(Statement) initiative one trillion dinars to finance small and medium enterprises

 

As part of the contribution to support the Iraqi economy, the Central Bank announced its initiative one trillion dinars to finance small and medium-sized projects granted the Central Bank of Iraq banks participating in this initiative more than 33 billion dinars during the year 2018 to lend citizens wishing to establish new projects.

He wished to clarify that the bank that the total amounts given to banks since the start of the initiative to finance small and medium enterprises in the year 2015 to 31/12/2018 amounted to more than 73 billion dinars, these projects were distributed on various sectors and the proportion of the commercial sector 59% and services 25% and industrial 12 % And agricultural 4%.

The initiative includes 34 banks, 33 private banks and one government bank, while loans for these projects ranged from five million dinars to 50 million dinars and could reach 100 million dinars after approval by the Central Bank.

It is noteworthy that all Iraqis are entitled to apply to the initiative of financing the small and medium-sized projects through the website of the initiative provided that the legal age of the borrower, especially that the benefits of loans supported and facilitated procedures.

(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The Central Bank announced the granting of more than 33 billion dinars during the year 2018 to lend citizens to establish new projects.
A statement issued by the bank received the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it today, "Based on the contribution to support the Iraqi economy announced by the Central Bank of his initiative one trillion dinars to finance small and medium-sized projects granted the Central Bank of Iraq banks participating in this initiative more than 33 billion dinars during the year 2018 to lend Citizens wishing to establish new projects. " 
He added that "the total amounts given to banks since the start of the initiative to finance small and medium enterprises in the year 2015 until 31/12/2018 amounted to more than 73 billion dinars, these projects were distributed on different sectors, the proportion of the commercial sector 59%, services 25%, industrial 12% and agricultural 4 % ".

All Iraqis are entitled to apply to the SME initiative through the EITI website, provided that the legal age of the borrower is fulfilled and that the benefits of loans are supported and facilitated.

The bank added that "the decision will be implemented as of 20 of this January." 

The Central Bank of Iraq was established as an independent bank under its law of 6 March 2004 as an independent body responsible for maintaining price stability and implementing monetary policy. It supervises 10 commercial banks, 26 private banks and 16 Islamic banks, as well as 19 foreign banks. 6 financial institutions and 31 financial transfer companies
