A member of the Presidency of the House of Representatives Hassan Karim Kaabi, on Tuesday, a meeting of the Finance Committee parliamentary, to discuss a number of topics and laws on the agenda.

Al-Kaabi stressed in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (Aaa) a copy of it on the need to coordinate with the executive authority in the follow-up of the implementation of all the articles and paragraphs of the General Budget Law 2019. Also discussed were drafts and laws within the jurisdiction of the Finance Committee,

The statement added that "a number of issues have been addressed, such as the issue of oil exported from the Kurdistan Region, the rounds of oil licenses, reviewing contracts, hosting ministers and officials within the committee, and burning caravans at the port of Zurbatiya in Wasit province.

The President of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halbusi, on Wednesday, that the parliament has comments on the activation of the budget, expressing the hope that there are steps in this regard. 

"There are important long-term projects and quick projects and there are important projects such as schools and hospitals that the citizen needs and we will have a role to support the government in its efforts," Halboussi said during a meeting of the building alliance and his follow-up.

 


He called on the Speaker of Parliament to "work together with the Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi in completing the ministerial cabin because it lasted longer than the specified period and there should be a clear message with a real intention to complete it and we hope to submit the names as soon as possible," referring to "the need to complete parliamentary committees corresponding to the government" . 

"The laws have entered into legislation, but there is confusion in the work of the committees of Parliament and everyone bears this matter and must be taken seriously and there is a desire to go full or partial to resolve this file next week." 

He pointed out that "there should be steps in this matter from the government and we propose that during the month of Ramadan we should have a unified vision and joint meetings between the government and the parliament on specific topics in the month of Ramadan and study the obstacles of the programs and discuss Service topics ".

"There are people without shelter and there are in the camps. This is a shame for everyone. There must be efforts," he said.

Seriously folks . . . this is in the realm of the absurd.

 

There's allot of astonishingly ridiculous statements coming out of the GOI lately . . . don't get me wrong some good stuff too. There's no denying this mob sounds completely lost. Up CRAP CREEK Without a Paddle.

 

Another statement I read a few minutes ago states the Reps have no vision . . . ( for the future ) ? HELL, NO LEADERSHIP IS MORE LIKE IT ! 

Not exactly inspirational for the folks in Iraq is it ?

 Baghdad:

 The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed on Thursday the intention of the government to launch the grades of the directorates of education in all provinces, noting that the postponement of the launch in the past period was caused by corruption and nepotism in receiving requests for appointments.

 Committee member Haneen al-Qaddu said in a statement to the "news" that "the federal government will launch appointments for the directorates of education in all provinces after the development of new mechanisms to prevent nepotism."

 He added that "postponement of the release of grades in the directorates came because of nepotism and corruption and political interference in the receipt of applications for appointments."

 He added that "the government will implement its promises on the disqualification of employees of electricity contracts and some state departments during the first half of this year," noting that "the restoration of their contracts in the security ministries need a supplementary budget."

Iraq pays 11 trillion dinars to repay its debts

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Friday (April 12, 2019) that Iraq would pay 11 trillion dinars out of the 2019 budget to pay its debts.

"The banking sector in Iraq needs to be further developed," Abdul Mahdi said in an interview with Al Masalla. He said about 30 percent of the employees' salaries had been settled to provide substantial liquidity.

Iraq is suffering from the war on terrorism and the requirements of armaments, of large debts to pay.

Parliamentary finance is preparing new oversight mechanisms on projects in the provinces

The parliamentary finance committee pledged to put in place new mechanisms to control the stagnant projects in the governorates and allocate them to reach objective solutions in the coming months.

"The Finance Committee has hosted 11 governors to study and follow up the financial allocations for the budget of 2019," said the head of the current age of the committee Haneen al-Qaddu in a joint press conference.

"The exchange of views with the governors to find out the reasons for the delay of projects and the reality of achievement."

He added that "the committee is working to identify the obstruction of the completion of projects and control the performance of the provinces," noting that "the Committee tried to find solutions to obstacles with the Ministry of Finance and some ministries of important projects."

The Parliamentary Finance Committee carried a number of governors, provincial councils and the Ministry of Planning responsible for disrupting the implementation of the federal budget law of 2019 ,. 

Committee member Siham Shannon said that "the meeting, which was held within the Finance Committee and attended by a number of conservatives and officials in the Ministry of Planning shows that the reason for disabling the application of the federal budget law for 2019 due to failure to send provincial councils plans for the Ministry of Planning," pointing out that "six provinces Has reached its plans for the Ministry of Planning so far and spent 25% of the funds allocated to them. 

She added that "delaying the provinces in sending plans is incorrect and will disrupt the service and strategic projects," indicating that "the Finance Committee instructed the notification of the provinces to send their plans to the Ministry of Planning as soon as possible for study and sent to the Ministry of Finance."
