such targets as Democratic Sens. Charles Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, as well as Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Maxine Waters and Ilhan Omar. Journalists listed included CNN's Chris Cuomo and MSNBC's Ari Melber.

That day, Hasson entered Google searches for "best place in dc to see congress people," "where do most senators live in dc" and "civil war if trump impeached," court documents say.

I wanted to comment some more about what you so eloquently wrote ( which I do share completely)...

But I choose not to do that .....In a sincere  peace and no-argument spirit toward many here....That would only cause more tensions and problems we / I do not need...So I will abstain
