Next RV Window...Summer, Haaj or Ramadan?

2-11-2019  Newshound Guru Kaperoni   There is no indication that the CBI held the Iraqi Finance conference on the 10-11.  Going by the official website, they kicked the can down the road to summer.

 

The CBI Banking Conference (which was scheduled for last fall) & rescheduled for Feb has in fact been postponed again to summer 2019. Some have asked my opinion on this banking event & all I can say is the fact they keep on postponing it to be telling signs that they do not want to hold this event until all their ducks are in place. After all, they advertise "Iraq is open for business" & currently that is not the case. More work needs to be done.......ie currency reform, laws passed etc.

Odd isn't it...today's Guru's updates sounds exactly like it did 10 years ago.

It's like 10 years of Groundhog Day.

Kaperoni keeps saying iraq will not rv or reinstate their currency but at the same time he says iraq will slowly increase the value. Any increase in value higher than a penny is a rv! whats the difference, its a change in value for the better!

In that case, every time a currency changed the value on forex it could be considered an RV. What Kap is talking about is technically called a float. If the USD changed 10 cents, every penny change would be considered an RV by your definition and would have RVd 10 times. If you took it out to the third decimal place (forex takes it out further) it would have RVd 1000 times for every penny then the USD would have RVd 10,000 times with a ten cent change. To save time and sanity, they call it a float. If the dollar today was 90 cents and tomorrow the Feds said the dollar is worth 1.20 then it would be an RV. A float is controlled by the market in most cases. An RV is done by the government or CBI. Unless you have a government/cbi controlled float that is another discussion for another day.
