Wild Pigs were domesticated 10,000 years ago in Central Asia.

Since then, the delicious cured pork belly has become the "meat candy" of the world.

 

In 1539, Hernando de Soto brought 13 Pigs to the New World, landing them in La Florida.

3 Years later ==> 700 native Floridian Pigs !

 

In 1924, Oscar Meyer received a Patent for packaged sliced Bacon.
