It's better to be happy than to be sad Joy is the best thing that exists It's like the light inside the heart. However, for writing a beautiful samba, it is required a lot of sadness otherwise you can't do it. Writing a samba is not telling a joke And those who write sambas like these aren't worth it The good samba is a kind of prayer Because samba is the sadness that moves you And the sadness always hopes One day not being sad anymore. Add some love to a pace And you shall see that nobody in the world can beat The beauty contained in a samba Because the samba was born there in Bahia And if today it's white regarding its poetry It's too black in its heart.
