I know there was a mention about Moringa a few years

ago on this thread, but it is closed to further comment at this time. No negative reasons given so I assume it because no one looked into, or commented any further and or n. I just ordered the OMG Organic Moringa leaf powder brand and pill set up system this family used in hopes of mimicing their results, for different anit-inflamitory reasons. Ebay and Amazon were all out of stock on this name brand, so I went to their web site OMG, Organic Meets Good. I actually googled OMG Organic moringa leaf powder and then found them.  These Ohioians in the youtube video just come accross more believable and realistic. But no I don't know them from,  anyone else. They have additional videos. There are already capulized options by what appear to be reputable companies. Yet as these folks say fresher is better, and no fillers or preservatives added to extend shelf life is also better. Look at all the areas of use/benefits above. Arthiritis, Rheumatiod in this video, or osteo; relief from inflamation of the sinuses from alleggies to where you can't breath or sleep at night (me), or the aches and pains from aging and yet undiagnosised arthritis (me). As an LVN, I am aware of the effectiveness of prednisone as a anti-inflamitory. I am on 5 days of that, for my latest 26 day stint of swollen sinus passages from allergies. I and you are familiar with this meds negative side effects, moonface swelling, redness to the skin, and toxicity to the body (a contributor to death) if this med is prescribed on a extended basis. Especially if this med is the only med prescribed for your condition that makes the pain tolerable. Moringa is a super food and it is reported to help balance the body's alkalinity. Benefits pointed out in previous topics in this section. I am going to try it for a month or so once I get all the parts, and promise to get back to you. I think it is best to capsulize this stuff in vegi caps, since the straight powder in water has had nasty taste comments. Leaving me cautious about placing it in teas or smoothies. But actually I cannot speak to the straight powder taste ... yet. Depending on your needs 2 pill in the am, 2 in the pm is what I plan on using. Though less may be alright.

The tree grows in warm places and grows well here in The tropics. The leaves are great harvested and eaten as a green with dinner.... sauted or steamed. I used to dry them in batches then powder them.... Not that easy in The tropics.

The flowers taste great... a nice mustard flavour.

I'm told the roots are like horse radish and the bark can 've used too.

Certainly the leaves are easy to usr... I love the taste and my arthritis has subsided considerably

FlyHi, thanks for your comment. I did watch a couple of videos on the Moringa leaves where it was said the leaves taste similar to kale. Which I would say is something like a peppery  lettus. Is that about right? If so that ain't bad at all. So you can use them in a salad with dinner. Sauted or steamed. Sounds great. I just ordered everything yesterday and haven't been able to try moringa in either form yet. If you wanted to dry them in the tropics, couldn't you use a dehydrator, before pulverizing them? i myself don't know yet, but it would seem like a possibility

Yes you are on the right track regarding taste. Kale is different it is more like mustard seeds taste but delicious in my view.

In my dreams to have a dehydrator.... yes humidity is the killer or the pain in trying yo dry and then powder it. But hey once it's done it's great on all sorts of foods... I like it on muesli with yogurt; on scrambled eggs, any savoury dish served up; in smoothies etc

Good luck with your first batch.
